He had to admit that doing a battle against the Firani all on his own was something that intimidated Tallulah just a little bit. It was likely due to the fact that the first time that he'd faced off with them that he had Eyphah there at his side to help him out. Now though, now he was alone, and he had to face the beasts on his own. It was scary but at the same time he felt that he could do this... he just had to concentrate, prepare himself, and stick to his favored hunting grounds which were along the coast. He knew that dragons were unable to drink the salty sea water but it didn't mean that they couldn't cool off in it. It was just a little less likely that a fire dragon would want to. Sadly that meant that he had to do a lot of prowling around in an attempt to try to find the dragons he wanted to hunt near the coast... but when he finally saw them he was so very delighted.
There were two of them even standing there he thought to himself, sinking lower into the water, watching them closely. If there were two of them it meant that one of two things was going to happen when he went after them. Either they would both try to attack him or one of them was going to bail while Tallulah attacked the other one. There were some dragons that seemed to be more loyal then others, it just depended on the personality of the ones had hand he thought to himself as he started to gather some magical energy to himself. He wanted to prepare himself, to be able to strike without warning, and he wanted to grab one of them with his water magic and hold it tight, not letting it escaped. That was just what the Merkein did too, lauching one of his magical spells forward, a tendril of water, that entangled one of the Firani, causing it to roar with distaste. To say that the beast was pissed off was an understatement but Tallulah could care less as he raced forward, lunging through the water, and snapped his teeth down on its throat, crushing it.
After it started to crumble away he let his spell fade, landing on his feeth before the other dragon, and gave a snarl at it, teeth barred, waiting to see what the creature was going to do... and it seemed to take it a time to decide. The dragon barred its teeth and snarled in return at Tallulah, the two of them facing off for a long moment, but after a time the dragon took to the air and flew off hastily. It would appear as though the creature wasn't looking forward to the idea of facing off with a Peisio Merkein because it was weak against the power that Tallulah wielded. Best that it flee, it would last longer that way it likely realized. He watched the dragon as it flew off into the distance before he shrugged, trotting over to grab up the pretty red orb, and returned to the sea. Time for him to drop this off in his underwater horde, then he would be back to hunting once more. He had no idea where Eyphah was at this point with his hunting and gathering but the Merkein hoped that the orbs he'd collected thus far would allow him to keep up with the Diabi at least somewhat. He knew that he shouldn't make it a competition, not when it was his teacher he was facing off with, but he just couldn't help it. He wanted to be as strong as Eyphah one day after all.
