No, Schrodinger is a Catboy (Hirano). In fact, Hirano even (possibly jokingly) said he was a Cat-d**k-girl.
When he said, "leave it to us verwolves" he was talking about the group. Hans, however is a wehrwolf werewolf.

In defence of those who Got It Wrong, it isn't one of the more well-known facts about World War II. So it's natural for those who read that name in the manga to think that they were literally werewolves, because besides the fangs, they didn't seem especially vampire-ish for a while.

In Volume 5 it specifically calls Rip-chan a werewolf.
"I thought you were a werewolf, Lieutenant!" Says the commander as Rip freezes up as Alucard approaches. . .

+B-l-a-s-p-h-e-m-y+ In Volume 5 it specifically calls Rip-chan a werewolf. "I thought you were a werewolf, Lieutenant!" Says the commander as Rip freezes up as Alucard approaches. . . you'll notice earlier, they also call her a: "wehrwolf, a Bringer of war" notice the phrase in apposition? it's referring to the fact that she was a nazi warrior. they don't actually use that spelling, but I don't trust DH translations completely. Like I said earlier, Alucard states that the Captian is the last of his kind, and it's astounding that he even exists. Don't you think if she was a werewolf, she would have changed? I mean, the world of Hellsing seems to be stuck in a permenant Full Moon.

I mean, the world of Hellsing seems to be stuck in a permenant Full Moon. Well, historically, real werewolves could control when they changed. But anyway, she's still not a real werewolf. Getting to the point of my post: Schrodinger looks like a wolf, but he's actually a cat boy. His name comes from the scientist Schrodinger who came up with "Schrodinger's cat." This consisted of a cat in a box. He said that the cat could be both alive and dead at the same time because you couldn't see the cat. He also came up with the idea that you can only know the probability of a particle (atom or electron) being in a certain location - you couldn't know exactly where it was, because the act of observing it changes its position.

It seems that the captian has the ability to change at will. THen again, he is the last, and surely very old. So it could just be his age has given him control. and yes, I'm glad someone else knows about the Schrodinger's cat theory. Also, Enrico Maxwell I think is named for some famous mathmatician.

When Schrodinger said leave it to the verevolves. I thought he was talking about some sort of seperate division in the Nazi ranks that was actually made up of werewolves. And that they hadn't just been revealed yet. And thanks for that information on the Schrodinger's cat.. theory thingy.. Now I know why he says that he is Novhere und Everyvhere.
And now I settle back into my denial and continue on thinking that Schrodinger is still my Sexy Nazi Verevolf.

When I worked out the link between Schrodinger's name and the famous theory (no, I'm not dense, the scanlations I read translated his name as 'Schuldinger' and since it isn't immediately obvious that he's a cat-boy, not a werewolf of some kind, I didn't think it strange), I was really rather impressed. It has to be one of the most original teleportation 'methods' I've ever seen in fiction. To top it off, I don't think he can 'be somewhere else' if someone is looking at him - he has to be unobserved to teleport, because being watched makes his position certain. Only then is his location or 'state' uncertain again and he can move to a different location should he wish. Very clever cool
