Heading towards the carnival grounds brought mixed emotions to the boy. Sitting in the back seat of a vehicle driven by his family driver, Isha allowed his mind to briefly wander, reminiscing on the last time he ended up at this place. There were some laughs.. Some friends he had recognized.. And yet there was pain there too. Lots of pain; broken ribs, bloodied clothes.. And the bodies..

He couldn't determine if he should be happy that he was going there again, for this time he was heading there to get a lesson to complete his Kalā, his list of arts, or if he should be scared, traumatized by what happened here last. The former won out, however, as the Circus came into view. Even if this place brought back some sort of uneasiness, what could he say! It was MADE for fun, made for entertainment and lightheartedness, and there was no way he was going to go on into such a place with such a dark aura about him. How could one even learn correctly if they were a bad mood.

The car came to a stop infront of what seemed like the main office of the area, and he stepped out, taking a deep breath, and putting on a smile and knocking on the door.

"Hello! It's Isha Chaudhary, and I'm here for my Juggling lesson, May I come in?"

Cooro Cooro

Chester was not sure what he was thinking, accepting this kid's request. He was not in the mood to deal with anyone, he had not been for some time, but he supposed he couldn't hide away in his office/home away from home forever.

The tragedy that had happened was always in the forefront of his mind. He had pledged his endeavors as a knight to finding those involved, in getting revenge, and in stopping the Negaverse by any means necessary.

That was not as easy as it sounded.

He had been nearly killed by two Negaverse soldiers in short succession of one another, and was still recovering from that. He was weakened and slow, but at least he was alive and he had learned his lesson about going to fight too soon after being injured. Now he would wait to heal before trying again.

This little meeting might be a good distraction, and allow him to open a small doorway back into a normal life, outside of powering up. Or maybe he would just fulfill his promise and go back to sitting on his sofa, drinking, and dwelling on his anger.

Upon entering the office, Isha simply offered the man a smile, holding his hand out to shake it.

"You don't know how excited I am to meet you! I've always loved this place, and I'm a big fan of yours! To work with you is an absolute honor!" The man looked non-too happy about anything that was going on right now. He seemed almost in pain.. Maybe this wasn't the best time to be bothering the older man about a lesson in juggling.. But he had agreed to it, so that meant he WANTED it, right? If not, then maybe the man just liked pain, he couldn't say anything about it though, to do so to his teacher would be so very rude.

"I am really grateful that you took time out of your day for me. My mind is open and ready to learn!"

Chester looked at the younger man placidly, nodding his head. He was a generally calm guy, though it made him very difficult to read, at the end of the day, because he reacted the same way to everything, good or bad, which was not great.

For others, anyway. He knew what was in his head, even if he didn't show it outside.

"I'm glad to hear it," he said, warmly enough as he shook the others hand. This was a work related thing, so he had to be a little more emphatic than he normally was, though he was still on the bland side. It wasn't like he was performing in the ring, and this was just a one off thing that he was doing just to be nice, and distract himself from the other things that were worrying him. It would be good, he tried to tell himself.

But he wasn't too excited.

"It's not that difficult to learn how to juggle, I can show you the basics. Everyone starts with a vague idea, even if they don't know they do. It's instinct, to try and keep things from falling to the floor. You'll find that out quickly." he motioned to a box that was sitting nearby, where he kept some of his first toys. Juggling was one of the things he started with.

"we can go outside to practice if you want, or to the big top." A lot was still being rebuilt, but they had made good progress.

"Alrighty then.. I've never seen the big top from the ground before, so.. Uh, if you wouldn't mind that, I would like to learn from there." He took the motion to the box as a signal, and went over to it, scooping it up in his arms.

Isha couldn't help but bite his lip, feeling a bit more nervous about all of this. He could just imagine himself doing some sort of cartoon stunt where he tossed the items up in the air, and instead of catching them, he'd just let them fall right on to his own head. But what real reason did he have to fear this man? None; he didn't seem like someone who was just going to snap out at him for nothing.

"If you would lead on, that would be wonderful."

Chester nodded his head. It was an easy enough request, to go to the big top. He certainly would not mind it, as the Big Top had been fixed up and was one of the more action ready locations around the slowly reconstructing carnival.

He moved to leave the smallish office/second home he had made for himself here, not indicating for the younger man to follow him, but that in itself more than enough indication that he should. He walked slowly enough, at least.

"We'll start with the balls," he said lowly, conversationally despite his head start. He walked them to the large big top. It was beautiful and looked new, if only because it had been recently replaced. Everything was being replaced. He wanted no reminders of that night. All the colors, all the designs, everything was going to be different. He entered the big top and now he waited, holding door for him.

"This really shouldn't take too long, it's not the most difficult skill. You probably already know how to do it, without knowing you do."

Isha followed behind the man in silence, his head turning in every direction to see the area around him. So many colors surrounded him, so unlike the last time he was here. Well, no, that was incorrect. He had, infact, seen so many colors the last time, but it was hard to remember, to place them. He had spend most of his time in the House of Mirrors.

"The balls, huh, okay." Isha would be the first to admit he was a little immature about things, and the word balls probably made him smile a bit more than it should have. He was pretty sure that the man wasn't going to smile too much. Seemed a bit of a shame for a ring leader or the guy in charge of a place that was supposed to be fun.

