This night was a long time in the making. Since fleeing from Paris three days ago, Kallichore had not been answering her senshi cellphone. There were not return calls, no messages or voicemails to be left. The simple ringtone had gone ignored, as if it never existed in the first place. The phone was left floating in the oblivion of the dimension from which it came. Kallichore didn't want to hear from Ganymede or Valhalla or Pasiphae - the people who forbid killing in an effort to save the souls of those corrupted by Chaos. The eternal senshi didn't want to hear their words of worry, encouragement. They would have fallen on deaf and exhausted ears. Sleep had been a fleeting mistress, Kallichore appearing even more haggard than she usually did. Three days with very little sleep were taking a heavy toll on her. Her face was gaunt, her movements listless. She wasn't patrolling, not this night. She was seeking, actively pinpointing and following high-ranking Chaos signatures for a singular warped purpose. Relief. It was in that moment the Chaos signature, very likely a General, had stopped moving. Another signature was nearby, someone much lower-ranked, and in an instant was snuffed out. Were she in her right mind, Kallichore would have sprung into action to avenge the death of someone from the side of Order, but not this night. Her heart did not clench, the strings of it weren't pulled at all. Stone cold and with a sigh, Kallichore lit on a nearby abandoned car in the parking lot not ten yards from what ended up being the final resting place of a senshi. Wolframite was the General standing over them, soul in his hand and she recognized him from her days in the Blood Moon Court. When he was finished tearing the soul from that lifeless body, Kallichore hazarded hailing him. "Good evening, General Wolframite."

They always needed energy, and even moreso now after the meeting with Metallica. Killing was everyday, though some Negaversers were so fresh and bright eyed that they were still under the illusion that they would never see blood. It was one he regretted noticing as those same greenhorns were just as naive as he once had been, ages ago when the fraction was still run by Charonite and Nealite, when starseed ripping was the only way, and creatures like Wise Man still roamed the streets.
When he felt the energy signature approaching, he made sure to finish off the senshi quickly, and starseed in hand, he clutched it possessively, a prize for the night, and let the warmth seep in his fingers as he tucked it into his uniform to deliver later.
His chain hung limp by his side, dripping blood, and he looked up when the senshi landed. He was tired from his fight, having had to chase the senshi down after her magic failed to help her win. She too had thought a fight ended when someone ran, and that no one would ever chase her down. Wolframite did, and would any senshi who thought that he'd show mercy. Rats had to be killed before they grew big and fat on their own power.
"You're a little late." He informed the senshi, reaching down to grab the brittle mass of meat and flesh still remaining. The girl's head hung limp, her legs cut and sides slashed, viciously torn by the serrated blades of the General's weapon. He had made sure she couldn't run, but she was alive enough to ripe out the valuable seed from within.
He tossed the body in her direction, letting it crumple and roll on the ground. "If you want the body, there you go."
If she wanted a fight though, he'd have to decide if he wanted to eat the starseed he just managed to get, wasting it, in order to have the energy to trade up and try to go for her's, or else he'd have to teleport out and save the battle for a later day. High risks, stupid risks, were not ones he liked making. Ever since loosing his eye and being ambushed, he knew better.

"I'm not interested in her. I'm interested in you, General." came an even reply. Kallichore blinked, heavy-lidded, noting the blood on his weaponry, the heaving of his chest and the twinkle of a soul in his jacket pocket. The dead senshi's body lay in an eviscerated heap near the car on which Kallichore stood but the eternal paid it little mind. Instead, she gently stepped down from the roof of the car and stepped over the body, never once really looking down to see who it was, see if it was someone she recognized from nights past. If blood stained her fuku, she didn't notice as it was already its own kind of stained. Her steps were slow, deliberate and her hands hung limp by her sides. If Wolframite decided to attack, Kallichore would evade but would put up no fight of her own. She wasn't interested in a battle tonight. "You will receive no quarrel from me, General. Keep the starseed. I'm just here to ask questions if you would give me an audience. If not, I will leave you to your night and find another General to speak to. That is all." Stopping roughly six feet from Wolframite, she noted how small he looked versus the amount of sheer damage he could inflict. Yes, he definitely was the same Negaverse officer the older members of the Blood Moon Court had mentioned during Operation Rota. "Your perspective on the war is unique and that is what I am interested in, General Wolframite. Do we have a truce, or should I leave you be?"

