Such a perfect and peaceful day. It had been a warm past few and as such the ground outside was delightfully warm to the touch. Warm enough for a good nap, a nap one kitsune was taking. About an hour ago Tavi had wandered out on campus looking to show Rosy the flyers for the minipets club he had made, but thanks to the sweet lulling sunshine and warm ground he ended up failing on his mission.
Currently he was curled on his side with his tails wrapped around his body, sleeping soundly under one of the trees around campus. Occasionally said tails would twitch along with his legs but if one listened closely it was easy to tell he was gone. The soft snoring gave it all away, that and the small puddle of drool that was forming by his mouth. Even though he wasn't passing them out from time to time a flyer would slip from under his arm and float away on a breeze.
SkieBorne Sorrry! I'm weak at openings lol

Dekana was prowling the grounds after skipping class again and it was warm, enough that it made him feel lethargic and bored. The swimming club was in the final stages of being planned but his lack of inspiration was a source of frustration - nothing he planned seemed quite right. So, when he spotted the lone sleeping kitsune, his attention immediately focused on the unfortunate soul. It would be so entirely delicious if he took out that frustration on the fox - a prank, perhaps? Creeping up, Dekana peered at the boy and eyed him thoughtfully. The shade from the tree and the sweet, warm breeze were perfect for napping. A quick glance up and he grinned. Oh that would be perfect! Dekana disappeared for a few minutes and when he returned with a few lengths of rope, a positively devilish grin was plastered on his face. Gingerly, he tied loops around each of the fox's feet and then one around his hand, doling out the rope and attaching the opposite ends to a weight system - he was making use of a conveniently placed dead log to set a leg trap. One deliberate move and the counter weight would be broken and it would pull the boy up into the branches to hang upsidedown. Dekana was pleased with the plan. He stepped up beside the sleeping boy and stomped and clapped and whooped at the same time to startle him to wakefulness and hopefully to a world turned upsidedown. Cheekiebirdiee No worries! I'm not that great at them either~

Given how heavy of a sleeper he was it was no surprise he slept through the whole ordeal. Only moving his legs a little, as unknown to him Dekana moved the rope around them. His snoring got a little louder with the jostling but died back down just as soon as the rope stopped moving and the hands were no longer on him to arrange them.
Tavi's furry little ears twitched once then twice as he slept, his once dreamless sleep taking a turn for a nightmare as the racket started up. Startled awake by the vision of humans and the noises he jumped, or at least attempted to. Only his leap was more of a flop like a netted fish and then...
SWOOOSH!
He was up in the air, head spinning on a cry of surprise. Feeling near vomit as he hung upside down and twirled Tavi gave another cry, "ahhh what the jack!" Whimpering he tried to steady himself only to see his hands and feet were bound. What was going on! Tavi tried to growl but only managed to giggle, given the branches he was held up in started to tickle at his legs as he spun from the previous trashing. Still a little disoriented he looked all around for any sign of what or who might of did this to him.

Dekana stood, hands on hips in triumph as the fox swung side to side, obviously entirely pleased with himself. The grin alone would have given away his deeds if his posture didn't say it already. He stood back a bit, leaning so that he could look up at the startled boy, "Gotta watch those trees, friend, they'll bite you." It was amazing he'd managed all of that without awakening his target. He suspected the knowledge would prove useful for later. "That flop was worth 10 points, has to be! Fantastic form!" Dekana applauded, chuckling. "Bravo!"

