It was one hundred and twenty five years ago, where Atsumichi was a performer in a famous circus that actually traveled all over the world. He wasn't just a performer though, he was the Ringmaster of the circus, and he had a close personal friend, that acted as his partner in the circus, also being the star performer named Vivi. The two of them were a perfect team in the arts of performing, her being more agile, more athletic allowing her to do various different acts whether it was trapeze, tightrope walking, and countless other things while Atsumichi was an effects type of person, as well as someone who just loved to give a good show to make the audiences cheer loudly for him and Vivi. They were apart of this circus for another five years, performing in countless major cities across the world, fascinating millions of lives with theirs, and the circuses performances.. Until once day, jealousy among another circus member took over.. He was jealous of Atsumichi, because he seemed to have all of Vivi's attention, while the man (The unnamed circus performer) actually had a secret affection for the girl.. So, he sabotaged Atsumichi's and Vivi's next performance.. The two were to perform on the highwire together, in one of their most dangerous performances of all. It involved fire, a flaming net below the high wire, as well as various flaming hoops along it, then moving objects along the circus roof, which they would have to utilize for their performance.. Though it was all planned out, with a routine that should ensure both of their safety.. But the one that had planned to Sabotage their performance altered the path of the moving objects.. While Atsumichi and Vivi were on the wire, one of the moving objects along the room was aimed to 'accidentally' ram into Atsumichi, as if it was a bad timing on the high wire, but instead, it had slammed against one of the two massive poles that was holding the high wire up.. Taking destructive damage, the pole began to crack and collapse in the middle of their performance, this brought the high wire, along with the other pole down with it, pulling the two performers along with the collapsing structure to the flames below.. Atsumichi had been at a higher risk in the fall, while Vivi tried to reach him.. Before they hit the ground, Vivi did manage to get to Atsumichi, and tried to use her own body to shield him from the fatal fall into the flames below.. What she didn't count on was the remains of the pole that were falling from above them, which landed on them as they landed on the ground.. Resulting in the exact same time of death for both of them..
Next thing Atsumichi knows, he appeared in the Soul Society.. He didn't even remember being a wandering Soul, all he could remember was his name, how to perform, and that he felt like something was missing.. It was years later, after living among the Rukongai that he was drawn to making another circus, performing for the entertainment of countless others, in countless districts.. Though it was clear, in time that Atsumichi had large amount of reiatsu within him.. He kept up these performances for years upon years, bringing joy to all the Rukon districts.. One day, he performed in front of patrolling Shinigami, and they noticed he utilized his reiatsu to create remarkable displays for entertainment.. They talked to him after the show about it, and talked to him about joining the Academy, saying that he would be able to gain more control of his power, and gain skill to use it in the way of a Shinigami.. Though he accepted, it was originally just to enhance his performance skills.. He spent only two years in the Academy, where he unlocked his Zanpakuto, and his natural skill with Kido.. But the strangest thing about his Zanpakuto was that.. It was his partner when he was alive! How was that possible? No one knows, but because of their lack of memory of their former life, they did not remember each other.. But the void of something missing in Atsumichi was filled.

She has fingerless white gloves with red linings, and a small white tophat that usually hangs on the top right side of her skull, this also has a red ribbon tied around it.
She is actually a very cheery Zanpakuto, not usually talking down about anything unless her master is displeased. If something is wrong with her master, her cheery mood goes away and is replaced by a very cold, hostile personality.

Though he rarely has his Zanpakuto in its sealed state, when it is it takes the appearance of a sort of cane, similar to what a Ringmaster would hold while guiding the show. However, there are two secrets to this cane. One is the very end of the cane where the hand goes, it can be removed to expose a small dagger, then the next one is the more expected one, the upper fourth of the blade can be pulled from the rest to expose a hidden sword within the confines of the cane.

A lifeless area, the ghost town of a former carnival that seems to have been abandoned long ago. A dense fog seems to coat this land like a blanket. Old, broken down rides that have remained untouched for years upon years simply remain there gathering rust. While in the very center of this land, lies a giant tent of a circus. Lights of this circus seem to always be on, despite the abandoned carnival, while only one person is usually within the fabric walls.. A young girl, that seems to constantly just attempt to give show after show. Despite no one to watch. When her master comes, she performs her very best for him, often inviting him to perform with her.

The appearance of the Zanpakuto actually alters completely, the entire weapon being altered by a marvelous golden light that fascinates those who usually see it as the weapon shrinks, before circling around the hand of Atsumichi, becoming a fairly large ring before the glow dies down.. Even then, a golden color remains as the golden, razor edged ring takes the place in Atsumichi's hand.

