He was not entirely certain how he had gotten here in the first place.

The Ghost Dorms were quite interesting on their own, but considering Llyr had spent most of his morning in the forest, he was slightly confused as to how he had ended up on the opposite side of campus and was now in a building that he did not remember walking into in the first place.

Oh, well.

Llyr drifted through the dorms curiously, peering here and there and dragging the over-long bedsheet with him. He was wearing a very overlarge shirt that could have passed for a nightgown, as well as some baggy shorts beneath that, but the sheet was somehow comforting anyway.

He passed by an open door, stopped, and walked back, poking his head inside.

There were fluffy things in here.

Llyr crouched down in the doorway, eyes wide with unabashed fascination as he watched the little poofy things bounce here and there, and a part of him distinctly went I want one.

All it took was one of the aforementioned fluffy things to notice the new stranger, and then they promptly swarmed towards the door making excited little yipping noises like puppies in a minipet store. Despite their enthusiasm they mysteriously refused to put more than one step over the threshold, and even though they pushed at each other to sniff the lingering stranger the swarm never broke out into the hallway.

It took a moment for the room's occupant to appear from behind a couch. Jove had been expecting his brother, and was entirely surprised to see a bizarrely-clad stranger. With a frown he walked over, through the foxfires, and stood in front of the older boil.

He wasn't sure what was going on, but if that guy decided to make off with one of his foxfires, there would be a swift bonking involved.

Llyr was entirely unaware that the fluffy, yipping things belonged to someone, and spent the next several seconds staring at the little creatures, reaching out a hand to let his fingers brush over their soft fur.

It was very soft.

He was so preoccupied with this very strange and delightful new discovery that he failed to notice that their owner had arrived until a good long minute afterwards. A shadow had been cast across one of the white fluffs, and Llyr glanced upwards, only to find -

- another fluffy thing.

Except this one looked like himself except not really. He had arms and legs and a suspicious looking, freckled face, and Llyr stared at him too and then back at the fluffs in a musing sort of fashion, wondering if one of them had turned into this new fluff.

"How interesting..." he said aloud, his voice steeped in thought and vagueness.

... What?

Jove's suspicious look turned to a scowl. Although he no longer seemed to be a foxfire-kidnapping risk, this boil was definitely something. Clearly his manners were lacking, one didn't often crouch in the hallway peering into other students' rooms. And if one did, surely they should at least acknowledge the owner of said room!

Jove crossed his arms in front of him, wondering if he should just... shut the door. But his foxfires were enjoying themselves... They had resorted to scrambling over each other, happily darting between the stranger and their owner as though saying "look! do you see! look at this person!"

Llyr squinted more at the fluffy haired creature that looked vaguely like a student. Then he reached out, carefully picked up one of the squirming, yipping poofy things and held it out towards him with a curious and expectant expression on his face, like he wasn't sure if the two were related or not.

Apparently that was the last straw. Jove seized the happy fluff out of the stranger's hands, set it on the ground, and pointed at the bed on the far side of the room with a snort. It, and the other foxfires, looked torn between visiting the exciting new stranger and listening to their person, but in the end they all wiggled their way to the bed and lay down on or under it.

All little beady eyes remained on their person and the stranger.

Jove glared at the older boil. Don't touch the foxfires. Especially if you are some sort of weirdo foxfire kidnapper. Or just someone who doesn't know them personally.

Llyr looked vaguely crestfallen. He'd taken away the fluffy thing, but now the big fluffy one was pointing towards the bed and he wasn't sure what he was trying to indicate.

Obediently Llyr shuffled into the room after the rest of the creatures and promptly sat down on the bed like a good boil.

... Well.

The little pup had not expected that, but it became clear this boil was just too simple to be any sort of foxfire thief. Jove huffed. Stared a bit longer, just in case. And then with a resigned sigh he picked up a foxfire and dropped it in the boil's lap. If he wanted to look at a foxfire, he'd better just get it over with, and hopefully curtail any future weirdness.

Jove did, however, keep a watchful eye. He would be ready to react in an instant if the other boil made any move to squash, eat, or otherwise harm his innocently idiotic pet.

He was handing him a fluff.

He was handing him a fluff.

Llyr looked up with wondering eyes to the fluffy boil and reached out, accepting it with a very pleased look on his face. Running his hands over the soft fur, he said nothing at all and just made a sound of happiness low in his throat.

He held it up towards the boil and gave him an expectant look.

Jove was not sure what this meant. This expression as he held out the wiggling foxfire. Had it been a pet, Jove would have known it was looking for a treat, but... in a boil?

The ghost took the foxfire, and set it down on the ground, only to pick up another, and offer it to the stranger. If he was going to have this new boil-pet-thing in his room, he'd better learn to understand what he wanted. In this case, he could only guess that pleased look + happy sound + returning foxfire with THAT expression meant... time for another foxfire? If that didn't do the trick, Jove would have to break out the dog biscuits. And then he would have a whole pile of excited fluff to deal with.

When the other boil took the fluffy thing, Llyr looked eager - and then slightly crestfallen when he put the thing down on the ground.

However, he was soon handed another one, and Llyr happily plucked it up into his hands, watching as its little feet dangled beneath it like fluffy little stubs. He ran its fingers along its soft fur and then set it down on the bed, curling up on his side.

Maybe it was naptime.

The instant Llyr was on his side, the foxfires swarmed over him in a happy and ungraceful pile. Well, at least the other pets were getting along well...

With a resigned sigh, Jove sat down on the bed next to the pile of writhing fluff that had once been a student. How did this happen anyway? If this student had stumbled across Ren's foxfires first, surely his big brother would have known what to do. He would have been able to figure out what was going on.

Llyr decided he was really okay with this.

Stretching out his limbs, he turned over, his long dark hair falling over the side of his bed and reached out his arms to gather several of the fluffy things against his chest. A pleased look on his face, his cheeks slightly pink, he looked up at the boil-creature.

"Llyrendil," he said as though this actually made sense.

Jove could only assume this new boil-pet was talking nonsense. Gibbering random things like his foxfires when they started up a round of completely pointless and inane barking. The little ghost wasn't sure what to do. So he reached out and pet the boil on the head. Good boil.

Meanwhile the foxfires didn't seem to object being cuddled, they merely shuffled and stepped on each other until they found a comfortable spot. They were used to sleeping with Jove, and re-settling every time he stirred.

Oh, the head pat was nice. The head pat reminded him of Erebus patting a paw on his head, and this was pretty similar, so it was altogether quite nice.

Llyrendil was pleased. And to show this pleasure, he reached out, slung n arm around the boil's shoulder, and dragged him down to squash him among the little fluffy creatures in a big fluffy hug.
