There was something about forests that made Heidi feel really happy. Perhaps it was those memories, the ones she had of living in a foresty town, that made her feel happy. It was..perfect. She didn't even mind the voices.

She had grown used to hearing strange voices everywhere she went. It felt almost natural.

Heidi thought nothing of these strange tasks she had to do now. It was just how things were. Perhaps if she kept doing them she could see more memories of who she was, where she came from, the people she knew. She wanted to know more.

She could only get so much water to the seed. Most of it fell from her hands before she could get to it.

Heidi turned this way and that, humming thoughtfully as she looked herself up and down in the mirror. She was wearing a glitzy champagne colored gown, tightly fitted with a mermaid silhouette and a skirt that flared out just below the knee. It would be difficult to walk in but damn would it look good. A fluffy chinchilla sat perched on a nearby stool, it wore a sparkling diamond collar.

"Is that such a good idea? You don't want to fall up or down the stairs like that other actress did.." The chinchilla warned.

Heidi frowned. "Way to ruin it for me," she mumbled unhappily under her breath.

"I heard that."

"Yes..well...I think it should be fine. If not I'm sure someone would be happy to help me up the steps, right?" Heidi flashed her companion a winning smile. Her trademark, that huge smile that was all teeth and a bubbly personality to match. "Besides, you only get nominated for best new actress once, Tilly."

"True...it is really pretty on you."

Heidi giggled. "I know, right? I should totally wear it."

Tilly chirped and nodded her head. "Yes, you should! But only if you get me something too," she demanded as Heidi came up to affectionately scratch under her chin. The chinchilla chirped and squeaked happily at her bonded's touch.

"Of course I will! Anything you like! Come on, let's see what they have for animals of your size." Heidi scooped Tilly up in her arms after that, carrying her out to find new pretty things for her companion.

All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

The frunny finally crawled out from under the bush, squeaking as her scarf got caught on a branch. It took a few tugs but she managed to get untangled before someone could come along and trap her. A group of foxfires had ganged up on her and tried to fight her all at once in the battle arena. It hadn't gone over well.

She hopped, her nose twitching as she sniffed the air. All safe.

Good, good.

She hopped away from the bush, chittering quietly as if singing a little song to herself.

Your character has been a minipet their entire life. They grew up in the Scarefari, where their parents told them to go to Minipet Battle School. Their hopes is to one day breed with a big, strong minipet and create beautiful children. However, on the way there are many adventures, including being bullied by stronger minipets in the Battle Arena, and nearly being sold to the Black Market, or taken to the Altar of Sacrifice. It's a cruel world in the minipet world, and not everyone is out to help them. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a minipet, in the minipet setting (anywhere on the site is fair game for interpretation "icly"). "The big day is tomorrow, girl. You better be ready for it," said a short man with a huge toothy grin. The girl didn't answer, she simply sat on the windowsill and stared outside into the city. She had worked hard for this room. You started with a dingy old room on the bottom floor, and then after ten kills you were upgraded to the next floor; after thirty kills you were upgraded again. Most others hadn't made it to the next tier, fifty, so very few knew what it was like.

She had surpassed them all. Ninety-eight victories, not a single loss. It had earned her a penthouse suite that overlooked the city.

Tomorrow it would be taken away from her. Win or lose...she had been told victories ninety-nine and one hundred had rewards of their own. It terrified her, excited her, made her anxious and yet curious. What happened after ninety-nine? She was as high as she could get...what would they do for her? She had no need for money, or special things, everything was provided for her.

She slept in the window that night, her face pressed against the cool glass. When she awoke she was led to the basement. There was a long tunnel that led to the arena; there waited the spectators, unseen but always present. What would the arena be disguised as today? Last time it had been a cave, she had only been allowed use of what was in the cave.

So she had broken a rock and smashed her opponent's head in with it.

This time was different. "A special occasion calls for special rules, pet," they had said. She was allowed th choice of two weapons from a lineup; she chose a pair of daggers and a set of now and arrows. She was groomed and dressed. "A special occasion," they had answered again when the girl made her confusion know.