Long Term Activation:
Unlike most Zanpakutos, Atsumichi's Zanpakuto has the ability to remain in its Shikai state for utterly long periods of time without wasting any of his own reiatsu. This is because of the amazing control he has on his own Spiritual Power, which allows him to conserve his power and keep his zanpakuto in its Shikai state without any toll to him. This can be done for days upon weeks.
Mental Guidance:
Another special ability that Atsumichi has with his Zanpakuto in its shikai state in a mental guidance with the ring. This means that after he releases the ring from his hand, he can control where the flies through the air, allowing it to go into any direction he desires, at any speed he wants to make it go (Of course with speed limits), and able to make sharp and sudden movements with it. Often times, he will wave his hands around for show as he guides the ring, despite him actually not needing too.
Kidō Weaving:
The most well known ability that Atsumichi has with his Zanpakuto is what he refers too as Kido Weaving. Kido Weaving basically means to mix Kido and his Zanpakuto Ring(s) together to create alternate ways to launch Kido and use it in battle. Most often, he will hold the ring(s) in his hand, and begin charging his reishi/reiatsu into the ring, where the center will fill with glowing energy, which is usually the color of the Kido that he is charging into it. Once its charged, he will fling the ring into the desired direction, or of course just manipulate its flight pattern to go in a desired direction, usually towards the opponent.. Then, with a snap of his fingers (Often time just a phrase), and the calling of the Kido name it will release from the ring at the opponent at a level near full power.
There is also another way that this can be done, and that is to call the Kido name, but instead of releasing the Kido from the ring, the ring will actually be engulfed by the energy within it, and travel around as a burst of energy representing the Kido attack, and because of the Mental Guidance, Atsumichi is able to control the travel path of this energy, which will often go directly towards an opponent. Both ways of release are powerful, especially if the Kido is a stronger Kido.
This can also be done with binding spells, storing the Kido within the ring, and it will launch out parts of it at a time, whether its rods, it will launch them as it travels around, or its wrapping spells, it will launch part of it, and wrap it around as it travels.
Ring Expansion:
Atsumichi has the ability to increase or decrease the size of his golden razor ring, the larger it is, the more damage it can cause in a single strike, as well as much larger Kido Attacks, which may add to the power of the attacks. Though it harder to maneuver, while the smaller it is, the easier it is to maneuver, and even though the strikes are small, they can be deadly depending where they hit. The larger ring is used more for single, finishing blows if it must be, while the smaller are used for more frequent combat.
Wa Sanpu (輪散布; Ring Scatter):
This, is actually a deadly technique with the blade itself that doesn't need to involve Kido. By calling, whispering, or maybe even thinking just the name of the technique, the golden ring will begin to glow.. Whether he is holding it, or its flying along the air, as it glows, it will be noticeable that the glow seems to be splitting, dividing into multiple razor rings, totaling up to five, incredibly thin, razor sharp rings that are capable of piercing through steel with enough momentum. This is only done if Atsumichi is getting really serious. He is capable of performing any of the techniques on these five rings as he would be able to if it was only one.

The appearance of The Ringmaster only alters slightly. Her hair growing in length, while the coat is now opened to reveal a black shirt underneath. There are more red ribbons and linings throughout the wardrobe, while roses are now on the hat. Her expression seems less cheery, but still rather happy.. In almost a twisted way.
She also gains the title of The Star Performer, rather than the Ringmaster
Zanpakutō Changes:
The Zanpakuto changes quite a bit actually, keeping the same concept of the ring blades for the most part. While activating the Bankai, he must have his five ring blades released. When releasing his bankai, one ring will fly to his back, another towards the top of his head, he will hold out his arms as two others will go onto his arm, one for each arm with the arm going into the ring. Then the final ring will fly up to the sky above and rapidly expand, before releasing a pillar of light down to shine on Atsumichi, as if it was a spotlight while he releases the incantation. The rings on his arm will continue to slide up his arm, as they move they seem to leave behind additional rings down Atsumichi's arms, creating a total of five on each arm. The ring on his head turns black, and turns into the base of the soon to be tophat that he wears on his head. While the final ring rapidly expands and grows three extensions, turning into a giant, dangerous ring blade that stays on his back unless he feels the need to actually use it.

