The spirits guided her.
The first thing she saw was a spark of light. A warm, white glow, that encompassed her and then, wisp-like, began to separate from her, floating away. It was encouraging her, telling her to walk forwards.
Everything seemed to take an almost surreal, enchanted air. Thin mist covered the ground, but it was a gentle mist, unlike the unforgiving fog of Destruction. She could hear music, humming, singing, somewhere in the background. Then, more and more wisps began to appear around her, simply floating white orbs that guided her way forward, leading her in a path.
Eventually, trees began to appear in all directions around her. Long, silver trees, that looked to be bare and empty. They were all thin, the same size and form, noticing this, she continued walking until she reached a particularly large silver tree.
Its branches, however, were also barren. It was quiet, but she felt something, almost like a warm heartbeat from within, sleeping. It seemed sickly.
"At last," it echoed in a feminine voice that Gwyn vaguely realized was coming from the tree. "At last, someone has arrived to hear my tale. It has been so long, I have been silence too long, taken and hidden, my power feared but not respected, cultivated until I am barren and empty. This is all that remains of my Legacy, but I am not finished, not yet. As long as my powers remain, my children will prosper after me. They will take up my mantle, to protect, to serve, to remember, and to grieve. Men like the Great King will rise again, and fall just as easily, but I only wish to serve. Come now. Help me fulfill my last desire."

At last the forest cleared and Gwyn reached a lake. Light and a thousand glowing orbs danced over the surface, giving it the illusion of being made of pure white. In the distance, silver trees peered out from the thin mist. She was drawn by the lake, to the lake. All else seemed insignificant. She then heard a strange noise, a soft singing coming from the lake itself. Placing her head into the water, she heard it more clearly. A voice called from inside the lake. It sounded remorseful. "Heal my children," it chimed, "And when you do I will give you a gift of immeasurable value. That is my only wish and my only desire. Take these waters and carry them to my children." The orbs around her began to dance again, and slowly, pulled her out of the water. Without much option, she figured out that she had to use her hands to hold the water. Carrying it carefully and slowly, Gwyn tried not to trip and spill the precious contents. Slowly, she was guided forward by the spirits, the orbs, until she reached the sickly tree. She then poured the water onto the tree. It shivered a little bit and then, from a branch, spawned a single acorn. The tiny acorn fell right in front of Gwyn and then the entire tree shuddered and withered, whispering a small thank you as it did so.

The floating orbs guided her back until she returned, once more, to the lake. Once again, the lake was humming. She had no other choice but to move into the lake to listen to its words. "My children need time to grow, to move on from my Grief. Help them create their own Legacy and feed them each unique memories."In the water, shadowy forms began to form, and then created large, dark blue bubbles. Each bubble was a memory. Her memory. Just not just any memory of hers, but strange, unusual and foreign memories. Some clearly contained her, or what might have been her, some she doesn't even remember herself, but still clearly had her face on it. Curious, she reached close, and pulled those around her. Quote: Rolling a 5: Your character has been a minipet their entire life. They grew up in the Scarefari, where their parents told them to go to Minipet Battle School. Their hopes is to one day breed with a big, strong minipet and create beautiful children. However, on the way there are many adventures, including being bullied by stronger minipets in the Battle Arena, and nearly being sold to the Black Market, or taken to the Altar of Sacrifice. It's a cruel world in the minipet world, and not everyone is out to help them. If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a minipet, in the minipet setting (anywhere on the site is fair game for interpretation "icly"). You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Suddenly, she was a minipet, not a kelpie, but rather a fear stunted kelpie. She was headed to the minipet battle school at her parent's request. She missed her home in the scarefari, but, loving her parents greatly, she had set off. Twice, someone had tried to catch her, one proclaiming his intent to sell her and the other just maliciously grinning. Luckily, she had managed to avoid both by diving into the water. Still, the water was not the safest place because many other minipets lived there. This included one that seemed intent on eating her and chased her whenever she entered the water, it was a lotus fish that was jealous that she could survive both on land and in the water. Seeing another person ahead, she darted into the forest, hoping she'd be safe, hoping to reach the school.

Quote: Rolling a 9: Your character only knows about the Arena. They exist in the Arena, they fight in the Arena, they are slaves in the Arena. Every single day, they live, caged, watching countless faces also get roll in, and countless faces die. Every single day they wait for their 99th kill. They are on kill 98. Tomorrow will be kill 99. Tomorrow, they will face - It is up to you how your character looks, and (optionally) what weapons they use as well as who they face. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Then, as suddenly as before, she was in an arena, or rather, Gwyn had been in the arena for a long time, or rather, she could only remember being in the arena. For years she had watch slaves kill and be killed in the arena, until it was her turn. She had fought and fought, trying only to survive. Already she had fought 98 battles, had won 98 fights, had killed 98 others. She knew that if she reached 99, she'd be freed. Because of this, she had been anticipating her final battle, but that had all changed when she learned whom she would fight the next day. Her 99th battle would be versus her one friend int the arena: Balfour. Now, she dreaded her final fight, knowing that only one of them would survive. Nonetheless, she would fight with everything she had, because they had both made a promise: if they ever met in battle, they'd both give it their all and not begrudge the winner.

