Lizzy had just returned to school after getting two small tubs of eye scream from the Maul; it was for something later on, but since she had time, she thought that she might as well prepare in advance. Besides, it was nice to not be cooped up in her own room, especially on a day as pleasant as this one.
The sun was shining not too brightly, there was no tear in the sky threatening to destroy all the things... Yup, it was a nice day to be outside.

Hel could only stare down at her hands, which held the entirety of her weapon, in pieces. She had just come from the Bird Park, and while it had been a nice day earlier, it was now no longer one. Hel just didn’t know what to think. She didn’t know what to do. Truthfully, for the first time in her life, she was rendered shell shocked. That’s why she didn’t see where she was going, and bumped into someone, nearly spilling pieces of her weapon from her hands.

"Hi He-" Lizzy didn't manage to finish her greeting before colliding with the reaper; thankfully, it wasn't a hard bump and she managed to stay up. Flustered, she quickly bent over to pick up whatever Hel had dropped, "Oh, um... Here, let me help you with that-"
... Wait, what's that?
It was then she noticed the expression on her face, and realized that something wasn't quite right, "Did something happen?"

Hel let out a gasp as a few pieces of the spear tip toppled over the top of her hands and onto the ground. The ghoul was hasty to kneel and pluck up the pieces. It was then that Lizzy’s concerned voice broke through, and it seemed like Hel snapped out of whatever daze she was in. Her head picked up and she blinked, staring at the demoness. “Lizzy.” She greeted…yet seemed to announce to herself at the same time. “…Ah…” At that question, Hel looked back down at her hands, and she even managed to snort because well…that was a pretty loaded question. She hummed for a moment. “Ooooh ya…something happened alright.”

Lizzy did not like how ominous that sounded. Instead of saying anything more, she watched Hel out of the corner of her eye as she continued to help her piece up the remaining pieces on the ground, and waited for the reaper to elaborate.

Hel didn’t seem like she was about to…but it was the long stretch of silence that followed that Hel realized it meant she needed to.
“Oh…oh ya…uh…” The ghoul gave a wry smile, and gestured down to the pieces of wood and metal in her hands. “This is my weapon. Trick or Treat Raging Tsundere b*****d broke it.”

Lizzy carefully stacked the collected pieces of Hel's-
"Weapon?" Her eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at the pile of wood and metal in her arms; she had always thought that reaper weapons were unbreakable. Or would reform after they are broken, just like them when they dissipate, "But. But... But how? Why? And who is Trick or Treat Raging Tsundere b*****d?"
A new ToTer in town?

“Yeeeep. My weapon.” She nodded her head to Lizzy, grateful for her assistance in picking up her weapon. The reaper rose to her full height. “Haaa…if I knew, I would not be at such a…loss.” Her brows furrowed as she stared down, and then snorted. “Ah…no, it is Rage. Yanno…yells a lot, has all those birds, can be found in the Bird Park…well I was bothering him to talk to me more about trick or treating, and if I wanted his time I needed to hit him, so I summoned my weapon and struck him…and then he just grabbed it and crushed it in his hand…”
Hel’s lips twisted. “Most puzzling. I have never heard of a weapon breaking, and no matter how many times I try to dismiss it…it does nothing.” She lightly jingled the pieces.

"He sounds like troublesome, unpleasant company," Lizzy frowned, pausing as she mulled over the problem at hand; it would not do for a reaper to have a broken weapon, since she was pretty sure they were dependent on it for a lot of things... But she had never heard of a weapon breaking either.
... Wow what did they spend three years in school doing?
"Sounds to me like we need to consult the interweb," She wanted to suggest books and the school library, but it might be faster to do a search on the interweb first. That and she wanted to toss the eye scream into the fridge before they melt too much, "Let me help...?"

Hel laughed at Lizzy’s assessment. “Nah, sounds like my kind of company…” She trailed off for a moment before blinking. “…Consult the web…?” Hel’s brows furrowed, and she seemed skeptical. “…You really think the web will have decent information about something like this?”

"Well... It's worth a try?" Lizzy smiled sheepishly, shrugging lightly, "I mean, we could look it up, and if the suggestions do not sound feasible, we'll just not use them, and go look for books in the library instead." It sounded like a good enough plan to her.
"Or we could try to find a professor to ask?"

Hel stared off. Worth a try…sure. Yeah. Alright.
The reaper nodded her head.
“Okay.” She consented, though she didn’t seem quite so pleased at the prospect of going back into the library. “…I will pass on the library though…Avery will have my head if he catches me in there…” She trailed off for a moment, and wasn’t sure what to think of asking a professor. The only one who might even remotely have an idea would be Malcolm…

"... Are you on the library's blacklist?" Lizzy asked, lowering her voice when she said the word 'blacklist', slightly exasperated as her frown deepened, "Maybe... You could stay outside while I go in and check out the books on reaper weapons?"
Books would be more reliable than the interweb, for sure.

“Black list…?” Hel echoed, because she’d never heard of such a thing before. “I am not certain…but the last time I was in the library, Hayden conned me and a bunch of students into collecting his lost porno magazines…and we collected them, and Hayden took off with a bunch of them, but left enough so that when Avery found us, it looked bad…so he chased us all, and I was not going to be punished for something I did not do, so I high tailed it out of there.”
Hel frowned.
“b*****d.”

"You seem to get yourself mixed up with some pretty unsavory company a lot," Lizzy smiled sheepishly, not sure if she should laugh or cry at the tale, "For now, let's go to my place to check the interweb?"
