Following his match with Cartwright, Stephan Thompson was caught backstage by Matt Swyper for an interview to see if anyone could get some answers as to what motivated Thompson to stage a vicious assault on Cartwright following him being assaulted by his tag team partner AJ Warner during their match tonight.

Swyper- "Thompson, could we get a moment of your time, everyone want's to know why you felt the need to assault one of PWS' favorite superstars in what is as far as we can tell, a completely unprovoked attack? What do you have to say for yourself?"

Thompson would look at Swyper with a look of disgust on his face, the fact that he just referred to Cartwright as a PWS favorite was what was in Thompson mind, wrong with this place to begin with. He would shake his head and begin to speak in a very serious tone of voice.

"You know something Matt, you may be right. Maybe the attack on that poor English b*****d was taking it a little to far. Maybe, just maybe I crossed a line. But let me ask you something Matt, when's the last time you saw a match in PWS that was any good? Take your time...I'll wait."

Swyper would scratch his head for a moment, trying to come up with an answer to Thompson's question but after about 10 seconds, Thompson cut him off.

"Alright man, don't hurt yourself, I'll tell you why it's so hard for you to come up with an answer. It's because there hasn't been any. PWS has been in a bit of a slump lately and it's because for some reason everyone here seems to think that the Shark Pit is some kind of three ring circus, I mean up until recently there was a petting zoo fighting over which one of them was going to get to carry the top title out to the ring that week. And then there are guys like Cartwright, who encourage fans to inflict pain on themselves in support of him. I mean seriously, it's like some kind of Freakshow around here...no pun intended. Where's the Talent that Cartwright used to bring to the ring? I mean, when I was younger, I remember watching this guy in his EEW days bring such a level of competition to the ring that people would actually believe him when he said he was good. But now, the only reason they cheer him is because of his name, but everyone knows that Cartwright has gone soft, hell even Warner saw it, otherwise why would he have turned on his own partner? It really is sad, having to do what I did to a man I once had such tremendous respect for, but the reason I did what I did was to help Cartwright. He needs to realize when his time is over, and move on. If Cartwright is smart, he will never show his face in a PWS ring again...if he is smart that is."

And with that said, Thompson would push past Swyper and make his way to the locker room. What would The Talented One have to say in response to this?
