Heidi frowned and put her phone in her pocket after sending off that last tweet for Tuck. She did remember they were dating, and she of course remembered that she loved him and he loved her. It was after that that things got hazy. She remembered...him telling her he loved her.

And then she remembered going to the beach the next day.

She didn't remember how or when they started dating...

But the important thing was she remembered him, their relationship, and that he loved her. That was what mattered. But if that was what she forgot..what else was missing? It was concerning.

Should she tell him? What would happen if she didn't tell him? Would he ask? Would he get angry?

She took a deep breath as she approached the dorms, rubbing her face a bit before she put a smile on her face and entered the building. Heidi wasted no time in running straight for room 160, to Tuck's room. She knocked once on the door before just letting herself in, pausing briefly when she noticed there was..more of her stuff in here than last time.

Oh..right. She lived here now. Right. Yes.

The pause was only for a second, the surprise barely noticeable on her face, before Heidi turned to find Tuck with a huge smile on her face. "Tuuuuck~."

Tuck still wasn't sure what was really going on, and when the alarms had started blaring he'd been hanging out in their room trying to find a way to occupy himself.

Twitter hadn't reaaaaally been much help, but at least he knew that Heidi was safe and on his way back to him. When he caught sight of her he beamed and wrapped his arms around her smaller, slighter frame.

"The ******** is goin' on out there?"

When Tuck wrapped his arms around Heidi she made a happy little noise, returning the hug and burying her face against him. It felt like it had been so long since she could be held by him, how could she ever have forgotten him even for a minute? This was why she hadn't felt whole, this was why during all that time she had felt so alone, like someone who should have been by her side wasn't there.

"Something about the crystal caves? I..didn't really catch much. It said for Advanced Hunters to go there, so I went to check out other places instead..there was this...weird..thing. We all like..you didn't go there? There was this, like, I guess..world? And we had to, like, give Excalibur memories so he could fight off Merlin and..it was crazy I don't even.." Heidi kept her face hidden as she frowned again. What had she given him? She couldn't even remember?

Smiling, Heidi lifted her head to look up at Tuck. "I love you." There was no way she would ever give up that memory. She could never forget Tuck. "I missed you. It felt like..days. I don't even know how long..I just...the whole time I felt like something was missing and I couldn't figure out what a-and..I missed you so much." She hugged him tighter, closing her eyes and resting her head against Tuck's shoulder. She didn't feel whole without him, she knew that now. She was willing to give up anything to keep him safe.

"No? I mean, I just.. it was like any other morning."

Tuck pulled back long enough to look down into Heidi's eyes with worry. She looked like she was happy, and she sounded like she was feeling fine, it was just. Really ******** weird to hear someone talk about missing time like Heidi was.

"I love you too, an' I'm right here and you're fine an' I'm fine."

Tuck kissed the top of her head and tightened his arms around her.

Yes, they were fine.

She was fine. He was fine. They were fine. She was in his arms again, he loved her, she loved him.

Heidi stood on tiptoe to lean in and give Tuck a soft kiss against his lips, wriggling in her arms enough to put her arms around his neck. "Yes, I'm fine."

Should she tell him? Would he be angry if she did? He'd be angry if she didn't...and they promised complete honesty..

Heidi frowned.

"Can we..um...can we sit?"
PostPosted: Tue Aug 27, 2013 4:00 pm

Tuck wasn't sure if sitting would be the best idea - part of him wanted to run out to the beaches or check the other island perimeters, but the other part of him (the bigger part) wanted to do whatever Heidi wanted.

So he carried her back to their room and settled upon the bed. It was quieter there, though still dimly lit, and once they were comfortable Tuck kissed her cheekbone and briefly nuzzled her temple.

"What's going on, baby?"

When they were seated she sighed happily at the affection she was given, reaching for Tuck's hands to hold them both as she turned to drape her legs across his lap. She needed as much physical contact with him as she could get. Heidi had missed him so much. "Um..well, it's just.." She looked down at their hands. How to explain this in the least difficult way?

"There was um..Merlin? And he like..was trying to destroy the world...and so that's why we were all like, sleeping and stuff. And then like..Excalibur needed us to help him fight off Merlin, but to do that he needed...memories. I don't know why, just, memories were what he needed." Heidi rubbed her lips together. She had a vague idea of what she was forgetting in the sense that she had a feeling she knew where some of the holes were.

But she only could think of one missing piece of the puzzle.

"So we just...he borrowed them? He said we'd get them back but he didn't say how. I don't know what I'm forgetting aside from, like..I dunno..." Her head ducked as if she was a turtle hiding in her shell. She felt so bad admitting any of this but they had promised honesty with each other time an again. Heidi loved Tuck too much to lie to him. "Regarding us I remember..that I love you, god I love you so much, and..we're dating...we went to Spain..uh...we explored the city, went to dinner, went to the beach.." She frowned. What else? "I don't..remember when or..how we started dating...just that I wanted to for a really, really long time and then the next thing I remember is..that we are..?"