"I'll try to make this as quick as possible. I doubt you want me around here too long, there must be so much you have planned to do, I'm blessed to even have a fraction of your time." That didn't quite come out as sarcastically as it had in his head. Maybe he was reading into the whole situation wrong, but to him it felt like the man really didn't want to be doing this.

Chester ignored him completely, and certainly wouldn't appreciate judgment calls on his ability to lead the circus. He picked up a few things to juggle as well, looking at Isha and indicating silently that he should follow his lead.

The injured and tired man, physically and emotionally, had not actually juggled in a while, but it was not something he could ever forget. One of the first things he had done as a kid was learn to juggle, and it set him on his path to creating this place.

Though his plans had gotten a little off track, as of late.

He began to juggle, moving through the motions slowly, so Isha could follow his movements. He opted to start with three, as he knew that it was a little more complicated but most people got stuck learning with just two and could never pick up a third. If they started off with the proper motions, it would skip that.

If the man wasn't going to say much more to him, Isha, too, would be. He silently followed his instruction, holding three balls in his hand as well.

With each, smooth movement, Isha came to understand the movements further. The movements were silky, his hands seeming to move as naturally as if juggling was simply second nature. Having watched long enough, the boy attempted to do the same, with little success.

"Gah.." Immediately picking up the balls once more, he attempted to get his arms moving once more, imagining them falling into his hand with the proper timing. And yet.. He could go no more than the first few throws.

"... Do you think you have any tips to offer me? Or should I just keep watching in silence?"

"Don't be afraid of dropping them," Chester said evenly.

He was calm and measured, his expression bland but he was not really doing it on person. He was just very mellow person, to the point of being despondent and seeming disinterested in everything. That did not mean he actually was, just that it seemed that way. There were plenty of things he was passionate about.

"If you start by hesitating, you won't make it very far. You just have to trust your hands."

He explained the technical aspects of the throws, walking him through the pattern.

"Don't be afraid to drop them.. I don't think that's too much of a problem right now.' Grinning, he watched as he missed catching the ball once more, and the fell to the floor with a soft thud. Despite the whole thing being frustrating, and the man's over all silence, he was enjoying himself, trying over and over again to get it right.

One thing that could be noticed was that the boy continued to toss the balls higher than they should go. His elbows seemed to stationary against his sides as well, but he did not notice it.

"Just curious, but what is your favorite part of working here, if you don't mind a little bit of small talk."

Cooro Cooro

Chester watched the younger man blandly. But then, he looked at most things that way, even the things her loved. That was the problem with him, though he didn't see it as such. He had trouble with emotions, with showing them. It made it seem like he cared about very little, but that was generally not the case.

Sure, there were plenty of things he didn't care about, but it wasn't everything. Not by a long shot.

He wanted to see the boy succeed, and he did what he could to help him, to get his posture right and to set his hands a good distance apart. He shook his head, carefully moving his arms, then moving to show him a better form.

"You're close," he said after a moment.

He considered the question, though and nodded his head after a moment. He almost smiled, though it didn't reach his face. His eyes were gentle, warm, as he thought about things. It was an easy, but difficult question all at once.

"I built this place, from the ground up. It wasn't always meant to stay in one place. It was small once, it was beautiful and it was fun. But it never felt complete... I think that's what I like most about all this. That there is this idea that some perfection might be attainable, but I never get there. For various reasons. Some good, some bad. But I never stop. It can be good for you, to have goals you can't reach, but work for anyway."

He sighed, looking tired. That was the most he'd said to anyone in a while, and it always wore him out to be talkative.

Isha stopped, holding the balls in his hands while the man spoke, and his eyes watched the other's light up. It seemed that even if he struggled with it, there was a happiness inside of the man, and maybe someday, it would come out all the way. Probably not for him, of course, but some light in his life was always important.

"A goal I can never reach, uh? " He murmured more to himself than the other man, trying to toss the balls as he was told. He was doing alot better, yes, able to keep the balls in the air for more than just a few tries. Chester's guidance was very apparently effective.

"Yeah.. That does sound amazing.. It's like wanting to catch the biggest fish ever. I may get it one day, but then, I'll just want to get better. And better and better until I capture a fish that fills the entire ocean!"

Cooro Cooro

Chester nodded his head, and there was a moment where he might have smiled if he was any one else, but instead the moment passed and he returned to juggling. To him, it was an easy and almost thoughtless motion, something he had grown used to doing but had almost forgotten about.

"Something like that," he said with another nod, thinking about it. He was not too familiar with fishing, though he was aware enough to know that no one fish would fill up the ocean, but he imagined the theory was the same. After all, it was an impossible goal.

It worked well enough.

"You're doing well now. It's not that difficult, but you've gotten a hang of the basics now, I think. That's good. "

With a final toss, Isha caught the balls in his hands, holding them still, before offering them to Chester. If he had the basics.. Did that mean it was time to go?

"Thank you, I couldn't have done it without your help! Are we going to try something else?" He wasn't going to try to push him to continue with teaching him, but he DID bring an entire box of things.. It would be a shame to just leave; how long had he honestly been here? Maybe half an hour at most?
