While Xiu usually liked to meet at say, the maul and take her school-adopted siblings around to shop, eat, or relax, she had recently learned that the ghoul she had decided to pick up for the day was in fact new to the school. As such, it seemed like the best place to start was not at the maul, but at Amityville. Classes, clubs, field trips--the baku had made her to prep herself beforehand in all of these subjects and more despite the fact that she knew most of them like the back of her hand by this point.
It didn't hurt to be extra prepared after all, right?
She had asked to meet at the front gates, and was certain to get there early as to ensure that her "little sister" wouldn't be left waiting for her. Leaning against the wall, the ghoul hummed quietly to herself as she ticked things off on her fingers. Did she remember to...? Yup. What about...mmhm!
Now to just stand and wait. Mm, I wonder what kind of person my "little sister" is? Though I guess I'll be finding out soon!Ariaalina HELLO here is a terrible intro but adfsgdjkhg

Still unsure about where things actually were on campus, Sulmanon managed to get lost on her way to the school gates. After a few wrong turns, and some unhelpful directions from some gnomes, she finally made her way to the front gates. Seeing that there was a ghoul there waiting for her, she wondered if getting lost had made her late, or if the other ghoul had just gotten there early. Not wanting to be rude, or any later than she probably already was, she dashed up to the waiting ghoul. "Hello, are you the "big sister" that was assigned to me?" She asked, not really sure of what the protocol of this type of situation was. Kaiyumi It's probably better than what I could have done. XD

Oh! Was that...?
It was! A friendly smile spread over the ghoul's face as she straightened up to her full--and most unimpressive--height of 5'3". "Yes, that's me!" She chirped, tail swishing behind her, "My name is Xiuying, though please just call me Xiu!"
She held a hand out for the other ghoul to shake, her expression warm. "Even after the day is over with and I'm no longer officially your 'big sister', please feel free to let me know if you have any questions or issues, okay? I know settling into a new school can be a little hard, so..." With a laugh, she trailed off and shook her head. It certainly reminded her of when she was new to Amityville too. Back when she was a timid, skittish little thing...
...Good thing that hadn't lasted for very long.

Returning the ghoul's smile, she reached out and shook her hand. "My name is Sulmanon, but you can try to come up with a nickname for me if you'd like." She had never really had a nickname, other than the one her parents had given her. "As for questions, I don't know where to begin. Maybe I should start with: are there any rules about flying on campus?" She had not flown over or gotten an aerial view to get her bearings because she did not know. Then two more questions popped into her head. "Also, are there any caves around here and is there somewhere I could learn to cook?" Kaiyumi She's trying to be polite, but she's extremely curious, plus those last two are her major interests. XD

"Sulmanon," Xiu echoed, committing the name to memory, "It's nice to meet you! As for a nickname...Sul? Sully?" She wrinkled her nose as she thought, looking towards the other ghoul to gauge her reactions. Well, if none of those fit, she was sure that she would eventually pick up a nickname to go by as the year went on.
Clasping her hands behind her back, the baku hummed thoughtfully at the question. "I've never looked seriously into it since I don't fly myself, but if I'm not mistaken...so long as you do it outside and not inside and of the school buildings, I think flying is a-okay!" She smiled, though the smile soon shifted into a grin at the ghoul's next two questions.
"I don't go exploring outside of campus a lot myself, but I'm sure there could be hidden caves in the forest maybe. As for cooking..." Laughing, she gestured to herself. "I could probably help with that. I'm always cooking and baking!"

Making a sour face, Sulmanon replied, "Sul is what my parents call me, usually when they're trying to make me do something I don't want to." Sul was not a nickname she wanted to be called by here. Too many annoying memories. "If I can fly then I can probably learn the layout if this place easier." Sulmanon said, visibly loosening up. She was at home in the air as on the ground, so she was glad that option was open. When Xiu mentioned that there may be caves in the forest, Sulmanon filed that bit of information away for later, when she knew the layout of the school better. It did not surprise her at all that not everyone shared her enthusiasm for caves. When the ghoul mentioned that she cooked though, Sulmanon excitedly asked "Would you teach me? My parents would not allow me to learn, but now that I'm out from under their claws..." She let the sentence trail off. Kaiyumi Xiu has her full attention. XD

Whoops, then that name was definitely out. Shaking her head, the ghoul lifted a hand to rub the back of her neck, her smile sheepish. "Sorry, I didn't know," She apologized, giving a little bob of her head, "I'll be sure to keep that in mind now that I do know, though!"
She nodded her head in agreement, smiling as she mused how much one could probably take in of the school from the air instead of on ground. Making a note to ask one of her flying friends to give her a ride someday, she turned her full attention back to the ghoul, perking up at her sudden, excited reaction.
"Oh--yes, of course! I'd be happy to!" The baku beamed, clearly pleased to meet yet another person who was interested in learning to cook. "And I know how that is. The parent thing, I mean. There's...plenty that I've learned here at Amityville and from friends that they would never have approved of."
Like how to kick a**. That was a pretty important one.