Quote: Rolling a 8: Your character plays This is Halloween, the greatest online MMO ever created. While in reality they may exist as their somewhat boring, ordinary selves (with jobs, or school, or whatnot), online they can be whatever they want. Part of the noble (but human) faction of Deus Ex as a Hunter, or the more neutral faction of Halloween, or even the feared Horsemen faction. PVPs, raids, and even some roleplayed events occur for your character to get loot. Basically, they are humans ICly playing their actual TiH incarnations, feel free to interpret as you please. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Pulled into another bubble, Gwyn was no longer a kelpie, but her character was. She was playing an MMO called This is Halloween. Her character was questing, trying to join the game as a character at Amityville Academy. Having just made her first quest character, Gwyn was excited when the next event slated said that it would include quest characters. Eager to get to play her new character and hoping that she could get her character accepted through the event, Gwyn happily signed up. Being who she was, when the event started, she did not tentatively start playing, but rather jumped in with both feet, trying to immerse herself in the game play. She had been RPing for years but never like this. This was new and exciting.

Quote: Your character exists in a world where Halloween does not exist. They are Human and they go to a Human high school. They are part of a swimming club, and they are currently about to face a great competition. They know their rival swim team is trying to race against them but they must win the gold medal, for their team! All else you can interpret as you please, including roles and canon. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. Still in the form of a human, Gwyn was pulled into a bubble where Halloween did not exist in any form. Instead, she went to a fairly normal high school, except for one thing that set it above the others: her school's swim team was in the finals of a competition and she was one of her school's chosen competitors. Her school's rival, known as the "Sharks", was their competitor in the finals. Not one to like losing, Gwyn was determined to win the gold medal for her team.

Quote: All characters in this world have the special ability that when they hit a certain age, they can summon a creature form of themselves. The most powerful are the zodiac creatures, the twelve animals that govern the zodiac (starting with Rat --> Pig), the least powerful are the lesser creatures that govern them, such as pidgeons, etc. When doing this prompt, look at all the minor achievements your character has collected. If you have less than 10, write for a less powerful one, if you have less than 20 write for an average one, if you have more than 21 write for a greater zodiac creature. How do they bond/ what is their role in this world/ how do they communicate with each other is entirely up to you. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from. The final bubble Gwyn entered held a strange world where everyone could summon an animal form of themselves once they came of age. When she had come of age, her parents were prouder of her than ever, because she had summoned one of the greater zodiac creatures, a horse. This meant that she out ranked her parents, who had only summoned average creatures. Once the government had been informed of her summoning, she was immediately moved into a prestigious school that would groom her to be one of the world's leaders. Disliking both being forced into something and having to be in a position of leadership, Gwyn resented it. She loved her horse self, but she also, slightly, wished that she had summoned an average creature like her parents, that the weight of the world would not be on her shoulders. Sighing that this was not so Gwyn turned and went to her next class.

Wading back out of the lake, Gwyn shook her head. Each of these memories seemed correct, but, at the same time, they were not hers. They seemed to belong to her equivalent in other worlds. At first not knowing what to do with the memories, Gwyn headed back over to the acorn, only it was not an acorn anymore. As she had been experiencing these memories, it had grown into a small but sturdy sapling. Sitting down next to it, Gwyn knew what she had to do and happily offered up these strange memories to the sapling. The sapling seemed delighted at the offerings. It was so delighted, it gave her a small blessing in the form of a small feeling of anticipation and joy. Smiling, Gwyn watched as the sapling quickly grew into a small tree.

Smiling, Gwyn noted that, with her hard work, the tree was almost fully grown. It swayed a bit, delicate, but with a life of its own. "Not quite," whispered a voice, and she was obliged to return back to the lake, back to where she had started. However, instead of a lake, she was faced with a strange sight. There was a beautiful castle in the distance, but it seemed far, far in the distance. The colors were strange and still, and waters poured from multifaceted rocks in tiers and layers. "Take some of this water, and my blessing. This is my last request. Show my children your world so they will grow each unique and different."Gwyn reached out, but she noticed that there were so many tiny pools reflecting back. Examining each pool, she decided between them. The dark pool could be poisonous to the tree, so she could not choose that one. The empty pool would not give the tree anything, so it was also not an option. The cold pool could freeze its roots damaging it, so it too was eliminated. That only left the light pool and the warm pool. Wanting to pick a more temperate pool for the tree, Gwyn reached out and took some water from the light pool. As she did so, soft, gentle memories from her life seemed to spring to life. As she poured the water onto the tree it grew one more time, and then it was complete. Her tree had become something truly spectacular. Then the tree leaves rustled, and she heard a voice ask her, "Are you satisfied with what I have become?"

Grinning up at the tree, Gwyn was extremely satisfied with what it had become. As she looked up at it, she remembered something: her fear stunted horsefly, Damsel. She had raised it since it was a baby, nurturing it much like she had nurtured this tree. For a long time, it had been her best friend. She had always let it roam free, so it could do what it wanted. This had turned out to be a mistake, because, when it was a decade old, someone had, for some reason, killed it leaving its mangled body laying there for her to find. After that, she had always kept a close watch on her minipets.
