Nevada was feeling awfully dirty. Clothes had been discarded for the heat that was taking of the Island. Where the fog had kept it chilly, now it was warm and sticky.
And Showers were out of commission.
It was killing her.
"I think I'll take a walk Stormy." Nevada let her friend know, stepping out of the door into the hallway.
Wouldn't it be surprising if a certain asian appeared at the same time?

Suddenly, there was an Asian.
Dylon walked out his door just as Nevada got out from hers. His headband kept all hair off his warm face, his clothes downed to the least amount of fabric he could get away with; capris pants and a sleeveless basketball jersey. It was too hot for his usual fun attire with all the fixings.
"Hyuuuugh tooo hooooot.." He whined, shutting his door. He then saw Nevada, and a smile brightened his face. "Hiya!"

Suddenly, yes Asian. Nevada was dressed much like Dylon, Only basketball shorts and small tank top, her long hair was tied into a long ponytail, her eye bandage tied tightly around.
Oddly enough, she even had basketball sneakers.
When she had said walk, well....The ball in her hand suggested otherwise.
"Hey there Handsome." She twirled the ball around, actually surprised to see him there. She didn't expect him to be right next door to her. It was also convienent because hey he was cute and she always liked to get to know people more.
"You busy Dylon, Want to shoot some hoops?"

"Do I ever! Who cares if it's hot, right?" It wasn't like not getting any sweatier would make the lack of showers any worse. Eventually everyone would be smelly. Unless they had ways to dry shower. That'd be nice. Dylon allowed Nevada to lead the way, the young man happily following along. "Did you have a good sleep? I met your roommate by the way! She is very sweet."

"We can beat the heat if we distract ourselves!" Nevada joked, bouncing the ball on the floor. She wondered how well she would do with her eye being covered too. Plus it had been awhile since she had played. "I hope you don't mind my competieveness Dylon." She breathed in, "I like to win."
As she headed out the dorms and down the path to the very much not filled town, she laughed and looked back over at him.
"Did you now? Stormy is very very sweet." Her gaze was distant, her smile of that true happiness. "We've only been on the Island together for a short time, but in that short time, she's become my very close and very dear friend. I would do anything for her." She looked over to Dylon, "And here, it feels like that is hard to say. I wasn't planning on letting anyone close since Alaska is awake but....Stormy is different. She's opened me up." She shrugged, "She's the one that made me a bloom into Vanilla swirly ice cream Tree." Inside joke.
"As for sleep my friend well..." She made a small heh sound, "Makeup really helps cover up the dark circles. It's too hot to sleep. How about yourself? Meet anyone else on the Island?"

"That's fine! It's simply no fun if you don't go all out." Dylon grinned, moving to steal the ball from the girl as she bounced it, as if to goad her on. "Well, that's good. It's important to have friends. Close friends." He smiled warmly. "I didn't have many close friends I could trust, but I did have my family. Everyone needs a place where they know they'll feel good and safe." That was something Dylon needed to find again. But one thing at a time. The young man looked sympathetic, patting her on the head. Lack of sleep sucked. The heat sure didn't help. "Ah, well. No, just You, Molly and Stormy."

She bounced the ball with a quick snap, moving it away from his hand with a sly grin. Then proceeded to goad him back by spinning it on her forefinger. "Oh handsome, I promise I will make you work for it." She gave him a heated look..
of competition...
"Close friends are important. I am thankful every day for the few I have." She waited a minute before laughing, "you'll bond to someone fast I think, A nice guy like you?" She laughed. The pat on her head made her flush a little...
And then worry. It meant he saw her like a little sister or something. Wait, she was like barely interested in him. Her heart was on guard. She shouldn't worry about a small pat on the head.
"You need to meet more guys. With how many outnumber us on the Island, I am surprised you haven't." She spotted the court, squeaking with delight before running over to it. It didn't matter to her the rusted hoops with hanging chained netting. She took a testing shot, her body positioned a little further right to make up for her blind eye. Holding her breath, she took a shot.
And watched as the ball sank into the hoop without the whole thing crumbling down. "half court one on one Dylon?"