As hes releasing his bankai, reishi will coat his being as the rings move around his body, as the reishi moves throughout his body, then uncovers the formerly covered parts, it will be shown that his Bankai converted his clothing, his entire getup was altered to what easily can be identified as a Ringmaster uniform. With the rings still coating his arms, though strangely don't cut into his skin, and the ring that was above his head was converted into a tophat.
Battlefield Changes:
The Circus
Before the ring that represents the spotlight travels up to the sky, the surrounding area will start growing dark.. As if something is blocking out all light, while its noticeable that there is a strange sort of energy flowing around the surrounding area.. While the light continues to get darker and darker.. Until its nearly pitch black.. Except for the spotlight.. Though once the spot light fades away, the area will light up once again, revealing for hundreds of meters that the entire area was placed inside a giant circus structure, with various performance platforms cluttering the center ring, while rows and rows of seats reach the very end of the walls.. Though this seems like it would be an illusion, it is not. Its as if part of his inner world was brought into reality, along with his Zanpakuto Spirit.
Additional Changes:
Probably one of the most interesting changes of all is what happens to the spotlight ring. Once Atsumichi has had his clothing, and rings transform into what they should be in Bankai, the ring will suddenly begin falling from the sky, leaving a temporary spotlight behind as the ring glows, and its shape seems to alter completely until it fits that of a young woman, who's body is constantly flipping before Atsumichi will hold his arm out, with his palm up into the air before she gracefully lands on her toes pointed down for support, this reveals the Bankai spirit of the Zanpakuto Engi Shunin, coming out to actually assist her master in his performance.

Shinsei Wa Dansu (神聖環ダンス; Sacred Ring Dance):
A technique that can be performed by both Atsumichi and Vivi, whether together or at separate times. By releasing the rings from their arms, whether only a couple, or all of them, they can send them in a swarm of razor rings that glide along the air at their full control. This means up to twenty rings can be sent into combat, then if Wa Sanpu is activated, a total of one hundred rings can be released into the circus ring, leaving their opponent for the most part helpless, unless they are agile enough to actually manage to dodge the swarm of razor rings.
Though not technically apart of this ability, they can both also use their hats as razor rings as well, while also if they feel the need to, the giant ring blades that are on their back.
Supotto (スポット; The Spotlight):
A lethal technique that the duo are capable of on their own, which actually involves that incredibly large ring blade that rest on their backs. By grasping it, they can compress bright, visible reishi/reiatsu into the Ring, while also creating a powerful Kido Technique within the attack as a base for the energy.. However, probably at least four times the amount of reishi needed for the Kido is pumped into the Ring.. This is because they want this performance to go out with a 'bang'. Once the ring is prepared, it will glow madly the color of the Kido that may be within the blade, before they launch it at their opponent.. When the ring reaches the desired positioning, if it cannot hit their opponent, they will merely snap their fingers and release the energy within the blade.. Doing this causes an absolutely glorious explosion to erupt from the ring, which would nearly take up the entire giant center ring of the circus, as well as pierce through the roof top. Though depending on the kido within, it can have a tall blast, or a wide blast. A wide blast may take up most of the circus, while the tall blast would still take up most of the center ring, but pierce through the roof up to high heavens, similar to the forbidden Hado.

If they have such knowledge of the Kido, they can repeatedly snap their fingers to create rapid explosions of flames to ensure a possibly deadly result of the flames.

Atsumichi has a very unique ability, which is one of the main reasons he is apart of the Kidō Corps, and that is the ability to create Kidō that might be similar to another energy attack. Like how Kaen Yabu, a personal Kidō he created was inspired by Animus' flame based Zanpakutō. He doesn't take long to create these techniques, and once they are made, he practices frequently to master them.
Engi Shunin Gurōbu (演技主任グローブ; Ringmaster's Gloves):
An item that was specially designed for Atsumichi (Though his Zanpakuto Spirit also seems to wear them.) By request to protect his hands from his own Zanpakuto, and his Kido training, the Twelfth Division specially designed these gloves to be basically indestructible, being able to take razor sharp slices from the razor disks, and being able to take critical energy explosions from failed Kido attempts, each time the hand itself is unharmed, though it can still be felt minorly. This is because Atsumichi has a desire to protect his hands, being a performer he needs his hands to actually perform with his Zanpakuto and Kido. Though they were originally designed to protect him from his own things, he can use these to defend him in battle.

