The tangle snaked out of the fog, and the first Jordan knew about it was when it snagged tight around his ankles and pulled him off his feet. He hit the ground hard. Clara couldn't tell what she hit, but she sure hoped it was the monster and not another being. OOC Name of character: Clara Damage done: 8 CURRENT HP OF BOSS: 32/40 Current HP: 75/80 Special ability: King's Regret: If you KO, instead of dissipating, you restore yourself to half your existing HP. You can only use this ONCE per encounter. Once you have used it to revive, you cannot use any other abilities (weapon, species, special) period for the entire encounter, including any that double HP, etc etc. You can only auto attack after revival. Species Ability: Ghost: Your first three battles will yield you double the drop. If you get final kill, it still only gives you x2 drops, not x4. Current weapon equipped: Refraction (2d12 - 6) TARGET: Boss

The tentacle squeezed tighter around Jordan's leg, then let go and zipped away as someone else hit the odd thing that had attacked him. Mathias was just wandering around, like usual, when he stumbled upon some trouble. Like usual. It liked to come from behind, and Jordan kept moving; this time he spotted the tail or tentacle or whatever it was before it grabbed him, and brought his blade down on it hard. Mathias was trying to keep track of it, jumping, dodging, but eventually got knocked right off of his feet. He tried slashing at it a bit more, but it was highly ineffectual. As the creature dissolved, Jordan nodded to the others who'd fought with him. "Thanks." He moved forward to pick his prizes out of the remains.
