It rather denotes a lack of courage...
Which was exactly the model for which Belladonna lived her life. Even if that meant going to the Maul dressed in a full bustle that just barely missed dragging on the ground. And the only reason for that was because she had paired the ensemble, a monstrosity of pink and black mixed with shots of violet and topped it all off with a hat that was covered in ribbons, with a pair of extra high heels. Unfortunately the heels only served to keep her dress from touching the ground and not making her any taller than 5'2". Which was honestly just perfectly fine by her.
With a smile and a wave at various passerby's the witch cheerily made her way through the maul, pausing to browse in windows and carefully considering stopping at the flower shop for a big bouquet of roses to walk around with. That would be... Really lovely.

With a bit of a more pronounced bounce she hurried over to the flower shop and stood in front of the window, wistfully looking at all the pretty buds inside. There was no way she could go inside, not like the way she was now. She'd come out with at least twelve separate flowers attached to her dress. Maybe if she had planned to come shopping she should have dressed down instead of up... Whoops...

Davi could safely say that she had no idea what she was doing. Come to the maul, Adelaide said. Get out of the dorm, he said. You'll have fun. The werewolf found herself staring around the flower shop morosely, ears flickering at the grey roses, and no idea how she'd gotten to this particular store in the first place. Was she supposed to find flowers fun? Did other ghouls think pleasantly of the blooms?

...They smelled...a lot. They had that going for them, at least. And the shop didn't have a bad selection: next to the grey were blood-red roses, and ones as blue as a zombie's skin. The ones that smelled the best (read: least overpowering) were in the window; soft pink petals with stems that bore the faintest hint of dark, cankerous sores. The ghoul bought a bouquet, watching the shopkeeper gather her flowers, and paid on her way out. Spontaneous purchases were fun, right...? So when did the fun kick in?

With a curious eye, the witch watched the werewolf ghoul wander into the shop, thinking to herself that she looked a bit like she were buying flowers for a sad occasion rather than for fun. There seemed something melancholy about the werewolf's face, but it was totally likely that the witch was projecting a bit of her own inner worries onto the ghoul who wandered around the shop for a bit. It must be difficult for one with a more attuned sense of smell to wander through a flower shop, but oh it must have been wonderful to smell food and boilfriends and the autumn air!
Belladonna was getting a little wrapped up in imagining a fun little life for the werewolf ghoul that as the ghoul came closer to where the witch stood outside the window, she totally forgot that she could be seen. With her pointy little nose pressed against the glass, the witch watched as the ghoul bought the most gorgeously colored flowers only to turn around and walk out the store without a smile.

That just would not do.

"What beautiful flowers! They suit you wonderfully!" Belladonna chirped as she fluttered, or did her best to flutter, after the ghoul. "Is pink your favorite color? I do so love it myself." She laughed with a small swish of her long skirt dotted with pink lace.
"But you do not look very happy... Flowers make everyone happy!" Look! Belladonna hadn't even bought herself any and she was smiling!

One paw in front of the other. An armful of roses, pretty as they were...fun had to begin soon, didn't it? Yet Davinica found herself cradling a bundle of flowers, pungent scent wreathing around her head like a stormcloud, and garnering no satisfaction at all.

At least when the other ghoul hailed her, she felt something. The werewolf gave a start of surprise, head following ears that swung toward the joyous witch. At least, Davi assumed she was a witch; she dressed the part. "Suit me? Do they...?" She replied quietly, letting the question hang as the witch continued hers. They were good ones, Davi supposed - she couldn't remember if she had a favorite color.

She stared down at the bundle in her arms, nose twitching gently at the blooms' continued onslaught. Nice as these were, pink probably wasn't it.

But it was certainly the other's. Hearing her state so plainly what was already so obvious... Well, that brought the ghost of a smile to the wolf's face. "I don't think I've ever been a flowers kind of monster. You are...clearly. I mean, not a monster, but... Ah..." She felt tongue-tied. Why did talking - feeling - interacting - have to be so hard? "Here." Davi split the bundle, gingerly holding half the half-dozen out for the other ghoul. That...surprisingly, wasn't that hard.
