Mei had been passed out on her bed, taking a short nap before going on patrol, when the beeping alert sound on her phone went off indicating she received a text message. A part of her wanted to ignore it and wait till her alarm went off to check who sent her a message and what was up, however now that she was a wake there was no falling back asleep.

Rolling over, Mei lazily grabbed the phone off her nightstand and with a few short swipes with her finger over the touch screen she opened her messages. 'Sailor Avior?' She sat up in bed and rubbed the sleep from her eyes unsure that she read the text right. 'Training hmm... it would be nice to spend the evening with someone rather than patrolling on my own. Spending most nights patrolling alone was not exactly as glamorous as it may seem. Yes it's quiet and no you don't have to worry about a partner being in danger, however her luck as of late has been anything but spectacular. After the training session Pharos dragged her to, seeing that there are others sailor scouts and knights who both fight on the same side, Mei was left with a bit of a longing feeling. She still had so many questions floating around in her mind but in all honesty, didn't know who to ask except Kallichore.

With dexterous fingers she quickly responded [Sure! I'll be there in 15 minutes.] No more than a few moments after hitting send, Mei was already out the window in her evening ritual, the grand escape from home. Once in a safe area away from prying eyes she powered up and took off in the direction of the coordinates Avior had sent her.

Times like this it's a good thing that Mei spent a significant amount of time running, not only in the morning but also in the evening after she had powered up into Sailor Sidouer otherwise she wasn't entirely sure she would have made it to the coordinates in an acceptable amount of time. Once she reached the vicinity she slowed her sprint to a jog then to a walk to bring her heart rate back down a bit and even her breathing. ' In... out... in... out... in... out' "Whew that was exhilarating"

Sidouer weaved her way through the labyrinth of trees, bushes and rocks till she arrived at the coordinates where Sailor Avior had been waiting for her "Hi" she said when he came into view.

Sidouer stopped a few feet away from Avior to stretch her legs out so they didn't cramp up. "I'm doing pretty good for the most part, aside from two potentially bad encounters and a few youma here and there. But I'm alive!" She looked him with a lopsided smile and shrugged. "I actually don't live too incredibly far from here, that and I roof hopped part of the way when I got to the busier streets to avoid pedestrians that are out late."

It wasn't till he mentioned water that she realized just how dry her throat was "Water would be fantastic thank you!" She graciously accepted a water bottle and downed about half of it in one go. Sidouer almost choked on the water when he mentioned feeling dazzled by her attack, she coughed a few times expelling the water from her airways. "I'm so sorry, I tried to fight without having to use it. But no, my power isn't light pre-say it's just a result of my attack. My actual power is a bit more unpleasant than that." Unable to look him in the eyes she shifted her gaze to the dark part of the woods. "It's static, if at all possible I'd perfer not to use it if that's ok? I don't want to accidentally hit you with it." She looked back at him with a lopsided smile, her attack was one where unless forced to, she would really rather not use it especially against a friend or an ally.

"I honestly don't mind helping you with your abilities, to find some good strategies or scenarios where it would be most effective. Or.. maybe we could set up an obstacle course through the woods? Every few days there is a place in the woods like to go running mainly because it offers a variety of situations between uprooted trees and bushes, fallen limbs, divots, unstable rough ground, and if it rains it just presents more of a challenge. It helps train your mind to adapt to some spur of the moment situations such as if you're about to fall, or trip, or slide into something. It can help with reaction time, agility and the ability to dodge branches. Just something to think about as an option aside from power sparing." Either would be fine by her she didn't really mind which one he chose, the fact she didn't have to spend the evening alone on patrol made her happy enough.

"I wouldn't say I'm stronger, honestly I just found out I was a senshi a few weeks ago." Sidouer took a few steps towards the cooler, and lifted the lid so she could put her water bottled back inside. "I'm not entirely sure who gets what powers or why, but I'd like to think it's to help us grow in a way that makes each of us more complete. For me personally, I have a desire to protect not only those I care about but people who are ultimately unable to protect themselves in this war. However I'm not physically strong, I'm fast... or at least I think I am with all this running I do. But that's why I think I was given this ability, I lack in the physical sense which is compensated by my power. I'm sure it's the same thing for you." She looked up at him with a smile all the while searching his face for some indication that he might agree with her, or at the very least didn't think she was crazy.

