It was the late afternoon when Anemone got up the idea to go outside. She wasn't wearing anything special. A simple pair of shorts and a tank top covered her body while a pair of flip flops temporarily covered her feet. She had no intention of leaving her shoes on so she didn't even bother to wear any but at the same time she didn't want to risk cutting her foot open on the trip there. Flip flops had been the obvious choice, and a cheap replacement if she forgot to take them with her at the end of the day.
All it took was one good kick with each leg and soon her flip flops were flying through the air. She kicked them further than she meant to and found herself chasing after them to find out where they had landed. Maybe if she followed them to the end of the park she'd find a treasure.

Nina really just didn’t get out much. There wasn’t much of a point to it, and since she spent so much time dancing…that had become her life. Dancing and sleeping. It wasn’t much of a life to be honest, and feelings of loneliness and isolation crept up on her whenever she let her mind wander. Aside from her dance instructors she hadn’t really spoken to anyone in the last…who even knew how many months, and she sure hadn’t powered up.
The sweet freedom of being free from the white moon had long since worn off and she just…didn’t feel anything. She hadn’t felt anything for such a long time.
She was out now, in the park just letting the breeze wrap around her, humming softly as she practiced for her next ballet class. At least she was practicing pretty well until…
Well until the shoe hit her square in the head. The redhead paused and looked at it for a long moment before bending down and lifting it, staring at it with evident confusion. What was this doing…?
Another girl came running up then and she assumed the shoe was hers. Well. It looked like some sort of human interaction was going to happen now, and there wasn’t much she could do to stop it. She held the shoe out and waited, the blank and slightly confused look still firmly on her face.

As if two halves had found each other, Nina's blank expression was familiar to Anemone. She stared at the girl and the shoe for what was an abnormal length of time for a normal pair of humans. Nina looked confused as to why the shoe had hit her and Anemone looked confused as to why her shoe was being so friendly with this other girl. It belonged to her!
Anemone took it away from Nina and then threw it on the ground, staring at it awkwardly before she turned back to Nina.
There was no greeting.
She just stared at her.
Was she suppose to say something? The only things that came to mind were in Greek so she stood there in silence.

Nina stared back. Well. Maybe human interaction wasn’t going to happen…and maybe that was fine. She didn’t need it. Didn’t want it…Didn’t…Just didn’t.
Finally though she shrugged. “Hi.” It was simple, and brief…and really all that she choose to say. It was almost as though words were a forgotten thing to her now…she didn’t know how to talk to someone. Meeting people had become so difficult…maybe even dangerous. She was a lost person, lost in thought, lost memories…just lost.
Dance class…that was simple. Physical. She didn’t have to talk. She just had to dance, and practice. And try. This…this meeting someone new…who hit her with a shoe…then threw the shoe away…wasn’t it hers?
Or were shoes just raining down from the sky now? Curiously Nina looked up, frowning at the sky. Was another shoe going to come down anytime soon?

Anemone looked at Nina with uncertainty when she greeted her. Should she engage? She had her doubts. Maybe she should just leave now. She looked behind her, checking the area over her shoulder before she too looked above them to the sky. Was it going to rain? Why was this girl staring up at the sky and frowning like that?
"Yo wuzzup?" She said with a simple greeting exchange, one hand landing on her hip.

Yo wuzzup. What kind of a greeting was that? Nina was….in a word, flabbergasted. Who even said things like that? What was she even expected to say in response? Yo dawg, wuzzup yourself? Was that the right things to say?
The redhead shook her head, then shrugged. “Nothing much, I suppose…was that your shoe? It…hit me in the head…”
Sure, like that was any better than talking in her ghetto…style.
This whole thing was rather pathetic. Human interaction was such a hard thing to grasp after forcing yourself into isolation mode for the last…year. Very difficult indeed.

What kind of greeting was it? Only the best greeting ever! Anemone was proud of her adaption in the English language and how fast she was learning how to properly communicate with the people of Destiny City! She had gotten proper greetings down and was she moving onto conversation? She stared at Nina trying to make sense of what she was saying, regrettably wishing the girl spoke less. Who spoke this much? She really wished Ellie was here with the translation app.
"Nah." She said, which was a little ambiguous. "Shoe Annie."
And then she swung her arm at Nina, aiming to bonk her on the head.

Okay…either this girl was incredibly slow, didn’t speak much English…or was a complete troll.
Nina really wasn’t sure what to think, but nodded. “Ok. I…I’m Nina.” She hoped that the girl hadn’t named the shoe Annie, but…hey. She could do what she wanted. The redhead frowned and took a step backwards as ‘Annie’ attempted to hit her? She gave a very confused look and shrugged. “Um…no hitting, please?”
Did this girl just want to be like her shoe? Did everyone just want to bonk her on the head today?
Nina fumbled for something to change the subject, something to just get away from the whole…hitting thing. Finally she shrugged. “Nice hair.”

It wasn't an A, B or C sort of answer. It was actually a little of all three.
Anemone looked at the girl who proclaimed herself as Nina and then seemed shocked when she told her not to hit her. Why was she changing her mind! She wanted her to hit her just a second ago! Her face shifted to an unpleasant, judging sort of look. Just how fickle was this Nina?
"Ermmmmm," she groaned unhappily, her arms falling to her side. Upon hearing something about her hair, she found her hands holding a ball in her hand and from there she held it out to Nina.
