Zinkenite, was studding his notes, or at least he was trying to. There was some new information in the database thanks to some of the officers, except that a certain ‘Po’, was trying to talk to him, something irritating about…recommending, and ‘officer’ and bother bother bother.” “FINE!” he snapped, slamming his hands down on the desk. “FINE… OK, finish your recommendation so that I can get back to my notes, wait… officer?” He blinked and rubbed at his eyes, ok, he was a little tired, “Ok… tell me about the person you think would make such a good officer so I can finish cross referencing.”

Xe jumped as Zink's hand came down on his desk, and she narrowed her eyes at him before what she'd been saying appeared to catch up to him. "As I was saying," she huffed softly, before smiling at him. "I went head to head with this guy the other day. He's a boxer, a really good one. He also doesn't seem to have a whole lot of qualms about hurting people." She chuckled, then held up her arms so Zink could see the bruises. She was covered from shoulders to hips, but they were nothing to what she'd down to his face. "A little cocky, but I think he could be an asset. If you agree, I'd volunteer to take him under my wing to show him the ropes." Her palms flattened against the desk as she leaned against it. "You know I can handle it."

Zinkenite rubbed at his eyes and reached for a cup, it was empty and he set it down with a small sigh. “Fine, alright… “ He nodded. “Fine, I’ll trust your judgment.” He nodded slightly. “Do you think you temper his cockiness? Hone it to something that won’t get him killed?” He tapped his fingers on the desk and glanced down at her spread hands for a moment. There was not so much criticism in his voice, so much as testing the resolve felt about being able to teach this potential new officer.

Having first hand experience in shoving that rampant cockiness back down Piper's throat, Xe was fairly confident she'd have little trouble forcing the young man to toe the line. What common sense couldn't enforce, corporeal punishment would. Piper respected violence and power, and that was something Xenotime had in abundance. "I know so," she grinned, fingers curling against the desk top. "Let me do this, Sir. You won't be disappointed." She was an asset. a crucial cog in the war machine. This would prove it. This would let her climb the ladder.

He nodded and leaned to one side in the chair, eyes speculative. “… Do you want me to go with you?” He asked, and for once it was a legitimate question, he asked her nearly as a peer. “I may regardless I warn you, I am curious whom you are so intent to corrupt that you risked interrupting my notes, and my temper such as it is.” He gave a short sharp laugh, the edge of humor trying to return but not entirely there to be fair. “What do you think? Yes, or no?”

She blinked at him, cool eyes going thoughtful. "I wasn't aware at my current level I was able to corrupt anyone." Which was true, though even if she had been, she probably still would have sought approval. As a captain, she still understood the importance of the chain of command, and as much as she may have enjoyed testing her limits with the general-king, she was not keen to simply go against him. "I assumed you would be accompanying me, so I definitely don't mind." His sharp bark of laughter inspired a quick upturn of lips. Not quite smug, but something close. "He's tenacious." Hell, he reminded her of herself. Stubborn, big headed, determined. Not to mention brutal.

“Ahh yes…” he said waving his hand like he’d been reminded of something inconvenient. “Captains DO need assistance with such things, why the devil aren’t you a General yet?” He frowned with a mock scolding as he stood and chuckled. “Then I suppose I must come. We shall see what this new, likely addition to our Spec Ops branch has to offer in person. And…what’s more perhaps this will be a good measure of how ready you will be to be promoted yourself.” “Perhaps, if I am sufficiently impressed I will show you how it feels to bring someone to our side.”

A snort followed his question, and Xenotime brought her arms up to cross over her chest. "Because you haven't promoted me yet." There was no bite to her words, she was merely stating a fact. Honestly, it hadn't been that long ago that she'd be bumped up to captaincy. As overly confident as she was, even she didn't expect the raise in the ranks quite that quickly. She was fishing her cell phone free of one of her pockets as he continued talking, but she looked up at the tantalizing possibility of being the one to do the actual corruption. It had her wetting her lips, mind reeling with the very idea. She wanted it. Oh yes she did. And it showed in grey eyes. Chewing on the inside of her cheek, she glanced back down at her hands, then flicked her eyes up to the general-king. "The gym's closed right now, I can have him meet me there. It'll be private."