Heidi looked up at Tuck with worry. She felt so bad. So, so, so bad. "I'mreallysorry.."
PostPosted: Tue Aug 27, 2013 4:34 pm

A small part of the confession hurt, and Tuck would be lying if he denied that. The romantic in him liked to think that the love they shared was completely unforgettable - but this had been against her power to stop, and so Tuck couldn't let himself get too incredibly upset.

She seemed to remember the important stuff.

"I asked you out when we went on a picnic. Wasn't nothin' special about that. The important stuff happened in Spain," he grinned wryly and shrugged. "S'where I told you I loved you, an' you told me you loved me. We went to dinner. We, ah," he cleared his throat and lifted his eyebrows.

"We made love, an' then we fell asleep, an' the next morning we went to the beach."

Her brow furrowed with confusion as Tuck explained the memories she was missing. A picnic..? That sounded really sweet. How was there nothing special about asking her to be his girlfriend? She had wanted it for so long. Why couldn't she remember it? Maybe simply being told about it wasn't enough. She squeezed his hands. "Yeah, I remember telling you I love you." Heidi relaxed and smiled. She definitely remembered that.

Her eyes widened when he said they made love. Whoa.

How the heck could she even..

Being told really didn't seem to be the way to bring the memory back.

"I..I see..." She blinked, looking amazed by what Tuck had said. She squeezed his hands again. Maybe if they did it again? What if they recreated the memory? But that was silly, she couldn't ask him to ask her to be his girlfriend again. How would she get those memories back? Excalibur had given his word...

"I really am sorry...I just..when I remembered you I remembered I.." Heidi let go of Tuck's hands to slide her arms around his middle and hide her face against Tuck's chest. She couldn't live without him anymore, she couldn't stand even the thought of it. She would rather give up a memory or two than lose Tuck completely. "I'm so sorry, Tuck. I'll get them back, I promise. He swore we'd get them back. I promise, I promise I'll get them back. I'm so sorry." Heidi was going through everything she could remember, trying to think of everything and anything. Were there any other significant holes she could recall aside from the ones involving Tuck?

What else was she missing? She couldn't remember...

"I think that's all I don't remember regarding you and I, everything else...I don't know yet.." But at least that was all she forgot. Heidi gave Tuck a little smile. "You'll help me get those memories back though, right~? I mean...dude..it's gotta be a blow to a man's ego when his girlfriend doesn't remember the first time you made love to her." Heidi was trying to make a joke, it was just meant to lighten the mood. She felt awful about this.

There was a split second where Tuck couldn't believe what he was hearing. She'd said she'd remembered the night in Spain, but ... she didn't remember what they'd done?

Tuck cleared his throat and lifted a hand to rub against his jaw before reaching back to scratch his neck. Yeah, so he was slow on the uptake, but there was no way he could deny the fact that he was bothered that she couldn't remember that. It'd been so ******** memorable for him, so ********... everything. There wasn't a word he could even think of to describe the way he'd felt that night, the emotions that had coursed through him.

It kind of really hurt, and he knew it wasn't her fault. He knew Heidi would never willingly forget him like that.

Right? She'd given up memories for a reason, not because she didn't want him. She wanted those memories back, which should have made him feel a little better - but he didn't. He couldn't stop thinking about the fact that something that had been so ******** earth-shattering for him had been...

He didn't want to think about it. He couldn't.

"Yeah. Yeah, we'll. We'll get them back."

Tuck gave a short laugh and smiled, but it didn't quite reach his eyes.

Heidi watched him intently, every little movement he made, every twitch in his face, every shift in expression. Her hands trembled slightly when he laughed, squeezing his middle. He was upset. Oh god. Was he angry? No, he didn't seem angry. Oh god. Oh god she'd hurt him. Oh god. No. No, please. No. That wasn't what she wanted to do. Never. No. The very thought of hurting him made her sick.

"I'm so sorry, Tuck," she whimpered. "H-he needed memories and..and I think my logic was give him powerful ones that were strong a-and really..really important so he could fight off Merlin and no one would die...b-but I couldn't forget y-you never, never. I love you s-so much I just I couldn't.." Heidi sniffed and ducked her head to hide her face. Would it have been better if she hadn't told him? Should she have just kept it a secret and then when she got the memory back he would be none the wiser? No, that didn't sit right with her. That wasn't being honest with him.

"Ican'tlivewithoutyou..s-so I j..just.." She was so sorry. She felt terrible. She was the worst girlfriend ever. "I love you, I love you so much. I couldn't bear the thought of not having you and I couldn't not do something." Heidi climbed more fully on his lap and kissed his neck, falling quiet and just curling up against her boyfriend. She was the worst. What had she done? She didn't regret helping, but what she had given up had been a huge mistake. She fell quiet, just clinging to Tuck and praying he would forgive her.

