Yesss questionnssss
1) How are Guardians hired by the school? Were they once students? Or can they be found from outside sources and be invited into the school to work? 2) What are a few examples of ways that you can rise in the ranks via promotions, aside from winning a tournament or competition against a teacher? You mentioned escaping could win you a promotion; but, what else? Is it possible for students to bribe and or perform services for teachers in order to gain promotions? 3) What are the two rules of a basic tournament? Do the staff members get to set rules once the challenge is extended? Or is the student able to set the rules? Can the tournament be for anything, or does it have to be fighting? Say, a student challenges a teacher to a tournament of cookie baking? 4) What are some of the punishments that the teachers and headmaster dole out? What is detention like? Is it possible to be confined to your dorm room? Do they restrict access to food or showers or other basic commodities of life? Do they use forms of martial punishments like beatings or spankings?
Well then... you. I'm glad you asked me these questions though, made me really think.
1. Most are recommended by the government, either because they've been personally trained by them, or have been given word of their exemplary abilities to deal with 'hooligan's. A rare case is that at one point they were in fact students of the academy. They would've previously been Platinum ranked students and have gotten close with the staff and able to be fully trusted.
2. Tournaments can be anything and everything, from cookie baking like you said, to battling, to even playing a game of chess. It's entirely up to the teachers. Good deeds are another way to be promoted. Say stopping a potentially fatal match between two students, that'd be a good (although somewhat dangerous) way to do that. Being a kiss-up is also a good way too, teachers love that. But for those too lazy to actually put forth any effort, I'm sure they're one or two corrupted teachers who would take a bribe or two, it certainly isn't against the rules. Though it wouldn't be wise to tell others about that. Students can only challenge a teacher once a month, and never the same teacher twice.
3. The two most basic rules of the tournament are: No outside help, and no foul play, and it's the staff that sets the rules for them.
4. Hardest question to answer... Beatings are the most common form of punishment dealt out, though there's of course a limit to how far they can be taken. Detention is usually a two hour long period spent with the headmaster or other scary-ish teacher, though in extreme cases detention is nothing more than a day spent in a dark room without food or water. They must break you! I guess you could be confined to your room and your Guardian be given instructions to... tie you to the bed? That way you can't do anything too entertaining.
I honestly haven't given too much thought on it, but I'll definitely have a better answer for this last question soon.

Whelp, prepare yourself for more thinking xD;; I have tons more where that came from.
5) How does one go about requesting to start at a higher rank than Bronze? What factors would you take into consideration while allowing that? Are there any requirements?
6) Is there ANY way to leave the school? Can you eventually 'graduate' or get cycled out thanks to good behaviour? Or are you stuck in it for the rest of your supposedly natural life?
7) How long has the school been in operation, now? And how long has it been a well known place?
cool I can't seem to find a list of classes that are available to take - I'm sorry if it's in a really obvious spot but I'm a bit of a ditz. What are the available courses?
i wish i can anser 6 and 7 but...i dont think i can
but i just went to herenPositions to find the classes that are there(based on the type of teachers we can get
and then for getting such things like ranks i beieve its as simple as Asking on the promotion page...or PMing the captain(which no one has done yet)

0.o curious, ain'tcha? XD
5. Well really, you just go up to a teacher, look them dead in the eye (show them no fear! Teachers can smell that), and say slowly, "I want to challenge you." XD no, you don't have to do that. The only true requirement is that you need to have been a student for at least a month.
6. Gah, another hard one. Students I guess can graduate and they can leave, but are at the beck and call of the academy, and never really are left alone (they just love you so much). If they need you for any reason you come back.
7. Not too long, about five years. During its first two years, the school was kept hush-hush and all students who were taken had their files erased. They were just one day gone. It only became known to the public when the government introduced it to the world as a 'solution' to youth violence, since it was then confirmed that it was a success.