“Not has anyone else…” he shook his head and arched a brow. “Shockingly I’m not the only one who can.” He rolled his shoulders in a shrug and adjusted his mask, running a thumb over the edge of it where it swept over the bridge of his nose. He did smile though, the hint of it just playing in fine shadows where the mask fit close to his mouth, a small almost hidden curve as his lips played upward. “Sounds acceptable to me.” He nodded. “Has he any idea what he is about to encounter?” It was a strange question perhaps but a legitimate one. He was not wholy a fan of learning about the dark kingdom too far in advance but there had been a recent trend.

The captain made a soft 'tch' sound, almost dismissive. "I don't routinely report to anyone else." Which was not to say she wouldn't obey orders from any of the other figure heads within the negaverse. "Of all our royalty, I would think it would be you who will ultimately make the call on when I will be promoted, because it is you who knows me best, Sir." She smiled, answering that shadow of movement behind the dark mask. There was no hint of cheek in her voice, no bubbling sarcasm. But these were all matters for another day. "None." Silver eyes lingered on him a moment longer before dropping to her phone, tapping out a quick message. An impish grin lighting on pale features. "I've sent him an offer he can't refuse, now we just have to get there and wait." Still smiling, she offered the general-king a wink, then disappeared. Zink had been to the gym before, she had no doubt he could find his way there again. When the captain reappeared it was within darkness. Familiarity took her automatically to the wall housing the light switches, and she turned on one, the singular lamp that hung over the boxing ring. She also unlocked the front door, then powered down. Ready to greet her friend as Porsha, rather then the unknown agent. cheekiebirdiee Text to Piper: Come to the gym, I'll show you just how well I know how to use these hands. You have twenty minutes, don't be late.

He took a brief glance around, side to side, and then up, he smirked to himself before bending his knees slightly and launching upward with tremendous ease. He landed lightly in the rafters; shifting to adjust his balance and then crouching like some dark robed gargoyle to watch the proceedings below. “I must admit I have some curiosity as to what you sent that will so absolutely draw him in.” He said and yet turned his gaze to the door. “How long do you believe it will take him to get here? Not long I hope….” It wasn’t that he was impatient; it was just that crouching in the rafters over a sparring ring would take their toll even on his patience. He also had no desire to have his leg fall asleep while he was waiting, that did absolutely nothing for dignity.

Smooth and relaxing, on another inhale of his cigarette Piper stretched out on the skate park pavement. The new construction in the park giving him a clear path to the street as a view. Though it would nice to have new ramps when they finished, the incessant banging and rattling from the construction could drive anyone batty, himself no exception. Just about to blow the joint a sudden rumbling from below put a pause to his plans.
Buzz, buzz, buzz.
The soft rattle of his cell vibrating against the ground broke out and Piper lifted his smoke from his lips, tossing it on a flick to the ground. Shifting to his side he pushed a hand deep into his back pocket and withdrew the cellphone. Bringing it around and into view, stormy eyes ran the name 'Knock out' and lit up in devious delight. The message he flipped open to only parted his smirking lips wider, come to the gym hum?
Twenty minutes.
Pushing up Piper tossed his board to the ground and gave a jump, sailing away towards the gym. Knowing it was closed which made the promise of her hands far more exciting, and made his foot kick all the faster. With ten minutes to spare he jumped from his board and pushed through the open front door of the gym, taking a moment to adjust to the darkness before he started to move towards the solo light.
Following the hum of the lamp that hung over the boxing ring Piper glanced around for signs of Po. "Po," calling out as he entered further, Piper tucked his board under his left arm and pushed the right through his wind mussed hair.

Silver eyes rolled up and into the rafters. "Oh you know, something lurid and obscene." She waggled her brows at him, grinning, before moving out of the circle of light directly under the lamp. Porsha liked the shadows, she was at home there. So many wonderful things were born from darkness, herself included. It had been here that Painite had found her. Some dark, quiet night, alone in the gym. Training. Always training. Painted nails slid along the patched face of the heavy bag as she walked past it. It didn't talk half as long as she'd expected for the bell over the front door to announce piper's arrival. He strode right in, as she'd known he would. Calling for her as he searched the darkness outside that bright ring of limited visibility. He passed his fingers through his hair, tucking his skateboard under his arm, and she moved up behind him soundlessly. "It only took you ten minutes," she intoned quietly, pulling the skateboard out of his arms as a means to turn him around to face her. "Someone's eager." The grin she turned up to him was wolfish and inciting, and she dropped the board on the mat beside them before taking a a deliberate step back, beckoning for him to follow. She kept moving until her back was against the side of the boxing ring, then lay her palms against his chest, sliding them up until her arms were draped across his shoulders. She kissed him, fierce and rough, before raising on tip toe so she could press her cheek against the side of his face, voice warm as she spoke against his ear. "I've never faced off against anyone else quite so tenacious. It was impressive." Her grin carried into her tone. She rolled her eyes up to where she knew Zink was crouching in the rafters. "You're strong," she purred. "Powerful." The tip of her tongue slid along the lobe of his ear, against an earring. "Ruthless." Her left hand left the nape of his neck. Porsha cupped his cheek, fingertips gliding across his skin, thumb brushing over his lips before she trailed that soft touch down his throat, over his chest. "But you could be so much more." The edge of teeth found his ear, and in that moment she recalled the chaos that made her Xenotime. The girl melted away, the captain stood in her place, pressed against the young man, caressing a hand across the muscled plains of his chest as she teased along the lobe of his ear. "You show so much Promise, Piper."