She was the first to get this far.

The girl knew few things; she was special, she wanted for nothing, and she was unstoppable. The first of her kind. She was perfect. She didn't know where her opponents came from. They were very rarely the same type of personality twice; some were cocky and fought back, some begged, some ran, but in the end they all shared one thing in common...

They were just another tally on her list.

She stepped out into an open field surrounded by trees. On the other side of the field was a girl; she had one eye and long brown hair. She looked terrified.

This was her ninety-nine? Too easy.

The girl raised her bow and placed and shot it at the brunette. It flew inches from her face and embedded itself in the tree behind her. The brunette gasped and scrambled to run, disappearing in the forest. That was more like it. The girl stalked after her on silent foot, her pace slow and calm even as she retrieved the arrow from the tree. Much better.

She didn't say a word, she never ran, she didn't even frown or crack a smile. The brunette made it far too easy to follow her.

The terrain didn't matter, the prey didn't matter. In the me she would get her; she would kill her, and she would be rewarded for it.

Just like always.

(Bumping up to 9!) Your character only knows about the Arena. They exist in the Arena, they fight in the Arena, they are slaves in the Arena. Every single day, they live, caged, watching countless faces also get roll in, and countless faces die. Every single day they wait for their 99th kill. They are on kill 98. Tomorrow will be kill 99. Tomorrow, they will face -

It is up to you how your character looks, and (optionally) what weapons they use as well as who they face. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

It was dark, dank, and very nearly silent. There was only one 'window', a small hole in the ceiling high above about the size of a large fist, as if someone had punched through in an attempt at freedom but only gotten as far as making that first hole. It was their only way of knowing the time of day outside. It was a tight chamber of at least a hundred people, all tired, most broken. They feared sleep, were terrified to eat or drink, and did not have the strength to fight. Even the strongest and largest of men had been broken and made examples of by them.

The horsemen.

Heidi slept, exhausted beyond belief. A woman she didn't even know held her close simply for the benefit of having someone there. The light above them told them it was daytime but it was impossible to tell what time of day it was.

The cell door opened and three horsemen stood in the way. One was familiar, the door guard, and another was a dark-skinned female draped in luxurious scarves and veils, but the other it was hard to make out anything about the third horseman. They were tall, pale-skinned, and covered almost completely in layers upon layers of robes and scarves. The guard looked disgruntled while their two visitors looked suspiciously pleasant and almost..friendly. The reactions among those gathered in the room were varied but instantaneous; many of the men and some of the women bristled with rage, or fear, or defense, while others simply shied away and tried not to be noticed.

The female blew a kiss to the guard before she linked arms with the robed figure and began to make her way through the crowd with him. She was looking left and right, stopping briefly on each face as if in search of something. As the pair walked there was the tinkling and jingling of jewelry and metal coins clinking together.

Finally she stopped in front of Heidi with a pleased sound. She tugged her companion's arm. "There she is, the one I was telling you about," she crooned to the taller horseman. The taller one smiled in the way a father would look upon a young child as he regarded the small blonde. Heidi had woken up when the body beside her tensed and was now gazing blearily up at the two horsemen. What..? "Isn't she lovely, Salbei?"

"Quite," said Salbei as he let go of the female's arm and bent down to be more on level with the girl. Heidi's eyes opened wide and she tried to back away, except a hand reached out from inside the robes and gently held her shoulder. She stopped, too petrified to move.

Oh god. Oh god. I'm going to die. I'm going to die.

Salbei's grasp on her shoulder was firm yet..somehow still gentle. "Do not be afraid, little one. We are here to take you away from all of this."

"It's terrible how they're treating someone so pretty," the female added with a sympathetic tone, putting a hand on Salbei's shoulder as she also leaned in close. "Would you like to come with us, child?"