Despite being a master in Kido, because he is a performer he has fair physical combat stats, enough to keep him comparable to other vice Captains. Mental Guidance:
Another special ability that Atsumichi has with his Zanpakuto in its shikai state in a mental guidance with the ring. This means that after he releases the ring from his hand, he can control where the flies through the air, allowing it to go into any direction he desires, at any speed he wants to make it go (Of course with speed limits), and able to make sharp and sudden movements with it. Often times, he will wave his hands around for show as he guides the ring, despite him actually not needing too.
Kidō Weaving:
The most well known ability that Atsumichi has with his Zanpakuto is what he refers too as Kido Weaving. Kido Weaving basically means to mix Kido and his Zanpakuto Ring(s) together to create alternate ways to launch Kido and use it in battle. Most often, he will hold the ring(s) in his hand, and begin charging his reishi/reiatsu into the ring, where the center will fill with glowing energy, which is usually the color of the Kido that he is charging into it. Once its charged, he will fling the ring into the desired direction, or of course just manipulate its flight pattern to go in a desired direction, usually towards the opponent.. Then, with a snap of his fingers (Often time just a phrase), and the calling of the Kido name it will release from the ring at the opponent at a level near full power.
There is also another way that this can be done, and that is to call the Kido name, but instead of releasing the Kido from the ring, the ring will actually be engulfed by the energy within it, and travel around as a burst of energy representing the Kido attack, and because of the Mental Guidance, Atsumichi is able to control the travel path of this energy, which will often go directly towards an opponent. Both ways of release are powerful, especially if the Kido is a stronger Kido.
This can also be done with binding spells, storing the Kido within the ring, and it will launch out parts of it at a time, whether its rods, it will launch them as it travels around, or its wrapping spells, it will launch part of it, and wrap it around as it travels.
Ring Expansion:
Atsumichi has the ability to increase or decrease the size of his golden razor ring, the larger it is, the more damage it can cause in a single strike, as well as much larger Kido Attacks, which may add to the power of the attacks. Though it harder to maneuver, while the smaller it is, the easier it is to maneuver, and even though the strikes are small, they can be deadly depending where they hit. The larger ring is used more for single, finishing blows if it must be, while the smaller are used for more frequent combat.
Wa Sanpu (輪散布; Ring Scatter):
This, is actually a deadly technique with the blade itself that doesn't need to involve Kido. By calling, whispering, or maybe even thinking just the name of the technique, the golden ring will begin to glow.. Whether he is holding it, or its flying along the air, as it glows, it will be noticeable that the glow seems to be splitting, dividing into multiple razor rings, totaling up to five, incredibly thin, razor sharp rings that are capable of piercing through steel with enough momentum. This is only done if Atsumichi is getting really serious. He is capable of performing any of the techniques on these five rings as he would be able to if it was only one.

The appearance of The Ringmaster only alters slightly. Her hair growing in length, while the coat is now opened to reveal a black shirt underneath. There are more red ribbons and linings throughout the wardrobe, while roses are now on the hat. Her expression seems less cheery, but still rather happy.. In almost a twisted way.
She also gains the title of The Star Performer, rather than the Ringmaster
Zanpakutō Changes:
The Zanpakuto changes quite a bit actually, keeping the same concept of the ring blades for the most part. While activating the Bankai, he must have his five ring blades released. When releasing his bankai, one ring will fly to his back, another towards the top of his head, he will hold out his arms as two others will go onto his arm, one for each arm with the arm going into the ring. Then the final ring will fly up to the sky above and rapidly expand, before releasing a pillar of light down to shine on Atsumichi, as if it was a spotlight while he releases the incantation. The rings on his arm will continue to slide up his arm, as they move they seem to leave behind additional rings down Atsumichi's arms, creating a total of five on each arm. The ring on his head turns black, and turns into the base of the soon to be tophat that he wears on his head. While the final ring rapidly expands and grows three extensions, turning into a giant, dangerous ring blade that stays on his back unless he feels the need to actually use it.

