Oh, what a pretty light. It was so warm. Meixiang reached for it but it danced just out of reach. Leading her into a thin mist. Separating from her body. Was it a part of her? Or just a gentle hitchhiker?
She followed after it, trying to catch it once more. Don't go little friend.
The world around her was surreal. Like a fuzzy dream of fantasy, it was a comfortable place. Meixiang felt safe here. Somewhere far off she could hear music and singing. Diluted. It lured her further and further along.
More floaty orbs. They continued to pull her forward. Trees began to line the path. Thicker and thicker their numbers growing as she walked along the path. The shimmered and shined though even still they were barren of any leaves. How sad. Was it fall?
Soon she came to a larger tree. Much larger than the others but still just as barren. But still something was there, lingering inside. Sleeping. Or perhaps just very weak. Was that a heart beat?
As she drew closer a voice whispered to her. It wished a favor of her. How could she deny this poor thing it's dying wish? Meixiang nodded as she placed a hand on the large tree, trying to sooth it.

The orbs called to her once again. Dancing ethereally through the air. They lead her away from the tree a bit and the forest cleared. A lake, pure and clean. Light from the orbs danced off it's surface.
She could hear a voice calling to her. A voice beneath the water.
Slowly she made her way to the edge, leaning an ear in to hear. But still she could not make out what it was saying. So she plunged her head beneath the surface. Now it was clear. She could understand what it wanted, what it desired.
Soon the orbs were gently pulling her from the water. She almost didn't want to leave, the water and the voice were so soothing. But she had a task to do. Cupping her hands she gathered as much water as she could. Carefully standing and making her way back to the large silver tree. The orbs guiding her all the way.
Once she had returned, she poured the water slowly over it's roots. The tree shuddered and it's barren branches trembled. Until finally a single acorn appeared and dropped to the ground. It was of a fairly decent size.
The tree withered away, but not before whispering a gentle thank you. Meixiang picked up the acorn, examining it before she dug a small hole and dropped it in. Covering the precious seed with dirt once more.

Again the orbs. They were so persistent, but she didn't mind. They were oddly comforting.
Once more they guided her down to the lake. And again she stuck her head beneath the water with a smile. Listening to the voice once more. Giving a small nod as she understood.
Soon dark blue bubbles began to appear all around her. Memories. Her memories. Or...what were suppose to be her memories. They certainly looked like her own, but still...there was something off about them. She didn't remember these memories. Of course, there were a lot of things she didn't remember these days.
But no, no. These ones she was certain were different than what her true memories were.
Reaching out, she began to gather the different bubbles to bring back to her little acorn. It needed these to grow into something beautiful. To continue the legacy of what once slumbered in it's parent tree.

She had to hurry home, work had kept her later than usual and now she was strapped for time. Meixiang raced up the stairs to her apartment, dropped her keys at the door with a curse then stumbled on through. Kicking her shoes off and scrambling to her computer. Shaking the mouse to wake it up.
Double clicking the This Is Halloween MMO icon on her desktop, she scrambled into the bedroom and put on some comfy clothes then scurried into the kitchen for drinks and snacks. Hopping into her expensive computer chair and putting on her equally as expensive head set. Opening up the voice chat client. "Alright freaks, I'm here!" Her guildies returned with gripes and hellos and about times.
They were going to do a full on raid of the Deus Ex sanctuary tonight. Trying to be the first guild of the Horsemen faction to ever accomplish such a feat. "Alright! Meimei level 85 Archer ready to go! You guys ready to kick some Deus a**?!" Another cheer and chatter in the voice chat.
And away they went. Off on another MMO adventure. They all gathered their characters outside the gates of the sanctuary. Linking in their voice chat with the other faction guild's voice chat. s**t talking flying back and forth as the raid began. Each lost many players in the first wave, eventually all their numbers dwindled.
They were so close. So close to victory. Meixiang had managed to hang on this long just a little bit further. A few more to kill!
The lights went out. Her computer shut off and she lost all power in her apartment. Meixiang shrieked! Trying to get something to turn back on. What was going on?! Was it a black out?! Scrambling from her chair she looked out the window. No, the street lights were still on.
Looking down at the table by the door she saw her electric bill with an over due stamp on the envelope. Those...bastards turned her power off?!
The next morning at work Meixiang looked bedraggled. Tired from staying up most of the night crying and throwing tantrums in fits of rage. A co-worker and fellow guildie told her how it had all ended. After she disconnected the last of their guild wiped. Another guild had come in and taken over the fight, finishing what their guild couldn't.
If she had just payed her bill none of this would have even happened. The mundane gods were mocking her.

