It seems Gaia is possibly going to make a marriage system...amazing right? But if they do, they better allow same sex marriages!!! (how else am I going to force Myst to marry me? razz )

This is a bad idea. And not just because I wouldn't use it, but because I see the whole ing becoming rather annoying.
A wedding-ish flash space would be an okay idea, but an actual marriage system is just... Eh.
People say they're Gaia married without the system anyway. .-.

They've been doing a lot to get some of us upset lately. :/Yeah, see a need, fill a need, as they say. Although, it's not really a need, so much as a want. A want that could be filled with no help from Gaia. >_< It's kinda like having a pair of doors that lead to the same room, except going through one you pay for, and it comes with a free sticker. :/

They've been doing a lot to get some of us upset lately. :/Yeah, see a need, fill a need, as they say. Although, it's not really a need, so much as a want. As far as filling wants versus needs, this site is a form of entertainment and therefore a want as opposed to a need overall, but within the website, I'll admit there are some better areas that could be focused on. Personally, I wish Gaia would move a new form of chat bar up on the docket as that was one of the features I used most once it was introduced, but I view this marriage proposal (pff I'm so clever blaugh ) as just a toe stuck in to test the waters; they're far from starting to code the framework that will uphold the system.
I like the room analogy. xD On the other hand, though, people buy pixel doll art in mini shops...apparently uncaring of the fact that our avatars are pixel art in the first place. There will always be some redundancy to most any function Gaia implements (see: alchemy), but if people choose to use that function, it's clearly doing its intended job.

The avatar art thing doesn't come across as accurately to me though. o: It's like suggesting that once one owns a single piece of art, any additional pieces are of no desire. .-. Ugh, Alchemy is far too much of a gold sink. :/ Things don't always need to be good or serve a function for people to partake in them though. emotion_facepalm

I'm pretty sure they initially meant it to be the real martial status, but when you're a teenage girl and looking to do silly things with your profile, that's what you do, haha
Eh.
If they hadn't made gold easier to obtain, there will be hoards of people complaining about how hard it is to get gold (not that there's isn't hoards even now). And of course, now the economy's blown up just like it's blowing up IRL.

That's the roller coster I'm on right now. emotion_facepalm All of my money goes to other causes, like the ball, or the Guilds I help out, and my responsibilities have climbed into the millions monthly, and somehow I scoot by on no income somehow somehow... @.@So now, I'm like, oh boy! Prices are up! I can sell all of this stuff for a lot of gold! =D And then I'm like, but prices are still up, and I can't use this gold for anything! D= emotion_facepalm