He kind of felt like this didn't make sense, who would do this? Tavi was literally hung up in suspense until a voice sounded and startled him to swing around and stare at the other boil. His head tilted to the side, or as much as it could being upside down, as he eyed the figure. This guy was not familiar, and and ! What a jerk, he was laughing, this had been clearly on purpose!
Tavi puffed his cheeks out in a pout as the blood rushed to his head, making his face a brilliant red. He attempted to growl but again it was pushed into more of a giggle as the branches scratched at the back of his legs. "Bloody Mary!" He managed to hiss out before squeaking as the front of his shirt pooled around his armpits, luckily caught to keep from covering his face.
Spinning awkwardly with his hands up he glared at the other boy with each pass. After the second pass he managed to get his hands down enough to pull his cheeks out and poke his tongue through the opening, making a face at the other boil he grouches, after a raspberry, "blaaaaaaaaaa. Hahahah. Lemme dooown!" He was seriously getting woozy up here, even if it was kind of funny. A small smile was cracking into the pouted frown as he waited.

Dekana continued to grin, even outright laughed as the shirt fell, and shrugged a bit as he tried to decide whether to let the other down or let him figure it out himself. A few moments passed before Dekana finally decided to let the other boil down - by cutting the counterbalance that kept him hanging. "On three! One.... THREE!" When Tavi had crashed to the ground, Dekana walked over and offered a hand, still grinning. "You should be careful when there's tricksters about. Found you hanging around! Good one. I'm Dekana... you are?"

That laugh! That laugh was getting annoying, hmph, it wasn't that funny he thought with a mild bitter taste in his mouth even though he was smiling. "Wai-!" Tavi didn't have much time to plead before his body came crashing to the ground with a harsh thump. Ears flicking to the back of his head the kitsune looked up, puffing some dirt from his face as he gave the other a look.
Sore he was going to be so sore.
Of course even with the warning Tavi didn't think to heed it, at least not at the moment. Shifting as best he could he reached up for the hand with his own tied set and smiled widely, this guy had saved him after all, even if he was kind of a butt for laughing. "Yeah? O-oh well thanks then I guess haha..." Embarrassed he turned a little red then admitted since Dekana wasn't the one that had done this to him, "I guess it was kind of funny...Anyways! I'm Tavi!" Greeting offered his ears perked back up, eyes finally free to take in the other from a better point of view.
Was he new? He had never seen him before that was for sure, but given how new he was himself that wasn't saying a lot. Tavi gave a curious head tilt to the boil, inspection of his body done, then outright asked considering his curiosity was only mounting, "hey hey Dekana what are you? Yanno besides a jacking lifesaver.."

Oh he really thought Dekana was innocent? The feline monster grinned cheekily and shrugged, "Quite the set up to get caught in." Then Tavi took a minute to look him up and down and the boil shuffled, a bit uncomfortable at the sizing up, then blinked. "What?" Dekana's ears flicked forward in attention and he stood up straighter, proud of his heritage, "I am Mishibizhiw, of the lords that dwell in shadow and water. Some call us Underwater Panthers. Can't you tell?" He rather thought it was obvious, and the flick of his tail indicated as much. "What about you?"

Of course he thought Dekana was innocent, the other boil had gave him no reason to think otherwise so far. As the other boil smiled Tavi did too, though he wasn't sure what they were grinning about. "I guess so.." He grumped now on his feet and trying to get the rope from around his hands and feet. Freeing himself he gives Dekana a shrug and blushes slightly for a moment repeating the name curiously, "Mishibizhiw."
Scratching over a cheek he leaned back and gave another shrug answering lowly with a pout, "it just I haven't seen many monsters ok! Hmhp anyways.. I just thought you look kind cool..but " Trailing off he looked back to the tree and the trap he had been rigged to. It was a little embarrassing to admit that he hadn't been away from home before, a truth that meant nearly all of the monsters here at the academy were foreign to him.
Flicking his own tails little sparks of lightning crackled before dying down, beaming proudly at the display he flicked his fuzzy ears up and leaned towards Dekana on a grin. "Imma Kitsune! " He announced proudly with a shove of his thumb into his chest, "and I know lots of better tricks than this! Wanna see?" Ok so the last part might have been exaggeration but he did know lots of tricks and Dekana seemed to be impressed with them.

