The Eternal Senshi of Danger had had some time to calm down as of late, and his confusion had abated only because he was now refusing to think about anything other than the tasks at hand, whatever they might be for the night.
Tonight, he was examining some parking meters and wondering when the last coin pick up had been. He was pretty sure he could get through the device no trouble, especially powered up, but he did not want to waste his time messing with it when it was already empty.
So he was just looking it over, standing leisurely on the darkened sidewalk, reading the signs that plastered the thing to see if they said anything.
They didn't, as far as he could see, but he was in no rush.
He felt the aura of other white moon folks nearby, but he did not go to meet them. If they wandered over here then so be it, it was just that right now he did not care for hanging out with anyone. He was being grumpy, he supposed.

It was honestly a bad night it would seem, for everyone.
Serpentarius was also in a bad mood, more so because she was confused and didn't know what to do with herself. Arms crossed under her chest she just walks along the dark street. She didn't care at the moment if anyone was in need of her help, she wasn't going to help. This patrol was to help clear her mind, and it wasn't even doing the job.
Lifting her hands to her temples, she ribs hard before she turns her head towards the familiar aura. She knew that aura, she sparred with that aura.
honestly, she wanted to just turn and go the other direction but something told her he might be what she needed at the moment. He seem to give it to her straight, and at the moment, she needed straight answers.
Moving towards the aura, she stops just a few feet away from the eternal senshi. Pushing her brown curls from her face she gives a weak chuckle "Hey Chaonis, why the long face? Who arse do I need to kick?" she give him a weak smile, failing at hiding her own bad mood.

Chaonis turned when he heard the voice, having ignored the aura and hoped they would just go away as he stared at the parking meter. He looked up when he recognized the tone, though, looking a bit more amused now.
"Oh I can kick all the a** I need on my own, you know that." He grinned at her in greeting, nodding his head. He was glad to see her, really, because a friend was a welcome distraction from his musing and brooding.
"You look like you're in a bit of a mood too, eh? What brings you out here, looking for a fight?" he grinned. He was not sure he was too keen on sparring tonight, because he didn't want to hurt her and he was in a bad mood. He nodded his head though, unfolding his arms at least and watching her with a smug look.
"I guess we're both out looking for the same thing. Though I'm actually thinking about busting this thing open."

At the mention of a** kicking, Serpentarius actually rubs at the back of her own skirt "Yea I know, how many times have you kicked mine in sparring now?" she shakes her head before she moves over to the parking meter next tot he one he was standing near "Nope, not in the mood to fight. I just need to clear my head really, its been a pretty..." she pauses as she chews on her lip, thinking carefully.
"Oh screw it, its been a pretty ******** up week. And I'm honestly just...ugh." crossing her arms, she leans against the parking meter. She wasn't one for cursing, but at the moment, she couldn't think of anything else to describe how she felt.
"Go right head, blow it up. I'm not going to stop you, and no one is around." she was honestly to the point she didn't care. It would honestly be amusing to see him break open a parking meter.

Chaonis knew that feeling. That '******** it' feeling, anyway. He was having a very similar experience of his own this week. This month. Hell, he wasn't sure when things had been as simple as he liked to pretend they were, which was a damn shame. If life was as easy as he pretended it was, he would be flying smoothly.
He listened to her, leaning on the other side of the parking meter for the moment. He was pretty close to her, his arms folded over his chest as he regarded her with a sidelong look.
"Alright," he grinned. He motioned for her to back up a bit, cracking his knuckles and rolling his shoulders. He had never broken one of these before. He grinned at her, then took hold of it to test its strength compared to that of a third level senshi.
"So what's been ******** up for you, then? We can exchange petty stories and whine our asses off while we take our frustrations out on this parking meter."