Dylon smirked. Oh he loved competition. This was going to be good. He gave a shrug then, "Been crazy here. Hard to stop a dude and say Hi when everyone is busy." He replied with a chuckle.
Once at the court, Dylon got his game face on, grinning ear to ear and wiggling his hands at his side. "You got it. Let's play~"

Nevada bounced the ball, steadily letting it bounce from one hand to the other.
"All out Dylon, and if you lose, Don't cry okay? I'll make up for it later." She made a kissy face at him. "How about we play to 20 points, and whoever gets to it first wins?" She smiled at him.
"Are you ready cutie?" She dove in, dribbling the ball straight up into a lay up, the ball sinking in the hoop.
"Two for me Handsome."
Points: 2Quote: /Whispers HOW TO PLAY BASKETBALL. For Dummies.Roll 2d20 The first dice is the distance from the hoop (so 1 is really super close and 20 is the half court line). 1 - 11: You are behind the three point line. If you make the shot +2points to your score. 12 - 20: You are over the three point line, If you make the shot +3 points to your score. The second dice is if the ball made it, Odds are you made it in, Evens mean you missed. First one to 20 points wins the game!

Nevada was a riot. Dylon laughed at her teasing, giving a strong nod to her rules. "I'm ready!" He wanted to use a pet name for her too, but nothing seemed come. Oh well. It was time for a little one on one. Nevada was already off to a good start. Dylon caught the ball and made a shot of his own. However, maybe he was being too much of a hot shot, throwing it from so far back. It sailed over the hoop and bounced off the backboard, right back into the court. "Awww shoot!"Points: 0

"So close Handsome." Nevada caught rebound, turning her body to protect it since Dylon was so lanky. She was watching you Dylon, and those long limbs that would probably reach out over her.
She went to the same spot that he had shot from before, being her hand up, letting the ball fly with a snap of her wrist.
And completely air balled it into the grass.
"Whoops." She laughed, "Shouldn't shoot this far back should I?" She hustled back over to him, and as soon as he got the ball...invaded his space.

Dylon grabbed the ball, but soon he had a small little brunette up in his business. He chuckled and grinned, "Nice try, cutie." He ducked to the side, dribbling the ball until he was up closer to the net and shot for the basket. However, despite his best efforts, it bounced off the rail.

"W...Wait a minute there." She huffed as he broke her guard, moving past her. She hustled back to catch the ball of the rim, dribbling it to the three point line to make a jump shot.
"Damn." She looked down, her feet behind the 3 point line.
"So close." She watched the ball roll from the court to the grass and huffed, slapping her hands on her hips. "I'm....Ready for you again handsome..." She smirked, wiping the sweat off.
"See if you can break me off this time."

"I feel like you've played this game before." Dylon sassed with a smile. He grabbed the ball from the grass, dribbling it on the court without breaking eye contact with Nevada. "Oh I'll sure as heck try." He grinned. He weaved around the girl, twisting his body away so her arms couldn't reach around him. He got up close to the net and leapt, tossing it with one hand into the net. Points: 2

Her face might've turned a bit red at his constant staring, especially since he wasn't the one to break eye contact.
In truth, she did her best to keep that ball from reaching the net, moving with him and her hand reaching out to bat it out of his. He weaved though, going to her blind spot and she turned just in time to see the ball sink in the hoop.
It was going to start heating up from here.
"Oh I've played a couple of times or more." She grinned back, grabbing the ball as it rolled towards her. "It was one of the few sports me and my sister took actively part in together."
She dribbled it towards him, setting up in position but making sure that if he was going to defend, he'd at least brush up against her. She started dribbling, standing on her tiptoes to smooch the air between them. "Just try to get this one."
And she was gone, shooting from the free throw with a whipered swish of the net.