Was he hurt? Yeah. Was he upset? A little.

Seeing Heidi as distraught as she was, though, gave him a little perspective. She had her reasons for doing what she'd done, and while he hadn't experienced the same things she had, Tuck didn't really think she'd done anything in order to hurt him. This was Heidi. She loved him. He loved her.

It didn't sit well with him that she'd forgotten their first time together, and Tuck felt justified in allowing himself to feel upset about it.

"Heeeeey," Tuck wrapped his arms tightly around her small frame, dipping his head so that he could lightly kiss her temple. "I love you. Nothing changes that. Nothing."

Tuck pulled away enough to brush his thumb against the curve of her cheek.

"We'll fix it. So long as you ain't forgotten you're mine, we can fix anything."

When he held her she relaxed, sniffling and nuzzling her face against Tuck until he kissed her temple. He loved her. She knew that, she always loved hearing it. Heidi looked up at Tuck with a little smile, still feeling horrible for hurting him. It hadn't been her intention, she just wanted to protect him. They could fix it. Yes. Excalibur promised they would get their memories back.

"I love you." Heidi raised her arms to wrap them around Tuck's neck. "Even when I had no memories at all, I didn't even know my own name, I was yours. I always felt like..part of me was missing. And every time I would get something done I would look to my side and feel..really sad when no one was there," she explained quietly, her voice quiet. She couldn't forget him not even when she forgot everything else. "Heh..it was kinda funny. I found this like...green orb? And I couldn't stop obsessing about it. Green, green. I need more green things. I didn't know why at the time~."

Heidi grinned up at Tuck. "My eyes are green," she told him in a teasing tone. His favorite color. "And then I didn't feel right with anything but a bow. I couldn't forget Matilda either.."

And there were more memories that involved Tuck, memories that hadn't actually been her own. An 'alternate' Heidi. Should she tell him..?

No. She would keep that much to herself.

"We'll fix it~. He wouldn't say I could have them back without giving me a way to do so, right? Telling them to be didn't seem to be the solution, maybe there's another way." She shrugged. She fell quiet again, looking thoughtful. Heidi was trying really hard to remember anything, even a glimmer of a memory.

No such luck.

"...When things have calmed down can we have another picnic?" Heidi asked as she looked up at Tuck again. Maybe recreating the memories would help. "I wanna go to the redwoods, we haven't been there, right?" Positive. Keep things positive. Her hand moved to trace her fingers along Tuck's jawline, her gaze following the path of her fingers. She could never forget him, even in the dim light of their room she knew where every part of him was. This was her man, her love. "I love you," Heidi whispered reverently, sincerity and love behind each little word. "Even if I gave him all my memories I'd still love you, Tuck. Nothing could make me forget you." Nothing, that was how much she loved him.

"No crying," Tuck warned softly against Heidi's ear, settling her against his chest comfortably. It kind of terrified him, being back on the island where everything felt as it were in some constant sort of turmoil, where things were out of his control, where he could never be really sure that she was safe.

"We'll fix it," Tuck hefted a broad shoulder in a shrug, his hazel eyes keen on Heidi's face. "An' when things calm down, we're gettin' out of here for another vacation. We can go to the redwoods, sure, we can go anywhere you want.Til then, you gotta promise me you gonna be careful."

There was a pleading edge to his voice.

"I love you, too."

She really was the most precious thing in the world to him. He'd never forgive himself if anything happened to her. All those thoughts that he'd had back in Spain came rushing back to him. Tuck leaned down to kiss her forehead, the tip of her nose, her lips, her chin.

"What if I want to?" Heidi protested playfully, giving Tuck a smile. "I won't cry." She almost had, she felt bad enough to just sit here and sob on his lap, but it was impossible to be sad when she was in his arms. This was where she felt safe, loved, cherished.

"I'd like that..maybe we could do, like, an overnight camping trip? That'd be fun."

When Tuck begged her to be careful she held his face in her hands. "I promise I will be careful. I won't hurt you again, I swear it." Never again. She felt awful enough as it was.

When he started kissing all over her face she giggled and closed her eyes, happily accepting each one and returning the affection when she was able. She kissed his cheek, the corner of his lips, his chin, his lips. Heidi kissed any part of him she could reach. She wanted her memories back, she wanted every single thing she had forgotten returned to her. Was there anything else aside from the two memories with him? She was worried. She couldn't remember how much she had given Excalibur. "You're the best~" Heidi crooned, kissing him once more. Eventually Heidi leaned back, keeping her arms secure around Tuck's neck to pull him down with her as she laid back on the bed. "Can we stay here for a little while? It looked like everyone had everything under control. Just a couple minutes?" They would go out, Heidi wouldn't just not do anything, but she wanted just a few minutes of peace with Tuck to recover from the stress before she went back out there. A few minutes wouldn't hurt.