Serpentarius watch him for a moment, taking a step back just to be on the safe side. Her eyes scanning the area just to make sure no one was coming. After all, how bad would it look if someone spotted two senshi breaking into parking meters. Relaxing against brick wall, she shrugs as she glance to the ground "I'm tired of this war honestly, this never ending bad between us and the negaverse. Its just...ugh...I've given up too much of my life. This war has nearly crippled me, and I rarely get to actually enjoy my life." she smacks the wall with a fist.
"I want things to just be simple again, where I didn't have a care. I was in school, enjoying things. I honestly would give anything to be sixteen again, at Crystal. Not twenty, and having to fight, patrol, and on top of this...try to deal with classes at the university." she looks back towards him, really hoping he get it.
"When did life become this huge mess?" she left out anything about her being confused as to where she belong in this war. "I honestly just want to walk away from it all."

"Pfft, yeah, I know that feeling," Chaonis grunted, shaking his head.
Recently it felt like everything he knew, the careful balance of denial and recklessness and irresponsibility, that he had built was crumbling around him. He had to deal with a lot of s**t, moreso than he even realized, though that would come to him in time as well. For now, he was mostly worried about the people he was hurting, and the fact that he was in love with someone that was trapped on the side of chaos.
He spent all his time powered up and fighting s**t. While that was fun, and what he wanted, it was not what it used to be. He cared more now. He was responsible for more now. That was a miserable truth, and he hated to admit it even to himself. He was a senshi, and he was growing up in some way. Becoming a warrior, not a complete goof off.
"Man, I don't know," he said, at her question. He punched the poor parking meter as hard as he could, and sent the thing crashing to the ground.
"But I guess I know I can't walk away, as nice as that sounds. I dunno. I want to, sometimes, because this s**t is really stupid sometimes."

Serpentarius eyes went sightly wide as she watch the parking meter actually bend in half. Turning her eyes towards Chaonis, she just shakes her head "Remind me never to make you mad. I rather not get a punch like that to my face." she teases him in hopes of maybe get both there moods in a better place.
Sadly she knew this wasn't going to work..
She knew all to well how he felt, wanting to walk away but she couldn't. She had to many she wanted to keep safe. Including the one in front of her, even if he could take care of himself.
"I keep thinking I need to just take a break, even for a short time. " she thought about the year she did step away from being a senshi, but she had no choice. Her family needed her at the time.
"And stupid isn't even the word for this honestly. I don't know how to describe this war we are fighting." she actually had plenty of words, just none she could express "I just have a feeling so long as more senshi and negaverse awaken everyday....this will never end." it was just that simple, and she hated the thought.
"So how much was in that parking meter?" she glance towards it, curious "And you plan on sharing?" she teases him again.

Chaonis laughed at that. He was not good at much, but he knew he was one of the strongest physical fighters around. He was a power house, where he lacked for brains and magic. So he always had that going for him, whatever it was worth.
Bending parking meters, for one thing, made him feel much better.
"I'd never hit you that hard, but I think you know that. Anyway, that parking meter was asking for it and I just obliged." But not really, of course. He did not hear anything from the parking meter and it had just been sitting there, minding its own business, when an angry senshi showed up and ruined its night.
The Senshi bent over the broken meter and gathered his ill gotten gains, but they were not much. There must have been a pick up recently.
"A couple bucks. Oh well. Dude, if you think you need a break, take one. It's better than getting burned out and then letting those nega losers take you to their side. You have to promise me that, at least. Even if you do quit, or take a break, or anything like that, you don't swap sides. Got it?"

Serpentarius arches a brow at his last statement before she rolls her eyes. Walking over, she actually nudges him "Yea, like that will ever happen." she smiles at him before she looks down at the coins "Two bucks, that it?" placing her hands on her bare waist, she sighs "That won't even be enough to buy a burger. Maybe a soda..." she gives a small frown as she glances towards the meter.
"I know Chaonis, about you not hurting me. At least not on purpose, your sweet and from what I've seen care about everyone. If anything, I could see you as a brother in battle." she pauses as she smiles to him "I know I can count on you to be there." she turns away before she turns back towards him.
"You know, we should hang out sometime...not in senshi form. Cause if I do plan on taking a break, its gonna be rather boring not seeing you and getting to pick on you." she teases him as she twist the brace on her wrist for a brief moment.