He had no interest in senshi who sought him out. That usually meant trouble, a trap of some sort, or a order given by some princess who wanted him for something. He never wanted to be on any senshi's mind unless it was with worry, fear, and hatred.
Watching for a reaction, he saw the woman step over the body, showing no care. It said something about their fraction when they didn't give two shits about their fallen comrades. At least the Negaverse had a unmarked graveyard for their fallen where they buried their soldiers. He'd been there. He had dug a few holes himself.
She stood, arms out, but he didn't let his guard drop. Magic didn't need hands to operate. "I never give a truce to a senshi. I've learned that you are not above stopping so low as to use trips and overpowering a officer. I'm not so stupid to forget. If you want to stand there and talk, I won't stop you. If you move closer to me, I'll tear you apart. So cut to the point and talk." If it was something worthwhile, he wanted to hear. He'd report it back to the other Generals if it was worth mentioning.

"Very well." Kallichore stayed put where she was, neither moving towards or away from the General, and simply spoke her mind. "My faith in the side of Order is waning. Trying to avenge her death by attacking you wouldn't fix anything. In fact, it would likely make things worse." And she knew all about the traps Wolframite was mentioning - while she wasn't awakened at the time of Rota, it was a point of pride within the Blood Moon. For a long time, Kallichore had idolized the bloodthirsty ways of the Blood Moon, thinking that killing and torture, an eye for an eye, was the only way to get things done. Now that she was forbidden from taking life, she wondered what her purpose was in the war anymore. Like a cat without claws, Kallichore felt near helpless. "I've met several senshi under your care and knew a few of them who switched sides. Tell me, if you would, how you would feel about a senshi who has blood on their hands coming to your side of the war?" How would you feel about the one who took your eye?She was specifically speaking of Lyra, who was a steadfast proponent of the Blood Moon before her change of heart and subsequent corruption. Kallichore had no blood on her own hands but that may change in the future. "I know Ares is now allied with the Negaverse and she had caused much trouble for you. How do you personally feel about that, Wolframite?"

"What the ********? What do I FEEL about that? You little s**t. If you are here to prod at the fact the BMC is on our side, then you are coming to the wrong damn person. I'm not forgiving, but before all else, I'm a soldier! While your side might had no direction what-so-ever, I follow orders. The BMC can do whatever the hell it wants. It knows that if they step out of line, the entire force of the Negaverse will act in turn. There are greater powers than even you know that keep them in line. For all the others..." He rose his bloody hand where his weapon dangled, dripping. "...I'll cut them so small that I'll be able to make kebabs with their pieces."
How he wished he could do something, but he was rendered powerless under the orders of his superiors. In the end, it was the number and threat of the senshi that had brought them to accept the BMC to their side, though now that was changed. That was not something he could tell the senshi here though, and he kept that information to himself. If it wasn't for the fact that the Negaverse lacked in power to win against the senshi, it would have never been a deal that was made, and to admit fault in his fraction that he took personally. He had failed if the Negaverse had not been doing well enough to be able to accept senshi scum like that of the BMC.
"My personal feelings are not yours to know. Waning loyalties or not, you are not my comrade. If you want to, then I'll change that starseed right now. Like you know, we already take in senshi. Those who have killed for their side. It just means they have to kill even more to make up for it. They know their place in our group." He looked to her, wondering.
"Why are you waning in your loyalties?" He looked to the dead girl she walked over without looking at her face. "Trouble in Princess Paradise?"

