It had taken some convincing but Tahki had gotten her parents to agree to let her finish up her halloween schooling up at Amityville. Her parents had reluctantly agreed to this. They didn't feel that the schools safety was the best for their only daughter but the gryphoness had made her case. All in a flash demostration she rigged up with her computer. Tahki was quite proud how that project had turned in her favor.

It was about noon when she was dropped off at the front of the school. Huge boxes were carelessly held over the arctic gryphons head. In her humaniod form the gryphon looked quite frail and fragile but the reality was that Tahki was a full blown gryphon and could handle carrying just about anything. The amount of strength the gryphon possessed looked awkward with her frame though. Not that it was anything new to see a monster in human forms strength not match their size.

Strolling through the gates gave the gryphon a bit of an eerie feeling. What all had happened since she'd been forced to move back home and were her friends going to forgive her for up and disappearing? Tahki sure hoped they would. But the anxiety of seeing anyone she knew from her past times gave her a lot to think about. It was at that point that Tahki just decided she'd either hide or try to ignore anyone she knew. There. Problem solved.

Not really though. Tahki knew that wasn't a good solution. It just sounded good in her head.

Now she was in front of her dorm door. Wait... Had she been on auto pilot? She didn't remember getting here... Maybe...

Shakily she reached for her door knob and turned it. A familiar cool breeze greeted her. All her big furniture was still intact and there. The only thing Tahki had bothered to pack was her clothing, games , and huge nest of treasure. Only the essentials after all.

Feeling a bit less tense, Tahki stepped in and set the big pile of crap she had in the middle of the room. Home sweet home again. Her door was still left opened.

Uller had given up hope on seeing the gryphon again. She was his bests friend at one point but she left so suddenly for almost a year. It had depressed him, hurt him, and he had retreated. However, he got the energy up to go off and be himself around some other creeple. Now, he had a boil friend, and a friend in Jack. Sometimes in Lifen and Lan, but rarely. The horseman seemed to stick to their own kind, though he could understand that.

In Tahki's absence, he'd grown a bit. A good seven or eight inches since she'd last seen him. He's eye markings seemed to have disappeared, but he was still littered in white freckles, basically, everywhere on him. Pushing a hand through his long white hair, Uller slumped his way to the dorm. He'd been out running, recently, something he did a lot, so he was sweating, which was making him dizzy. Heat and this ice monster didn't go hand in hand. Not at all. He fanned himself with one hand, his coat in arms.

Somehow he'd completely manage to miss the fact Tahki's door was open. He was so used to just giving it a glance and heading to his dorm, much like he did now. Unlocking his door, he threw his coat on his bed, and then blinked when his mind caught up with what he saw. "Wait." Frowning deeply, the stag moved back out into the hallway, closing his door with a light click, and looked across the hall at the suddenly open door. Was it a new roommate? Was it Tahki? Curiosity got the better of him and crossed the hall and literally hung against he door frame, peering in.

Now his eyes settled on a familiar form. "Tahki!" The sound of his voice was one of joy and shock. Wait. Joy? Since when did he feel joy? Since his best friend got back to school and he hadn't even been aware of it. Without really thinking, the still sweating Uller moved into her room and just gave her a little wide eyed look. "When did you get back? A..Are you staying? Where were you? What happened!?"

Now he was excited and curious.

A voice behind the gryphon had Tahkis head turning. There a vaguely familiar form stood. I use the term vaguely because while familiar it was clear that this student had undergone some changes of teen hood. Tahki's anxiety flashed back up causing her to frown deeply at the not really stranger in her room.

Wait that was the wrong facial expression.

The corner of Tahkis mouth began to twitch upward in to a very unfitting smile. She even included a small wave.

"Erm." She craned her neck a bit. Uller was much taller now.

"You're still Uller... Right?" She attempted some humor.

Right, Tahki was a very anxious and nervous ghoul. His ears flattened as she winced like that and then gave a little laugh, rubbing at his neck. "I am still Uller, yes. Are you still Tahki?" He answered her humor with his own, knowing it was a good way to help her feel more at ease. "Sorry to just walk in here without even knocking but..." he let his voice trail off and he just kind of flushed.

"Anyway, where've you been? The last... I heard from you was Scaretines.." Slowly, he shifted closer, pushing his hands in his pockets. His black eyes darted around her room, seeing the boxes. It seemed like she was back. "You've missed a lot."

The gryphon merely nodded in reply to the question if she was really she. Though there was never any doubt over the fact if this was Uller, she was happy to hear that this really was Uller. A smile betrayed her feelings.

"Oh no its fine. Uh. Sorry that the rooms a mess I haven't had time to really.." Her voice trailed off. The question she didn't know she was dreading happened and she paused. The gryphon looked down to her talons.

"No doubt about the fact you guys have been quite busy." Her voice was small and far away.

"I was taken out of school... I thought it was for vacation but really... really.." Tahki took a seat on her bed and looked to the floor. There was a long moment of silence before she let out a long drawn out sigh.

"Really... My parents think it is more dangerous here than at home. I had a private tutor set up and everything. They wanted to keep me out of harms way...."

She wouldn't have been as vocal or honest about where she'd been to most but the gryphon considered Uller an actual friend. If it had been anyone else who had walked in her room she'd probably throw them out her window. But Uller was her friend. She felt at ease around the deer monster.

He understood she'd just gotten back, therefore there would be a mess. If it had been different, however, Uller would have started cleaning already. He itched to, because mess and clutter wasn't something he did very well. He was still very... OCD about how clean things were supposed to be, but for now, he reigned it in.

"Do not worry about the mess, Tahki, you've only just got back." He pushed his hands in his pockets and watched her sit on the bed as he listened.

Ah, so it had been for her safety that her parents pulled her out of school. It seemed odd, because most parents didn't do that, but.. Regardless, her parents seemed very over protective. "Well, I'm glad to see you back, honestly. There's a lot you missed, a lot I missed. I won't be able to catch you up completely with the school events, but not too much has changed.." He gave her a little smile before his ears drooped a little. "I... Well, one thing has changed, aside from.. my appearance, and.. I.. I've got a boilfriend now." His cheeks were stained purple from his blush, a dark color that was turning darker with each passing second. He ducked his head a little before continuing. "I'm sorry if.. that upset you..."

Uller wasn't to sure of their standing when Tahki left. He'd had a huge crush on her and had wanted to be her boilfriend, but things... changed with the near year she was gone. He really didn't want there to be any awkwardness between them, and that's why he told her now instead of later. "I still consider you my best friend, though. No one's ...ever replaced you."