All Heidi could do was shake her head no, and she didn't stop shaking it even as the door guard pushed through the crowd and forced her to her feet. She couldn't breathe, she didn't know what to do. She was no match to fight off three horsemen..but...maybe..? She looked desperately to the people around her. They looked as if they wanted to fight but the fear was obvious in their eyes. The way they parted to let the three horsemen pass through with Heidi made her finally force out a scream. "H-HELP! SOMEONE! HELP ME! DON'T LET THEM TAKE ME AWAY! PLEASE!" She shrieked, struggling in the guard's arms until she had managed to get onto his shoulder and be carried like a sack. She reached out for one man who did push through the crowd and shout her name, reaching for her hand until a second guard shoved him back and slammed the door closed.

I'm going to die..

Heidi whimpered and backed away when she was finally set down on her feet, tears rolling down her cheeks. Salbei's eyes widened at the sight. "Dear child! No! Oh, no," he shushed her softly as he reached out to gently cup her cheeks, rubbing away the tears with his thumbs. He wore that same fatherly smile on his face. "We will not hurt you. I swear to you..what is your name, little one?"

What..? "H-Heidi.." she whispered, her entire body was shaking life a leaf.

Salbei chuckled. "A pleasure, Heidi. What a lovely name. Come, we will take you to your new quarters. Do you have a favorite color? Perhaps we can decorate your new room with it."

Heidi somehow managed to follow alongside Salbei who had wrapped an arm around her shoulders while the female came around and did the same on Heidi's other side. The conversation was pleasant while they walked, the pair of horsemen asking her various questions about her.

She had no idea what they truly had planned for her...

Your character exists in a timeline where the horsemen Apocalypse actually occurred. Basically the Horsemen (four clans) have taken over the Human World. If you are a horsemen you dominate this world, if you are a Hunter you exist as food, if you are part of Halloween you exist as the Resistance fighting against the horsemen. All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

Annnd dead. There went another vampire. The Moon Hunter walked up and kicked open the chest left behind by the high-level mob. Hmm...oh, neat! A new necklace! Annnnd...eugh. A crappy little pistol.

Lame.

At least that meant she had killed the fifteen undead she needed. Three horsemen of any clan, fifteen undead, six monsters. Quest done.

She moved on to return to the NPC she needed to speak to in order to turn in her quest, only stopping when a familiar character ran past her. Wait, what? Was that..? No. It couldn't be. Well, maybe..

She turned from her quest line, ignoring the arrow flashing and pointing in the direction she needed to go. Was that who she thought it was?

Despite there being no friendly fire, Heidi activated several spells while targeting Tuck anyway. They were ineffective, and Tuck let her have her fun before they started toward the map Heidi had said their quest would lead them.

Your character plays This is Halloween, the greatest online MMO ever created. While in reality they may exist as their somewhat boring, ordinary selves (with jobs, or school, or whatnot), online they can be whatever they want. Part of the noble (but human) faction of Deus Ex as a Hunter, or the more neutral faction of Halloween, or even the feared Horsemen faction. PVPs, raids, and even some roleplayed events occur for your character to get loot. Basically, they are humans ICly playing their actual TiH incarnations, feel free to interpret as you please. Heidi was..confused. Were those her own memories? It was so hard to tell..but there was so much conflict. She would like to think they weren't.

She sighed and shook her head, gasping softly when she noticed her tiny little seed had grown.

The light pool immediately got Heidi's attention. She didn't even look the way of the others.

"Please, dad? Pleeeeeeeeeease?" Heidi pleaded, holding the baby bunny in her hands. It was an plush lop with long ears and soft, soft fur. She stared up at her father, lips pouted and eyes wide.

He sighed. "Fine, fine. But you're taking care of it."

She grinned. "Yay! Thank you! Thank you so much, dad!"

When they returned home she immediately brought it to her bedroom and set up a little area for it to rest. It was the softest thing she had ever felt, softer even than velvet. She couldn't stop petting the small bunny.

It was a calm rabbit, a soft bunny that didn't cause trouble or make noise.

The tree grew, the leaves rustled.

Heidi smiled. "I love it."