Surprisingly, Kallichore took little to no offense at being called a little s**t. She was too exhausted and addled in her sleep-deprived state to care much about being called names. "For what it's worth, it is not my intention to prod about anything. I am simply asking what things are like on your side of the war, where killing is permitted and progress is actually actively being made." With a sigh, the eternal shifted her weight but did not move from her spot per their arrangement. "It troubles me to know not many have been purified, if any at all. They say it's a possibility but no further information exists, therefore I am beginning to doubt that it's a possibility and believe that it's like the existence of the Moon Queen." She nearly spat on the ground at the sheer silliness of perpetuating a myth such as some celestial queen. "I am beginning to wonder if purification is nothing but propaganda spread among children to keep us occupied and hopeful. Without evidence I strongly question whether royalty can do anything at all." "My work for my faction has done little to stave off corruptions, which was my goal in the first place. Every night, more and more switch sides and I wonder now whether fighting against your tides of Chaos is even worth the effort anymore. Is it more like a stream and we are but fish trying to swim against it? Are we doing nothing but wasting our time and energy?" Touching her chest with a gloved hand, Kallichore posed another question to Wolframite, his offer tempting. "Tell me, I have heard rumors that corruption erases memory. Perhaps I shouldn't even call it corruption anymore as it carries such negative connotations. General Wolframite, I have not slept in days. I'm sure you may understand my predicament."

"Understand? From what I'm hearing, you're a bit unsure about your own fraction, which I haven't been. Unlike your side, there is no wondering who is serving the purpose of good. Corruption only sounds back because it's corrupting your order. To me, it sounds pretty nice." He said with a smile, all for corrupting over nothing, but much more eager to kill than giving a senshi a second chance. The only allure of corruption was taking one of their enemies and making them work against their former side. It was a nice slap to the oppositions face to steal a member of their team.
"If you want answers, then here it is. Your side has numbers, but you have no training. For a group with Princesses, your royalty has no power over you. I see your kind scattered about with no direction, worried and afraid of any sort of fighting, and I have ripped starseeds from those who lack any conviction to their cause. Ever since I was given my uniform and my power, I have known the sacrifices of living this life, been trained to be what I am, and have seen the reality of what can happen. I've seen my comrades torn to pieces before my very eyes, starved and screaming for nights on end, and have fought to protect those on my side that I all consider my team. You haven't had chances to purify because we would rather tear out our own starseed than do that. We don't wonder. We have our own leaders, and they remove such doubt when you stand before them."
He glanced at where she touched, where a starseed was hidden, and looked to her. "I have heard that purification removes memories. I have heard corruption does the same. I mean, if it didn't..." He smiled. "...there would be a lot less of you all right now and a nice pile of corpses to stare at instead."

...a nice pile of corpses to stare at instead.Somehow that thought was comforting. "I see." she started, mulling over the information the General was kind enough to give. "That sort of doubtless conviction is something I have not had since the beginning." Since working under Ares, before she thought herself better than everyone else. Or perhaps she always thought that way? Thought that we were nothing but gutless White Moon pawns? Perhaps that is all we are. "Our royals are fleeting, appearing one moment, explaining their helplessness and ignorance and then disappearing again. It's frustrating to know those who would lead us do no such thing." What Kallichore missed most was making progress, feeling as though her actions, however insignificant, were furthering some kind of goal. Under Ares and the Blood Moon, reports were taken, actions tallied. It was more like she presumed the Negaverse worked than the milling, listless senshi. That frustration, ever since she joined the Jovians, had been gnawing at her deeply. "I have so many memories I would rather forget." the eternal admitted, touching her tousled head softly. "Missed opportunities, failures, deaths that could have been prevented. I will admit, your offer is quite tempting. Would my services be of use to you? Or is this simply a numbers game?" More than anything, Kallichore was desperate to matter again.

