People say I'm:
A bossy young girl that commands attention everywhere she goes, despite her short stature. She's a girl that knows what she wants and will stop at nothing to obtain them, even if it means killing a person or two. Human life is a concept she doesn't understand, that and the lives of other beings she deems as unworthy or 'trash'. She handles their lives with the care of a toddler and once she's done with them, unceremoniously throws them to the ground, to be stepped on others. Authoritative figures and those with a naturally higher position than, are never met with respect and it must be beaten out of her, either that or it is gained over time. Her care and general interest in others is often times a ruse; for the only one's she finds truly interesting are herself and the many males she lusts after. Despite all these faults, she has a charming side to her. Believe it or not, she's easily impressed and therefore easy to befriend. Friends are treated as royalty and held before all.
But they don't know me:
Marissa Volx grew up in the ideal home-- a mansion really. Her parents came from an old and powerful family, the head of their clan. So it only made since that they'd have a lavish lifestyle. The young mistress was loved and doted upon by her nurses, relatives, and even her parent when they could spare a moment. In her childhood she spent her days playing in the gardens with her many cousins and younger aunts and uncles, where she always chose the games and of course led them. Being of higher power, her playmates had no choice but to play by her rules.
As she grew older her clan began to erupt in chaos, with mutiny and murder occurring on a near weekly basis. Her parents had to take charge, and so they sent their daughter off to live with a human family for precautionary measures. She was miserable. Although the humans were well aware of her state and treated her as well as they could, it wasn't home. They were a middle-class family of slobs, and it got to the point where she refused to talk to them. Though that didn't stop her from taking a midnight snack from the eldest boy. She became intoxicated with his blood and thus the two became romantically involved and they got to the point where he willingly allowed her to drink his blood. Of course there was more to their relationship than her just drinking his blood, there were other perks as well; their relationship lasted for six months. She was in heaven, but once again something had to get screwed up.
Her parents eventually came back to take her and with news. The rebellion had ended, but there was a catch. She was to be married to the rebellion leader's son as a peace offering, he was of noble blood so their offspring would be pure-blooded, and their clan would prosper. It was all fine and dandy except for the fact that Marissa didn't want to get married. She was happy in her relationship with the human boy (who's name she often forgot) and she refused. One thing led to the other and two days later she ran away from home. In the two weeks she spent alone, she caused as much chaos as possible and in the end set two buildings on fire; one was a school, long since abandoned. After a fight with her boyfriend she decided to drive around town, though had been too upset to take her usual pint of blood. She began to experience symptoms similar to being intoxicated and it took no time at all before she was pulled over and although she tried to explain she only lacked blood, not common sense, her story wasn't believed and was put in jail for the night. Her parents bailed her out the next day.
Ultimately she broke up with her boyfriend and went back to live with her parents and now fiancée. Two days before the wedding the two were out in public when he angered her, resulting in her grabbing a steak knife and trying to stab him. The police were called and although she tried to explain that he wasn't a human and couldn't be killed with a knife, she wasn't believed and was arrested. After of course, leading them on a two hour man-hunt. During her trial she was nothing short of a brat and at one point threw her shoes at both the judge and her lawyer. Her parents could no longer deal with her so she was taken to the academy, kicking and screaming.
Blood Lust
For a short period of time, Marissa can increase her speed, stamina, and strength. This ability is most commonly used to catch difficult prey, though it can also be used offensively. It drains her mentally and physically and at least two pints of blood are needed to fully recharge. The time limit is only fifteen minutes and if used continuously without a break, can lead to severe internal injuries and blacking out.