The True Ringmaster
As hes releasing his bankai, reishi will coat his being as the rings move around his body, as the reishi moves throughout his body, then uncovers the formerly covered parts, it will be shown that his Bankai converted his clothing, his entire getup was altered to what easily can be identified as a Ringmaster uniform. With the rings still coating his arms, though strangely don't cut into his skin, and the ring that was above his head was converted into a tophat.
Battlefield Changes:
The Circus
Before the ring that represents the spotlight travels up to the sky, the surrounding area will start growing dark.. As if something is blocking out all light, while its noticeable that there is a strange sort of energy flowing around the surrounding area.. While the light continues to get darker and darker.. Until its nearly pitch black.. Except for the spotlight.. Though once the spot light fades away, the area will light up once again, revealing for hundreds of meters that the entire area was placed inside a giant circus structure, with various performance platforms cluttering the center ring, while rows and rows of seats reach the very end of the walls.. Though this seems like it would be an illusion, it is not. Its as if part of his inner world was brought into reality, along with his Zanpakuto Spirit.
Additional Changes:
Probably one of the most interesting changes of all is what happens to the spotlight ring. Once Atsumichi has had his clothing, and rings transform into what they should be in Bankai, the ring will suddenly begin falling from the sky, leaving a temporary spotlight behind as the ring glows, and its shape seems to alter completely until it fits that of a young woman, who's body is constantly flipping before Atsumichi will hold his arm out, with his palm up into the air before she gracefully lands on her toes pointed down for support, this reveals the Bankai spirit of the Zanpakuto Engi Shunin, coming out to actually assist her master in his performance.

Shinsei Wa Dansu (神聖環ダンス; Sacred Ring Dance):
A technique that can be performed by both Atsumichi and Vivi, whether together or at separate times. By releasing the rings from their arms, whether only a couple, or all of them, they can send them in a swarm of razor rings that glide along the air at their full control. This means up to twenty rings can be sent into combat, then if Wa Sanpu is activated, a total of one hundred rings can be released into the circus ring, leaving their opponent for the most part helpless, unless they are agile enough to actually manage to dodge the swarm of razor rings.
Though not technically apart of this ability, they can both also use their hats as razor rings as well, while also if they feel the need to, the giant ring blades that are on their back.
Supotto (スポット; The Spotlight):
A lethal technique that the duo are capable of on their own, which actually involves that incredibly large ring blade that rest on their backs. By grasping it, they can compress bright, visible reishi/reiatsu into the Ring, while also creating a powerful Kido Technique within the attack as a base for the energy.. However, probably at least four times the amount of reishi needed for the Kido is pumped into the Ring.. This is because they want this performance to go out with a 'bang'. Once the ring is prepared, it will glow madly the color of the Kido that may be within the blade, before they launch it at their opponent.. When the ring reaches the desired positioning, if it cannot hit their opponent, they will merely snap their fingers and release the energy within the blade.. Doing this causes an absolutely glorious explosion to erupt from the ring, which would nearly take up the entire giant center ring of the circus, as well as pierce through the roof top. Though depending on the kido within, it can have a tall blast, or a wide blast. A wide blast may take up most of the circus, while the tall blast would still take up most of the center ring, but pierce through the roof up to high heavens, similar to the forbidden Hado.

Description:
A special spell designed by Atsumichi for the use of flames, to add a little spice to his performance.. By calling the spell name, and snapping their fingers in the desired direction, up to a twenty yard radius, they can cause a large burst of flames to spark up from no where. Those who have little training with this technique can only create small explosions of flames, that may only cause minor burns while advance users of this technique can create massive bursts of flames to attempt to completely incinerate an opponent. One who has absolutely mastered this Kido, like Atsumichi, however do not even have to recite the Kido name.. If they have such knowledge of the Kido, they can repeatedly snap their fingers to create rapid explosions of flames to ensure a possibly deadly result of the flames.

Kidō Creation:
Atsumichi has a very unique ability, which is one of the main reasons he is apart of the Kidō Corps, and that is the ability to create Kidō that might be similar to another energy attack. Like how Kaen Yabu, a personal Kidō he created was inspired by Animus' flame based Zanpakutō. He doesn't take long to create these techniques, and once they are made, he practices frequently to master them.
Engi Shunin Gurōbu (演技主任グローブ; Ringmaster's Gloves):
An item that was specially designed for Atsumichi (Though his Zanpakuto Spirit also seems to wear them.) By request to protect his hands from his own Zanpakuto, and his Kido training, the Twelfth Division specially designed these gloves to be basically indestructible, being able to take razor sharp slices from the razor disks, and being able to take critical energy explosions from failed Kido attempts, each time the hand itself is unharmed, though it can still be felt minorly. This is because Atsumichi has a desire to protect his hands, being a performer he needs his hands to actually perform with his Zanpakuto and Kido. Though they were originally designed to protect him from his own things, he can use these to defend him in battle.
Close Combat:
Despite being a master in Kido, because he is a performer he has fair physical combat stats, enough to keep him comparable to other vice Captains. He also can go close range with his Zanpakuto, by grasping a ring, or rings with his hands, he can hold them tightly and go razor ring to blade, or razor ring to fist, or whatever sort of weapon his opponent may use.