“If you are quite done trying to put on a show.” Zinkenite sounded somewhere between ‘less than impressed’ and ‘less than pleased’ with having been there to watch her nibble earlobes and lick at her prey like a cat and cream. He shifted on his perch there in the rafters like some brooding anti-hero. He did however lack a cowl, or any resemblance to nocturnal flying mammals. “So pleased to make your acquaintance, Piper. If you’re done letting my officer molest you in public, we have an offer for you so to speak.’ He leapt lightly free of the rafters, landing with a precision and ease that said he’d shaken off whatever pain the impact of landing from such a height as though he’d done little more than taken a step. “When you are ready Xenotime, take his star seed in hand, Carefully.” He didn’t feel the need to remind her that she should not try and draw it out, she’d been made into an officer herself, so he had little doubt she understood at least the basics of what stayed where, even if she currently lacked the power to do this herself.

Searching with a silent pant he continued his advance into the darkness, blood pumping in anticipation. There was something about tonight, something that promised a good time. It wasn't often he broke into places to meet someone so this was new, new and that much more thrilling. When he felt the board tucked under his arm being pulled out and the tickle of breath on him as Po spoke out from the shadows, a hard grin set in place. Spinning on his heels, Piper came face to face with a familiar wolf. "Wha'can ah say, gotta hand fetish?" Piper smirked, tone set lazy on purpose as he replied to the comment of being eager.
Dangerous but beautiful, when would he learn his lesson? Never. He loved it, playing with fire that he knew would burn him was twice as enticing than any mere flame.
When she beckoned he came, following her blindly with a streak of desire running through stormy orbs. As they approached the ring the hunger grew, his own hands moved to rest above the set on his chest. Fingers fiddling with the smaller set in hopes of encouragement, then falling to rest on her hips when she locked around his shoulders. Piper caught the fierce liplock on a deep groan, nails biting into the hips they held as their lips collided in the rough kiss. Po was being a little weird sure but hell if he cared after a kiss like that. Relaxing as they parted he rose a brow when hearing her speak of their past fight, on a deep chuckle his tongue slipped out to delivered a run of cold metal along Po's ear. "Wha' gotta ya thinkin bout that?" Piper purred back curious and with a press of hips, trying to speed things up, even though he didn't mind the feed of ego.
Giving up he shut his eyes and let the woman have her way, a few small groans slipping out into the barely lit gym. Be so much more? While that sounded like a good proposal for training to him, the current situation had him ignoring it in favor of caressing up her sides. The glide of her fingers across his skin was intoxicating, left in a haze by the tantalizing touches he gave a louder groan when sharp teeth found the edge of his ear. "Ah..dayum girl..-" The rest of his sentence was edging on, calm the ******** down, but as Po spoke more of promise he couldn't help but blink his eyes open.
Barely registering the change in his friend due to his state it was the male voice that set off red flags. What was she- wait- who the ******** said that?! Piper's hands curled around the hips he held, head shooting up in the direction of the voice, now on edge. His body was confused the stroking of his chest and feel of warmth pressed to him relaxed him but the intrusion of the..ninja, set him on edge. "Listen guy M'all fer threesomes, but wha'da hells ya on about?" For a moment his tone was icy, clearly showing he was more than a little upset to find out they weren't alone but as he spoke it melted into an interested purr.
Xenotime? Star seed? This definitely wasn't dirty talk and he knew dirty talk. Releasing as he realized his gaze shifted down to Po, or who would have been Po moments ago. Even with the strangeness and confusion he wasn't scared, scared was simply something he didn't do. With a tilt back of his head Piper regarded the woman with a blunt, "what tha ******** is going on?" He was going to get to the bottom of this, since it wasn't what he signed up for.
