After Tallulah's last battle in which the Kiandri seemed to just avoid him completely with them even knowing it he had decided upon a new and different method to his hunting. He knew it was one that he needed to be careful with due to the fact that the electric based dragons posed a threat but at the same time it would be quite interesting... that was for him to sink himself in the ocean and patrol the coastline looking for any sort of activity that told him that there were Kiandri nearby. He felt that if he was in the water that they wouldn't be as likely to see him coming, not to mention that he was able to move so much faster when he was in his natural element. The one thing that he had to be cautious about were the Peisio Dragons, he'd seen a couple of them during his patrols, but other then that he felt that he was taking the right path as far as his hunts were concerned. If only Eyphah could see him now, being so sneaky and planning things out so well! Of course the Diabi didn't really go for such things so would the Drakein be proud of him? It was really hard to say but he hoped so, it showed that he was finding ways to get around his weaknesses as far as his lack of wings went. He couldn't fly, so he would swim, he couldn't blend in well with the golden sands so he would blend in with the ocean water instead. It was all going so well! He couldn't help but to be excited and delighted over how well he was able to cover ground like this. He was almost ready to say that there was nothing that would make him happier... that was until he saw them.

Surfacing in a manner that allowed his eyes to peek over the surface of the water he spotted a trio of Kiandri not all that far away from the edge of the water. It was a wonderful sight, one that made his heart race with excitement, and made him want to go charging out of the water full bore... but he restrained himself. If he went charging out now, throwing himself into a battle against three full grown Kiandri, he would find himself in trouble. As such he had to plan his next move and he felt that the best way to go about this was going to be to try to pick them off. If he took them down one by one instead of in a group as Eyphah would likely do he was far more likely to be able to defeat them. While he wasn't sure if he'd find himself lucky enough to take down all three he was still going to treat the battle as though it was what he meant to do. Sinking back into the water the Merkein started to close the space between himself and the dragons, making sure to keep all of himself under the water, preparing... and then he sent a swirling vortex of water toward the trio, entangling one of them, and with it tangled up he then charged forth from the water. With one of the dragons entangled in his vortex that left only two to deal with, on top of that it distracted all of them pretty completely, allowing the Merkein to get in a good sneak against them. It was an attack that he made sure would be worthwhile, taking down one of the three with blinding speed, before he lunged for the second one.

The vortex could only last so long, he wasn't that great at the skill yet after all, and as such he gave the water a sort of magical 'push' so that the vortex gave the Kiandri a toss before it crumbled apart, causing it to land with a massive splash in the deep water. That left it occupied as well as it flailed around, trying to get back to shore while Tallulah pushed off the ground with all his might, landing heavily on the back of the second Kiandri, and snapped down on the base of it's neck with his large, sharp teeth, severing something vital. The dragon staggered for a moment before collapsing, making it easy enough for Tallulah to finish the creature off. From there he was charging into the water, diving in gracefully, and sped over toward the still flailing Kiandri, dragging it under the water's surface.

A short time later the Merkein was exiting the water again, an orb in his jaws, as he trotted over to where the other two were sitting. He gathered those two together, dropping the third one down with them, then gave a purring sound as he inspected them, "So pretty! I can't wait to show the lot of you off to Eyphah." He said to them in a happy tone of voice, his tail wagging behind him like mad. So wonderful! Three whole orbs that he got to add to his growing collection! If things kept going this well he was going to be a Merkeinian in no time! Gathering up the orbs with his tail fin, wrapping it around them, he trotted back in the direction where he'd been hiding his orbs. He found a good place under the water not too far off the coast, a small cave that was big enough for him to put them inside of. He'd continue to hide them there until it was time to return to Eyphah, then he'd fetch them all so that he could show off all the hard work he'd put in since his solo Eowyn hunts began.