Looking up to the sky she mentally noted the apparent lack of clouds and the full moon. If there was a night to go running through unfamiliar woods, tonight would be that night. Without flashlights this looks like it would be the brightest evening they would see. "What do you think about a game of tag?" She suggested " We can walk through the woods and set up some sort of a perimeter using landmarks, anything past them would be out of bounds." It has been years since she played tag, it almost seemed like a childish suggestion. But in all honesty it was a great way to train. "Then afterwards you can teach me some Capoeria. I've honestly never heard of that kind of dance before. But it sounds like it could be a good way to wind down a bit."

Sidouer didn't exactly consider herself a kid, a minor yes but not a kid. You learn to grow up quickly when your raised by a brother, who is only two years older, for a good portion of your life while one parent works more than 30 hours a week and the other parent is deployed over seas. Her eyebrows furrowed a bit when he mentioned 'super status', yet instead of asking him what he meant she made a mental note to ask him later. "I'm 17, turning 18 this October. It's okay to want to relax and run away. You've been a part of this longer than I have and no doubt know more about what's going on than I do. I'd be lying if I said I didn't consider running away, to forget I was tasked with protecting people." She stretched her arms above her head. Up till now her luck with the other faction has been less than stellar and she has the bruises and scrapes to prove it though most of them have healed by now. "But I can't turn away, not now. That leaves me with the only other option out there, learn what I can and fight."

With a sincere smile on her face, Sidouer closed the distance between her and Avior. In a reassuring gesture she placed a hand on his shoulder "If you find yourself in need of a friend, call me." If there was one thing she learned from the training session it was that it was that there is strength in numbers and that you can't do this alone.

She listened intently and looked in the direction of each landmark and he listed them visualizing their location. "Sounds simple enough" she nodded her head approvingly. "and afterwards some Capoeira lessons." She flashed him a mischievous smile and with a twinkle in her eye patted him gently on the head. "But for now, you're it!" she blurted out before jetting off into the woods toward the general direction of the fallen tree he spoke of.

"Hey!" Sidouer stopped abruptly when she felt a tap on her head and jumped in the air in a feeble attempt to grab a hold of his hand before he took off but was just a hair too late. The moment her feet touched back down on the ground she was off again in hot pursuit.

She had to hand it to him, he was quick but then again he's probably familiar with this area. Not willing to slow down, Sidouer leaped effortlessly over a thin fallen tree as if it was no more than a high school hurdle on a track course.

Up ahead through the gapes between the trees, Sidouer saw a shimmer of light reflecting off an expanse of water. The lake! One of the landmarks that was listed as out of bounds. What she found perplexing was that he stopped at the edge. 'What are you thinking Avior she wondered with a look of suspicion.

Trap?
Maybe.

Did she care?
Nope

Sidouer jumped atop a low hanging branch and, using it like a spring board, propelled herself forward to break through the tree line. She held her gloved arms up in front of her face to prevent scraping her face by any smaller twigs. She really didn't want to have to explain why she had scratches all over her face 'a cat did it' would only fly so many times. "Watch your step!" she yelled as warning, half expecting him to leap out of the way.

'Oh crap'With how fast he ran through the woods she honestly thought he would have dodged her quite easily. So when her body made contact with his and the two of them went tumbling backwards into the water, to say she was surprised would be a vast understatement. The spray of cold water shocked her senses, prompting her to get off Sailor Avior ASAP and help him up. "I'm *cough cough* I'm so sorry *cough*" Talking proved to be quite difficult as her body tried to expel any water that had gotten into her airway.

Having finished her coughing fit she looked over at him, then back at herself, then back again at him. Sidouer struggled to keep quiet, but the longer she looked at him the harder it was to contain the laughter that was building up inside her. The two of them looked ridiculous, like waterlogged rag dolls with messy wet hair that clung to their face.What started out as a goofy grin soon erupted in a full blown laughing fit "I'm sorry, I know I shouldn't be laughing" the tensing of her stomach muscles made her bruises hurt so much but she honestly couldn't help it. "Are you ok?" she asked having finally taken a breath.
