"All day today people have been asking me the same question. 'Why Boxer? Why are you going after Talon?' And I gave them all the same answer, to prove a point. Now I want you to pay attention to what I am about to say because some people just don't seem to get it..." Boxer paused and looked off into the distance, he took a swig of his root beer, a drink he was fond of and often seen drinking.
"Talon you said you are going to be a bad guy and people will cheer for you. That struck a nerve with me. Now I said it last week and I'll say it again, you don't just get to be a bad guy. This broken system of self rule we call humanity, that is the decider. Not God, Allah, Zeus or whatever deity you believe in, it has and will always be the rest of humanity. Now you are bound to live by the crowds reactions Talon because say for instance that you punched me in the face." Boxer paused and chuckled a little bit. "Not that I would let you but let's pretend. If you did that, the crowd would cheer you because they perceive me as 'the bad guy.'" Boxer made air quotes as he said bad guy. "But if you did the same to Dion they would boo you. The same action in the same circumstance would yield a different result and why? Because society dictates good and bad. You get cheered, you're good. You get boo'd, you're bad. Simple as that."
Boxer looked decidedly more upset as he continued. "That's where I differ from you Talon. I get boo'd because I am a demon. I am a monster not because I admit to it but because society tells me I am. People like you make me sick Talon. People who have everything they could ever want and don't appreciate it. Greedy people like you Talon." Boxer pointed at the camera then paced around quickly, pulling at his hair a bit and shaking angrily, his voice raising.
"I'll admit I'm jealous that people like you get cheered. People without heart, without skill. People like you just in it for the fame. People in general..." Boxer's heavy breathing could be heard on camera as the demon slowly calmed down. "Maybe I'm just a bit misanthropic but let me drive home the point I'm trying to make. I will break you Talon. You want to be the bad guy but you have no idea how to be bad." Boxer paused between each of the last four words. "I am going to drag you through your darkest nightmares and I promise by the end of this you WILL appreciate every second of your life in a way you never could." Boxer pulled back and stretched out his arms.
"Don't ya see Talon; I'm just trying to help you." Boxer started chuckling, he pulled his hood over his head so only his disturbingly white smile could be seen in the dark shadows that covered his face. "No one can save you Talon and you have no one but yourself to blame. Wake up and smell the napalm man. Friends die, beauty fades, and you will always... Be... Alone..." Without another word Boxer put his hands in his pockets and walked, almost skipping happily away from the man interviewing him.