Dear Parents,
Since you sent me off to Mini Pet battle school I have had quite the adventure. My true dream was to breed with one of the strong Minis and make beautiful children that would be the envy of all minis everywhere.
But sadly it seems this is just not to be my fate.
After arriving I came across a bully mini who likes to pick on me. A lot. He takes my lunches and pushes me in the mud!
I tried my hand at the battle arena but the bully is there to. And he likes to beat up on me all the time. It's not fair! One time he stuffed me in a box and I almost got sold to the Black Market! How horrible it would have been!
Then he lured me onto the Alter of Sacrifice with snacks. If it wasn't for one of the other minis walking by I would have been long gone. How would you ever live without your wonderful, magnificent offspring?! I know it's hard to fathom!
Lets just say ever since I left home it's been nothing but suck. I want to come home! I don't want to stay here anymore! All I wanted was to breed with that sexy minipet I saw on my first day here and make beautiful children that I could be proud of! But NO. The minipet gods have turned their backs on me and now I'm stuck in this miserable place.
Thanks a lot parents. I guess I'll just go hide in a hole now or something and hope the bully mini goes away. I don't know if I'll ever see you again to be honest, he seems pretty set on making my life a living hell and running me off into the sunset.
I guess this is good bye.
Love you! Your offspring.
P.S. Send me some cookies?
P.P.S. OH! And and don't look under my bed!

It was the day. The day when Meixiang came of age and she got her animal form. She was so excited that she couldn't wait to get to the great hall. Where all those of age would gather today to find out their own.
She tugged her parents along, trying to hurry them so that they wouldn't be late. To which they both laughed and told her to calm down. They would get there in time. There was no rush. They had plenty of time.
But soon they arrived. Many people from all over filtered in to watch the new younglings get their animals. The group this year was small, but that was ok. Less to take the limelight off of her. Meixiang made sure her parents got the best seat she could save them before scrambling to join the others in the middle of great hall.
A gong sounded and everyone bowed forward as the Master entered the hall. LIfting a hand to them all they all sat back to watch except for the kids in the middle. They kept their heads bowed.
"Today is a day of great celebration!" His voice boomed through out the hall. "Today you will all gain your spirit forms and come of age!" Taking a bit of sweet smelling stuff from a pouch in her sleeve, he sprinkled it over each of their heads. "Now concentrate. And summon!"
It was easy for some. They could summon their animal forms easily. Their forms changing into one of the Zodiac animals. Meixiang closed her eyes and tried to focus. Focus on become what she would.
She could feel it, the change settling into her as her body shifted and twisted until finally she had done it! Her nose wiggled and long floppy ears twitched back and forth. A rabbit? Well, at least it wasn't a rat she suppose.
Rabbits were nice.
When they had all summoned their animal selves they were instructed to change back. One after the other they returned to their normal forms.
"Now we celebrate!" Cheers rang out through the hall as music played. Food was brought out and everyone began to mingle. Meixiang ran to her parents with a wide grin on her face. "Did you see?! A rabbit!"

Insanity ruled. It consumed this world.
The Queens lashed the whip and all servants obeyed. No fighting, no resistance. Just sheer obedience. They all knew what would happen if they revolted. There had been few in the past who tried and they ended up dead.
Meixing shuffled along, hunched over. One thin arm dragging along the ground as she moved back and forth. Moving one grey pointy rock from one pile to the other. Back and forth, back and forth. This was her life. Nothing ever changed.
Sometimes she slept and if she was good she could eat. But for the most part this was it. As was the same with all of those who were stuck in this pit with her. None of them ever changed.
Day in, day out. Move this rock. Move that rock.
There really wasn't anything else to this. No change, nothing. Just the Queens as they barked words that she could not understand. Whipped those that they did not think were working hard enough. Fast enough.
It always put a bit of get up and go in everyone's steps when they heard the crack of the whip.

Your character is a wizard that goes to Pigfarts, the most prestigious wizarding school of them all. It is their first year transferring into the school, and they are scared they will be sorted into Serpentarius, the rumoured "bad group" among the four sorted groups. You secretly hope you will either be part of the Pegasi (hard working, but not very intelligent), Leo (Brave and noble), or even the Capricorns (Intelligent). If you are a horsemen, hunter, or student, it doesn't matter, you are a student of Pigfarts. You are only writing your character's POV but you can borrow NPCs and any players characters you got permission from.

With these memories her little acorn began to grow. Taller and taller, the little sapling wiggled and squirmed as it reached for the sky.
But it wasn't enough. There was more. Always more.
The voice called to her once more, the orbs guiding her for a last time to the lake. But this time when she returned the lake was gone. Replaced by a beautiful castle that seemed to far off to reach. From the castle flowed streams of water that gathered into many pools.
Take the water. The blessing. She could not deny the last request. It would be the last and she would fulfill it. But from which pool would she take the water from? There were so many. Each gave a small hint of something different. A small change from one to the other.
It took her a minute but she finally decided to dip her hands into the dark pool. Gathering cold, dark water into her cupped hands she carefully returned to her sapling with her gathered water. Pouring it slowly.
The tree shivered and once more grew. It was even more beautiful than what it had been before. But it was not done with that. A small round object began to grow from one of the branches. It turned bright red, growing larger and larger.
An apple!
Her tree asked if she was satisfied. Meixiang gave a nod as she reached for the apple. Fingers outstretched as she tried to grasp at it.
A memory came flooding back. A feeling of heavy regrets as she stared at a marking on her thigh. Why had she done this? Was it for the right reasons or only because of her? She was unsure. The woman had a hold on her like no other. Most would of just called it a fleeting fancy, but now she had taken a large step. Made a drastic change for her.
Was it the right thing?
Meixiang's fingers slipped around the apple.