Dekana blinked at the defensive response - he didn't really care if the other had seen other monster yet or not. His species wasn't particularly numerous at Amityville after all. As far as he knew he was the only one. "Look cool...?" Dekana smiled broadly at that, running a hand through his hair. That was a nice compliment... unexpected. "A Kitsune hm?" Dekana walked around the other, surveying him as he spoke then poked the fluff of a tail, "I thought they had nine tails? And I"ll see, sure. Your kind is supposed to be good at tricks I hear."

"Mhm!" Tavi chuckled happily thinking nothing of the compliment since it was honestly how he felt on the matter. As Dekana rounded him, he puffed his chest out and wiggled onto his tippy toes trying to look all of the pride he felt in being a kitsune. When his tail was poked he sneezed oddly enough then flicked the appendage out on a frown. Nine tails, nine tails! He pouted to himself, knowing that he would have nine tails all to soon.
"Well yeah but, but! Ok look here I'll show you something, " turning the conversation back to his tail, Tavi moves a hand around to undo the silver bracelet that bound his two. As the bracelet comes off, the large poof that appeared to be one tail flicked out into two separate tails. Grinning he spins the bracelet on his hand then lets it slide down to rest there, showing off. "See, I really have two tails! Just..." He sighed and trailed off not wanting to get into the whole, you only gain more tails with more power thing.
Shaking his head he moves on pointing towards the school, " tooooooo the tricks!" Rubbing his hands together and tails, a few sparks of lighting formed. A ball of energy he rushed ahead towards the school then peered over his shoulder behind him, "come on Dekana! There's always someone to pull pranks on in the creepateria!" It was where he had done some of his best pranks this year in fact! Though he was excited Tavi couldn't help but be a little nervous, given this was the first time he had ever pranked with someone, or rather been watched by someone. Feeling the need to keep himself calm he asked as he led the other boil towards the creepateria, "umm..what kind of tricks do you like best Dekana?"

Dekana nodded approvingly as the other removed the bangle holding the two tails together. Tavi was, well, ridiculously full of energy! The boil was off and bounding back towards the school before he even finished the sentence, too focused on tricks to really tell Dekana much about Kitsune. Setting one hand on his hip, the boil followed Tavi, amused that his trick had turned into a sort of adventure. Good things did come of bad deeds! When he caught up, another question was waiting for him. To this his hmm'd and haw'd for a moment or two before grinning, "The sort that spring surprises on people. And riddles to confound and lead on goose chases. And," he shrugged, inclining his head towards the direction of the lake, "Anything involving water is always a plus. What do you prefer to do?"

Grinning back to Dekana he poked his tongue out and called, "come on come on your moving too slow !" Though even though he teased about the others pace he slowed so that Dekana could catch up and walk at his side. "Water tricks? ..Hnnn..I'd want to try those but...well I can't swim very good. Probably not nearly as good as you huh?" Tavi beamed up to the other, sure he was a great swimmer cause didn't he just say he was from some deep waters or something? Strolling along he heads into the building with the other boil and shrugs as he speaks, "I like surprising people too...Umm..and..." He trailed off still thinking as he pulled the creepateria doors open.
As he paused to find a victim part of him recalled their previous conversation and started to raise a flag, a suspicious one considering what had just happened to him. Tavi eye'd Dekana for a moment before grinning widely and pointing out a really furry werewolf ghoul. "Her!" He whispered to the other than started to rub his tails together, building a static up with his lightning. "Watch this..." Giggling he started to shuffle towards the girl, keeping the static going as he faked a fall to get her to help him up. Putting on a baby face and giving a few whimpers was all it took before the werewolf ghoul bent to help him and in an instant of touching him turned into one big puff-ball of frizzed out fur.
At the sight nearly all of the creepateria was in a roar of laughter, Tavi was scrambling back towards Dekana and away from one very unhappy ghoul, giggling all the while. Grinning up to the other he waited with a look that expected praise.
