The gates of Amityville Academy had never looked so unfamiliar or foreign. Surreal. It felt like the students, it felt like those of Halloween had been living in a harsh reality made of clashing memories so long that this could have just been another task. Another reality temporary. It felt strange walking through the gates, and stranger still at the sight of no professor, not even the school secretary, but just a large sign written in black and neon orange, almost crudely, but very carefully. Welcome Back. That was it, without needing to explain why or how. That was it. They were finally back. This was the reality, unlike the dreams, that they would create, this was the opportunity for new memories.
This was the most fundamental part of the world they had saved, and perhaps because of it, their appreciation of everything could have been a little more.
And well, those that forgot, it wasn't too long of a stretch to remember Amityville itself. It was a school, and they too were returning back home to make new memories. The bell rings, not loudly, just the usual ominous chimes. Students rush back and forth, some acting as if nothing had happened at all.
It is the first day of the rest of their lives.
OOC WELCOME BACK STUDENTS- This marks the transition between the end of the meta and the beginning of school life back in the main guild! Feel free to interact with characters, rp, so on so forth in this thread, before moving on! Congratulations for finishing the meta!

It felt... odd being back. The world was no longer white and blaring. Empty. No. This was amity once more. He had his own body. And everything looked.. pretty much as it should. Looking down, he took in a deep breath. Within a few moments, a pair of daggers had formed from shadowy wisps in his grasp. Their shape similar to the ones he had used in the other realm by the name of Agony's Twins. But these were the real deal. These were his blades.
It felt good to have them again.
He took a moment to look over his daggers, then dismissed them.
Shun's shoulders sagged a bit as he relaxed finally. The fight was over, for now. Those voices he had heard before returning.. it had been a little ominous at best.

Where in the hell was she?
Furrowing her brows together, Shehk looked at her hands, then squinted at the school building that stretched out not too far in the distance ahead. School....
Oh right! It was her first day at Amityville! She had her information right... right....
Patting down her pockets she became perplexed. What was she wearing? Where was her bag? She'd written down everything she'd needed to make note of and put it in her pocket, where was that?
Pulling everything out of her pockets, she found she had a lot more on her than she could remember...and a lot less than she could remember at the same time.
Ultimately, she just squinted at everything she had with her.
What was all this crap?

They were back…and Hel was still riding the high from such an emotional turn of events and actions.
That’s why as soon as she saw a certain grim reaper—
“SHUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN!”
Hel ran at the boil, and threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around him tightly, because damn, it was good to see a familiar face after all that s**t they went through. Also, as odd as it was to say…Hel never felt more relieved to actually see him.

He was feeling unusually pleasant.
It was such an odd sensation that for a moment he hesitated in front of the gates, wondering if something was amiss, if he'd managed to put the wrong foot in front of him yet again. The Amityville Gates were, after all, heavy and wrought iron and imposing.
But still - it was the place he had wanted to be for a great deal of time now, and he needed to remember that he had made it this far - he was here.
He took a breath and then a few steps, his eyes full of wonder as he gazed up at the school in front of him. Another student stood a few steps away, looking as though she were trying to figure things out as well, and he stepped towards her, reaching out to touch her shoulder.
"Good afternoon," he said pleasantly. "Are you new here?"

They...were back...?
...Really? Really and truly? The baku almost collapsed in both relief and sheer exhaustion, but she forced herself forward, taking in the sight of the familiar Amityville gates with a small smile. Home. After such a harrowing adventure, they were finally all back to where they belonged. Now the baku's only question was whether all of her friends were safe.
...Well, two of them definitely were. Upon spotting Shun and Hel, the ghoul let out a bright laugh, lifting a hand to wave at them enthusiastically. "Hi, you two! Good to be back, huh?"