"No problem, you couldn't have known." Sulmanon commented back relaxing. Her parents were extremely overbearing. Upon hearing that Xiu would teach her, Sulmanon grinned as wide as she could. When would be a good time for you to teach me, since today is already slated for showing me around campus?" She asked excitedly. When the baku continued on about parents, Sulmanon covered her mouth stifling a laugh. She doubted there were many parents as overbearing as hers and she was also planning on learning things they did not approve of. Like cooking, or about species other than dragons. Kaiyumi Sulmanon is openly defying her parents. XD

The fact that she was so excited warmed Xiu's heart. She had given her friends plenty of little cooking and baking lessons throughout her years at Amity, though Sulmanon may honestly have been the first student she met who was that eager to learn. She considered her question for a moment, tapping her chin thoughtfully.
"I'm free...tomorrow, maybe, if you want a formal lesson? Though the tour won't take too long, honestly. Maybe you can give me a hand and join me for lunch or something!" If there was one thing that she loved, it was cooking for people. It was always relaxing to sit down and talk to someone over a meal, and she found that it was always a good opportunity to get to know people too.
"Though, forgive me asking...what are you, exactly? I know a lot of the students on campus tend to have different diets, so I'd need to know what you do and do not eat!"Ariaalina LOL attending Amity is the best time for that @ getting to defy parents :'DD

"Tomorrow sounds great, so I'll meet you for lunch. One question though, where?" Sulmanon agreed happily. On her first day here, she was already breaking one of her parent's restrictions by even talking with a non-dragon. Tomorrow she would break another by learning how to cook. As far as she was concerned, coming to Amityville was the best decision she had ever made. When Sulmanon heard her follow up question, she smiled and said, "I'm a dragon, specifically a Welsh Dragon. As for what I can eat, my parents would prefer if I only eat meat, but I have found that I can eat practically any type of food, in moderation. I can handle veggies, but only in small amounts." She had managed to convince their hired help to sneak her dishes other than meat when she was younger, which was the only reason why she knew this at all. Kaiyumi She's finding that out very quickly, although her rebellion started before she even got here. XD

She tapped her chin thoughtfully, letting out a hum. "I typically do the cooking in my dorm room--I have a kitchen!--but if you aren't comfortable with that," Which was totally okay, since Xiu understood that some would feel a little intimidated going into the room of someone they had just met, "I could...maybe ask for permission to use the Home Eek room or something instead?"
The baku visibly perked in interest at the answer, her eyes growing round. Oooh, a Welsh Dragon! Sulmanon was definitely the first one of those that she had met. "Okay, meat and minimal amounts of veggies! Um...what about things like desserts? Cakes or spookies?"
Being the dessert-lover (and avid baker) that she was, it was no surprise that Xiu had to ask.Ariaalina Ohohoho, welcome to Amityville, Sulmanon >u>

"I'd be fine with going to your room, if I had a clue where that was." Sulmanon had left fairly sheltered life, so she did not really know that she should be intimidated by going to anyone's room. Her parents had not included that in her education. At the mention of desserts, Sulmanon crossed her arms and tried to remember the deserts she'd had in the past. "My parents limited me to sweet meats, but I'd love to taste and learn how to make other desserts." Sulmanon replied. She was always curious, so, at the mention of treats she had never heard of, she was intrigued. She knew her parents had hidden all "non-dragon" stuff from her, but they could have at least let her know about different food types. Kaiyumi She's glad to be here, her parents were too smothering. XD

...Oops, how forgetful of her. Laughing sheepishly, Xiu flicked her tail back and forth. "Right, sorry about that! I live in the demon dorms, room 268. You can drop by at around...11am?" She made a mental note to go shopping that morning to ensure that she had whatever ingredients she needed. Maybe a nice steak and a side of some vegetables...?
Well, she'd figure that out later.
The ghoul's tail wagged a little faster at Sulmanon's response. "You can count on me for that, then! I can make a small sample of different desserts for you to try tomorrow, then!" Honestly, as a side, it would probably be helpful to Xiu to get another person's opinion on her desserts. With graduation soon coming up for her, she was going to have to get her future cafe's menu done as soon as possible.
"Oh! But uh, let's walk as we talk, okay? I'm supposed to be showing you around, after all."Ariaalina I think a lot of students like the freedom :'DD

Making a mental note of the room number, Sulmanon then replied, "11am is fine, but which ones are the demon dorms? I barely managed to find the monster dorms." She knew that it would probably take a couple of days for her to remember where everything was. At the ghoul's comment that she'd prepare samples, the tip Sulmanon's tail happily whipped back and forth. A chance to try not one, but several foods she had not tried? All the better! She was about to comment to this effect when she heard Xiu's remark on walking while talking, so the response to that took precedence. "Okay, where to first?" she asked, motioning for Xiu to take the lead, before following up with, " Oh, and I can't wait to try your dessert samples." Tomorrow should be as interesting as today, Sulmanon thought to herself.

Grinning, Xiu lifted a hand and waved it in a reassuring manner. "Not to worry, I'll show you the dorms too! Though um, I guess a good way of remembering it is..." She trailed off for a moment, brows furrowed as she considered the best way to explain its location,"You know how when you're on the path to the dorms, the monster dorm is the one that is farthest to the left and at the very back? The demon dorms is just on the other side. It's also at the very back, but it's the one that's farthest to the right."
She was obviously sympathetic to the ghoul's confession that she had had a bit of trouble finding her own dorms. After all, Xiu could remember having that exact same struggle. Visiting her friends had been a little difficult because of that, but after three years at Amity, making her way through campus was pretty much an automatic process now.
"Mm, maybe start with the main building? I'll show you the cafeteria, and then maybe I can take you to some of the classes if you have your schedule!" Ariaalina ...Okay so the students don't actually have an OOC class schedule, but we can just kind of...brush over the classroom tour with a general "AND THEN XIU SHOWED HER THE CLASSES" OTL
