What goes on here?

At the time, you were not. You were a trainee and that was a Rank D spell. And how you leveled to Novice in the middle of a fight without being awarded it by another person ic or your trainer is kinda puzzling. If anything, it should have been done after since no one came in and said "heyyyyy guess what, you are now a Novice." I mean, if this was the case -that they can level without being presented it, then Dani would also be Novice since she completed her task in Noc and Kirin would be Adept. I can understand that you are fully capable of dodging, to me it wasn't only that, it was the fact you ignored everything else she did. The mantra, the undead limb being thrown at him... but it doesn't matter now. It is over, lol.


As for the sewers, you'd kinda expect a 4-star hotel to have sanitation and unless the layout is explained before, one can presume it would function as a modern day system since that is the setting. As for the mountain top, yeah it would be a hugeeee pain in the petunia to drill down into a mountain but it is certainly possible and more likely. What if the system broke, one of the 'small' pipes busted? You'd have to drill another hole to get down there to fix it, one large enough to send someone down in. The system is just practical and rational that it is wide enough to fit a person down in and keep the system functioning.

As for the undead limb I had no idea it had targeted him, and mantra?

A purely illusionary skill, Undead Mantra surrounds the user in a sphere of undead aura that can be felt by everyone who sees him/her. The aura is completely harmless, but will make the necromancer seem much more deadlier than he/she seems. The skill is initiated by an incantation and will be held for as long as the mantra is continued. After initiation, which takes a D-rank amount of energy, an E-rank amount of energy is required to hold up the illusion. Those below the user's rank will be scared enough to try and run away, those of the user's rank will flinch at the very least, and those above the user's rank will not be affected at all. Any user higher than adept will have too much energy to create a mere illusion.