Amrita looked up at the gates to Amityville, impassive at first. Soon her lips were pressing together and she was frowning, looking down at her hands. Her tan, stitched together hands that were both familiar and foreign, welcome and unwanted. She flexed them and turned them over a couple times as if making sure what she was seeing was, in fact, reality. Her gaze then shifted, catching sight of backward feet, her fingers touched the exposed skull on the side of her face, and finally there was a brush against her chest, feeling a little lock embedded in her undead flesh.
She missed her claws already.
"This place again." She sighed heavily, slouching for only a moment before her posture straightened again, her hands resting on her hips and her weight shifting to one leg. Well, no matter. She remembered this place enough to make it work and, perhaps, she would be lucky enough to be free of this illusion and return home.
"Shehk." She greeted, however shortly, to the confused looking female. Then, as the male joined them, he was given a long, thoughtful look. Ah, yes, her once-opponent in this world. "Sparrow." Another greeting, another small nod of her head. "What's wrong?" It wasn't an overly warm question; it was clear she didn't care to the extent the fragment Amrita would have, but she was curious; nobody looked at their pocket debris with such confusion for no reason.

It was a good thing he had dismissed his daggers. Shun might have stabbed Hel just now. He went rigid as she flung herself at him, clinging to him really. Twitching and gritting his teeth, he slowly stared down at the valkyrie.
"Good to see you too, now let go of me," he managed to get out.

A figure is just lounging at the gates, but it seems other students, the ones that didn't return can't see him. He is quite tall and gaunt, one hand holding a long wooden staff glowing a light violet at the end.
Instead of walking through the gates however, he simply waits outside patiently.

“I AM JUST SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU!” Hel cried, and then planted a sloppy kiss on the grim’s cheek. Luckily, she let go of him then, and bolted away, because she caught sight of Xiu, another thing to be happy about! “XIUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!” Hel bowled right into the baku, wrapped her arms around her, and spun her wildly, until she caught sight of someone with an oddly familiar looking weapon at the gate. The reaper stilled, her arms still tightly wrapped about Xiu. "...Who is that?"

She looked up as a hand was placed on her shoulder and smiled awkwardly, shoving things back into her pocket haphazardly and standing up a bit taller (not difficult on heels that high, yeesh). "I certainly am! First day. How about you?" she asked the boil, before offering him her hand. "I'm Shehk, by the way."
Then a ghoul pipped up in greeting - or rather all she said was her name and Shehk looked to her, the most bewildered look on her face. "Oh..uh..hi..." she replied to Amrita with absolutely no familiarity before shrugging lightly. "Just misplaced some stuff somehow. I swear I had it and now it's gone and I'm never going to find my dorm now...."
A deep sigh followed.

It was a few minutes that the guy went ignored by quite a few students that were laughing and enjoying their free day off. The student council president, being that this was probably in his job description (he didn't know for sure, the manual was easily the size of a small horse) took it upon himself to open the gate. Just a little bit. "Hello?" And then his eyes fell on the staff.

Shun also noticed Xiu just now. He nods to her, then grimaces as Hel kissed him. "Dammit Hel!" he hissed sharply as he pulled away quickly. With a somewhat indignant huff, he shook his head, only pausing as he saw the figure just outside of the gates. He furrowed his brow , then slowly approached the figure to try and get a better look. "I'm not sure.." he murmured to the other reaper.

Behind the dracolich was one Mortimer McNeal. And while he did not remember his campaign at Fright Night, he did know he had a duty to stick close to the president. So he did.
And he loomed to the left of Aymet. And stared the figure with a mixture of curiosity and wariness.
Thor twitched at his side.
"Guest?" he asked politely, though the zomboil's brows were furrowed.

"A pleasure, Shehk," he said, and took her offered hand, giving it not a shake, but instead leaning down and giving the back of it a quick and simple kiss, straightening afterwards with a smile on his face.
"Sparrow. My name is Sparrow."
He turned to the side and gave a little wave to the ghoul stepping towards them, though his head tilted curiously at her greeting. "Oh, so you know my name already, then!" he said with pleasure, and his smile grew a little wider.
"I don't know yours, though, I'm afraid," he added, with a slightly sheepish look and a glance back a Shehk. His eyes fell for a moment on the figure that stood near the gates, gaze flickering slightly.
"Today's my first day, after all."
