EXP: Loss: 60/2=30 /2 again for the group 2 thing. We gain 15 exp. (Wow, really? I thought it'd be more....)
After they flee this dragon, they should run into a second one! And maybe get better rolls.

Kadryn was back on Eowyn to complete one of her tasks. This time she was heading to an area she had never gone to: the Terra Expanse. The tall mountain range could always be seen in the distance where ever you were on Eowyn, she had just never gone there. Two days ago she and Kirosh had landed and decided to travel along the coast to t he mountains. This way they could avoid the worst of the heat since he had Aiskalan Hastars with him. The desert could and often did, kill creatures not from Eowyn. Since Kadryn hadn't really stayed along the coastlines she stayed with them, flying ahead and into the desert sometimes to go hunting when she got tired of fish or was bored and wanted to see if she could face a Kiandri or Firani to pass the time.
That was what she was doing today. They had finally reached the base of the Terra Expanse. Since they had decided to stay a day and rest before heading into the mountains, Kirosh stayed at camp to give his mounts a check up to make sure they were alright and Kadryn went up int the foot hills to explore. She was enjoying the cooler air and flowers that were blooming. The coast had been less hot and dry, but still just as sandy as the desert so she hadn't seen much plant life in the past few weeks, so the small flowers that were here were something to be enjoyed.
That and she had heard of Kugels who lived on Eowyn and wanted to see one. She'd seen some tame ones, but wanted to see a wild one! Apparently they were bigger. She'd heard all sorts of rumors about creatures who lived in the Expanse and hadn't seen any of them before. One more thing for her to do today! She thought with a smile. Lets see if I can find any creature that I haven't seen before!

 Rosetta decided to take a trip to Eowyn, to gather more knowledge of the plant life that thrived there. As an apprentice, she wanted to be well prepared when she acquired the dragon souls necessary to become an adept. The first time she had met her race leader, when she got her wand, she was awed at the omniscient grace that permeated her being. She instantly became one of Rosetta's idols, and strove to be like her when she reached that high level of expertise. So, the little red-headed Orderite set off to the land of Eowyn to learn her stuff.
Rosetta got more and more tired as she flew over the wide, flat desert. Her white wings were getting tired, but luckily she still had a skin of water that was full. She needed a place to fill the other two back up. Rosetta scanned the wide, barren land for some place that might have water. Her amber eyes fell upon a tall mountain covered in lush, green plants and trees. She quickly changed her course and came upon the foothills of the large mountain where there was shade to cut through the blistering heat of the desert.
The little Orderite wandered deeper into the vegetation, stopping periodically to identify different flowers, trees, shrubs, and vines with a thick, leather-bound book she carried in her knapsack. Eventually she came across a crystal-clear pool of water, where she took out one of the water skins to fill up. Suddenly, the earth shook around her, large pieces of earth dislodging from the mountainside. Rosetta frantically scanned the clearing, and spied a large Drakien that was emerging from the shade near a pile of rocks. The giant thing let out a bone-rattling roar before throwing one of the pieces of earth in her direction.
Rosetta screamed and lifted off ten feet into the sky, watching the earth hurtle right on-top of the bank that she had just occupied. She screamed again and darted out of the way as another piece of earth shot past her. She took cover inside a large tree trunk that had been hollowed out and once housed a creature of the mountain. She wrapped her arms around her knees and tried to calm her breathing down. her long curly crimson hair stood out among the other earthy forest colors of the mountain. All the little apprentice could think about was how safe her little cottage was at home and how much she wished she was there at the moment.

As Kadryn was wandering about she heard a roar from near by followed by a shrill scream. Flaring her wings she pulled her mace out and launched her self into the sky. Must be a dragon attack! She thought excitedly, hopefully whoever screamed can last long enough for me to get there! She had never faced a Gaili Dragon before, but she was confident in her abilities and knew she could hurt it badly even if she couldn't defeat it.
She saw a flash of vivid red fly from the sky towards the base of a tree. That's a bright color, she thought, must be an Orderite! Her eyes widened then as she saw the Giali dragon. It was huge! Plus it looked like part of the mountain side: covered in stone like scales and moss. This should be interesting, was her last thought as she plunged down silently from the sky, spiked mace held above her head in readiness to bring bloody pain.
She hit with a crunch, her mace denting the hard scales and causing the dragon to roar. But no blood splattered, only sharp rocky scale bits went flying. Her hands rang with the impact, and she knew that this was gonna be a difficult fight. With a feral grin, Kadryn laughed and smashed her mace down at the dented scales. Dodging rocks summoned by the Giali and thrown at her, Kadryn kept up her hammering, and eventually blood joined the scale shards as they flew away from the impacts. Kadryn landed one good hard blow that caused the Dragon to roar in anger and pain before it rolled over, causing Kadryn to be crushed beneath it.
She gasped with pain as the heavy thing sat on her: she'd never been pinned like this before!

Saw you posting in the ORP and thought I'd remind you of this one! Since we rolled it before the changes (We made a Minimum LUK requirement to fight creatures and dragons) you'll still get the luck and exp and all that good stuff for this. We've both got teh word requirement needed so a few posts and this is done~

Rosetta rocked back and fourth behind the shelter of her hollowed-out tree trunk and listened to the dragon. . . fight? There was sounds of rocks being thrown, some landing in the clear oasis, some colliding with the mountain face. There was also a strange sound of, what was that? Laughter? Rosetta peered from around the trunk to see a dark-winged figure hammering away at the dragon with a spiky club.
She held her breath as the blue skinned lady brought blood from the beast, believing the dragon beat until it let out a mighty roar before laying on top of her. Rosetta squeaked as she heard the wind rush from the lady's lungs and in a bout of uncharacteristic courage, she rushed from her hiding place brandishing her wand. She sent as many beams of bright magic at the wounded monster, draining herself of energy, until right as she felt she would faint, the dragon let out an annoyed noise and lumbered off, leaving the two Orderites alone in the wreckage of rock and earth.
Breathing heavily, Rosetta's knees gave and she slumped to the ground, her hands weakly groping for her skin of water. Once her breathing had slowed and her energy had been partially replenished, she turned her attention to the blue Orderite lady. "Thank you for attacking the beast while I hid. I surely would be under a pile of rocks were it not for you." {+238 words}
