The captain and his guard just arrived at the base of the massive mountains. He brought with him 67 men on horseback, he was not going to risk it again. He planned on making this the final fight. The captain halted at the front of the group and turned his horse to face them. Holding his sword in one hand. He'd give Frederick ten minutes.

Rowan carefully dismounted the horse. She held her staff in her hand, looking at the group of guards waiting there.

Captain Watson nodded once Frederick arrived and dismounted his horse as well. Some of his men did the same. He planned on making two groups, one on horseback and one on foot, since the horses would have difficulty manuvering on the rocky terrain. Yet they served a quick gettaway. "Now that everyone's here. This is the plan. As you can see we're at the base of the mountain. The only way in or out is by the narrow pass." he said, pointing at a dark, narrow path between two large cliffs. "The terrain beyond the pass is rocky, and extremely dangerous. Ambush is easy, which is why I brought extra men to help. We must all stay as a group, no one is to stray alone. There are beasts that live in the ruins, we can be expecting golems, trolls, ogres and such. Besides that there is a chance the opposing group will be watchig us, so be sharp and vigillant. Our target is their base, which is suppose to be in a cave. Is that clear?" he asked, looking around at everyone.

Rowan nodded. Watson looked at them both, having caught what he said. "Walking straight into a trap? There's no other way about it. Considering we're on a time limit, we can't waste most of our time searching for alternate routes. If they have magic, chances are they'll detect us anyway." he said. "But what you propose wouldn't be a bad idea. A magical signal would be helpful." he said. He looked back to his troops. "Well then if that is all, Advance!" he said as he started heading through the narrow passage with the group of guards following him.

Rowan wondered how he could manage with all that... She nodded, twirling her staff just for shows. "I'm as ready as a ringmaster can be." she said confidently. "I'll follow you. I've got your back."

Rowan hooked the staff to her back and climbed the slope after Frederick, catching up with ease. The higher they ascended, the more ominous the mountain would become. It was charred, and gave the impression that anyone there was always being watched. A creature scurried away, not far from them.

Rowan arrived on the much more stable terrain shortly after Frederick. She glanced down at the distance they had covered. They were very high up... Rowan unhooked her staff and walke over to Frederick to look over the edge. They could see a lot from here. Far, far below the troops just emerged from the narrow passage, and were making their way across the dark lands to the mountain side. Creatures could be seen scurring away from them. A group of ogres just a wall away from them, feasting on a dead bear. "Gross..." she mumbled.

Rowan nodded. "That's a relief." Below, the group was startled by the sudden rocks. And were shortly after assaulted by the remaining ogres. They quickly fended them off thanks to their large numbers, having no losses or injuries. The group was a bit startled bythe encounter but continued. Rowan looked at the caves embedded on the side of the mountains. "I can't believe I was in one of those. I hardly noticed..." she said. She started heading towards the other end of the slope to keep up wih the troops. They then encountered a small group of imps. Rowan raised he staff high over her head. "Quickstep!" she said, magic gathering at the end of her staff. She then pointed it at them and the magic bursted their direction, showering upon them once it was close. "There, that should help them move along quicker." she said. The troops defeated the imps and were inching their way up a mountain side.