He crossed his arms. "Do you honestly believe we just go about taking anyone to get more numbers on our side? We haven't remained a enemy to your side if it was just down to that." They had less members than the Order, who seemed to awaken a new member each day.
"If you aren't of use, we MAKE you of use, or you die trying in the process. No one on our side is around to fill space, and a senshi must work just as hard to prove they hold no loyalties to their previous fraction. There is training, and we don't rely on just magic. You have to earn your keep."
He was getting progressively annoyed in talking with a senshi, and what little space he was giving her in actually talking was being used up. It grated against him to talk to a member of the enemy without carving them into pieces. " I'm NOT spending all day talking to you. Get your act together and decide. This is life and death, and I'm not here to play guidance counselor to you."
But there had to be some use in talking to a senshi. "Your princesses. They do not leave any of you? I felt they had their own teams that they directed. Seems they don't even give you guys clear directions or objectives? What is your goal then each time you senshi go out at night?"

Listening to Wolframite's explanations and the fervor in his voice reminded Kallichore so much of the rigidity of the Blood Moon. It made her heart clench in remorse. Did she make the worst mistake of her life by not allowing Ares to baptize her? Would she have a purpose then? Or would she just be allowing Ares to win? Kallichore didn't know anymore. "I understand and thank you for the time you've given me. You've given me enough to make my decision. That was all I could ask for, General." She sighed and swayed slightly in the wind, as if she wasn't strong enough anymore to bolster herself against it. "One may have a team but I am not certain. The other I have not seen in a long time, not since the ambush. I do not know if she has a team. All they would seem to say is that they don't know what they're doing and have offered us little in the way of guidance. Just pretty dresses and wings and blinding power signatures. I have to say I am extremely disappointed in them." The eternal shook her head, wincing. If she had the guts to simply tell them she thought they were failing as leaders then perhaps she wouldn't have been so disappointed to begin with. Princesses were elusive creatures, however. "What is our goal every night? Heh." Kallichore chuckled at the ridiculousness of it. The General was right - they were nothing but children, milling about with ignorance. "Depends on the senshi. Obviously I can only speak for myself, and my goal is simply a purpose..."

"But you have had meetings. We've seen this. You are at least called to these meetings for a purpose? You just have simple met and greets? For such a large force, your princesses are doing nothing for you." He said, mulling over this. A force without guidance. It would be easy to start putting pressure and placing doubt in the princesses if they lacked leadership. If senshi were coming to them, like this one, then how many could they bring to their side?
"Don't waste your life and talents for a cause you aren't, with all your heart, drive to achieve. It's a waste of a life, and I've seen far too many die." Sure, some of it was by his own hands, but he wasn't so vicious as to desire death if there were alternatives. Well, aside from the BMC. They lost that mercy long ago.
"I never got your name. You knew mine. Allow me to hear yours." It was probably a little late, but if she was willing, it was good to keep tabs on her.

MoonKitsune Thank you so much, Moon! ;; Kallichore couldn't do much else than roll her eyes at the General's mention of meetings. "You mean, gatherings where the royals show themselves off and then tell us they know nothing? Yes, I remember those. I remember the masses milling around in these meetings, all with differing opinions and disagreements erupt and nothing gets done. Yes, those meetings. I feel like I've wasted so much of my time, General." The eternal gave the General as graceful and respectful a bow as she could muster in her condition. "Kallichore. And your words will be considered very carefully. I'd rather not waste the power I have working for something I cannot achieve." Kallichore nodded to Wolframite and turned to leave, stopping briefly at the body of the senshi she didn't have the ability to save. Leaning down, she scooped the girl up and leaped away, wondering if a graveyard would be more respectful a place for the girl than a parking lot.

Lucifer Force NP! It was fun! Wolfy hopes to see her again. He watched the senshi go, not giving chase, and glad he wouldn't have to fight with so little energy as his disposal. Tired, he regarded the spot where the senshi stood, and considered what she said. There was unrest in the senshi organization, no clear leadership, and a bitterness in a lack of answers. It could be very useful in breaking up the opposition and stealing more members to their side. He'd have to bring this up to his superiors and possible see if they could make use of it.
He did have to wonder if he'd see Kallichore again, and if it would be at one of their meeting and not as an enemy. With that, he turned on his heel and teleported away.