Chaonis watched her and smiled thinly. He wasn't much good at being a brother, though he tried not to worry about things like that. His step sister and the new half sister... he wondered if he could protect them, or if he was just destined to make them suffer his intolerable mood swings and bitterness.
Or if they saw through it. Well, Harmony did. Sarah was a bit too young yet to see through much of anything. She did like it when he picked her up though, and he had the frustrating ability to quiet her when she was crying despite being terminally bad with children.
It made him a good baby sitter.
He grinned at Serpentarius though, nodding his head and offering her the change. He put it in her hand, but used it as an excuse to hold on to her. She was someone he would always protect.
"Sure, we could hang out. I'm not hard to find." He gave her hand a shake, then pulled his back and left the change behind. He powered down and grinned. "Though I can't promise I won't get you into just as much trouble as if you're powering up anyway."

Serpentarius was actually surprised when he held onto her hand. It brought a pink tint to her cheeks only for a moment before she blinks at the man suddenly before her. Her eyes went wide as she wasn't expecting him to power down just like that. Grinning up to him, she place her empty hand over the snake eye at her neck. Closing her own green eyes, she powers down herself before his eyes. Opening her eyes, she brushed off her jean skirt before she chuckles "I guess giving you my name is now the proper thing to do. I'm Melinda, but everyone calls me Mel." she holds her hand back out to him as she stuff the change into her pocket.
She gave him a look over, not denying to herself that he was indeed cute. Only he was still too much like a brother to her, so she wasn't going any further in her thought "So do you have a name, or can I just keep calling you Troublemaker?" she teases as she smiles to him.

"Nathan. But most people know better than to call me that. Nate, is what I go by." He grinned at that. His parents called him Nathan, and anyone really annoyed at him used his full name when they really wanted to yell at him. Which was fine by him, really. It was a good way for him to know just how frustrated someone was with him, as there was a profound difference in the patience of someone calling him Nate and someone calling him Nathan.
But he had always been good at sussing out who was annoyed at him and how much. It was one of his favorite things, actually. Pushing buttons. His real friends generally came from the ones who could put up with that kind of bullshit.
He grinned at her and gave her a nonchalant shrug.
"Troublemaker works for me, too, of course. It's kind of like naming a dog... Dog. Just points out things for what they are." He laughed at that and shook his head. It was a stupid thing to say, but still. "Well, anyway."

"I think I'll call you Nathan then." she teases even though she really wouldn't. She didn't like when people used her full name, so she completely understood Nate not wanting anyone to use his "Its a pleasure to finally meet the guy behind Chaonis. I've always been curious if I would know the person. So its nice when its a new face." she gives a weak chuckle as she glance around for a moment "Maybe we should move away from the broken parking meter. Unless your all for explaining to the cops why were hanging out around it." she nods towards the street.
"My car is about a block away, if your up to it..we can grab a bite? Unless you have classes or something tomorrow?" she turns her green eyes back towards him. She was trying to figure out if he was older or younger then her.

Nate grinned at her, nodding his head. It was only fair, then, that she called him by his full name. After all, he was always causing trouble, and she had a good habit of being there for it, so he couldn't really get mad at her for using his given name. Even if he didn't like it from most other people.
She was one of the exceptions, and could get away with it.
"I think you're right," he said, frowning at the broken parking meter. He grinned a moment later though, laughing as he turned and took off running down the street, toward where she said her car was parked. He waved over his shoulder at her, indicating she should be following him. Mostly because he did not know what her car looked like and also because he was not really trying to ditch her.
"Hey, look at that girl! She broke that parking meter!" he yelled teasingly, though no one was around to hear it. He had no classes, but only because he'd dropped out of school when he was younger, and had never gone back. His dad wanted him to go to college to get his GED or something like that, but what was the point?
He much preferred doing whatever he wanted.
