You feel her eyes upon your first, staring down upon you, wide and open with wonder and happiness. You can tell she's happy to see you, simply because you are you. She says nothing at first, and in turn neither do you and a long silence stretches out until you finally break it with a greeting.

She finally greets back with a happy and soft, "hello," and she continues to stare with fondness. "You have been finding many things, yes?" The short Goddess questions, seeming to get right to the point of why you felt her calling. She seems to hesitate for a moment, you can tell in her eyes, "I don't normally ask this," she pauses, considering her next words carefully, "but can you bring me something? Something you like? I'd like to see what you think is special to you. I like…. things…" She brightens a little at the prospect, even leaning towards you a little more.

And then her hands shoots out, not another word from her is uttered as you look to where she is pointing. There is a door and without words you know that what you should find is there.

--

You find yourself in a room, if one could really call it that. For all you know, it could very well be a pit. There seems to be no flooring in sight, every inch covered with random objects, haphazardly thrown around and stacked up upon one another creating its own new floor. Walking into the room gives you an array of sounds, squishing, twinkling, hard sounds, soft sounds and even - hopefully she didn't hear that - the sound of something breaking. And although everything is chaotic on the floor, you can only feel around you the love that each and every item has.

Upon the shelves seem to be more of prized possessions, they are on the shelves of course and under clear display boxes. Kept safe, preserved with the memories they all hold. There are many, some mundane such as rocks, a shoe and a dirty ribbon; some bizarre such as half a finger, a bar of soap and what looks like piece of an old tire. Others look like actual things people wouldn't mind displaying, some pretty hand drawn cards (one in particular red with a golden heart), a handmade bracelet made out of white wood and a bouquet of dried flowers.

Among these you find, out of their display cases (perhaps for a clean or someone else's negligence)…

A Lui Hai and the Three Legged Toad coin

The coin is relatively light, small and the metal dulled with time but still preserved are the intricate detailing on either side that surround the hole within its middle. The hole, in turn, made it easier to wrap a simple red cording through it though you notice it is much too short to serve the purpose of a necklace. Perhaps it served as another sort of accessory charm elsewhere. You continue to flip it around, wondering its purpose until suddenly all around, things are different. Gone is the clutter of the room, replaced with serenity, bridges and ponds with koi with swimming about among lily pads. You smile, your eyes seem to widen at its splendor and still in your hand is this coin. You recall that you had traded another item for the off-chance at this item; not knowing what sort of new charm would await you the next day for your bargaining.

But you got the coin, and you can feel a rather nice feeling drift off from it. Like it was going to help you in these trials some way (there were more before that brought you to this point, but those weren't as important as for now). Each bridge you cross brings something new, something different. You're asked to look firstly for a beading needle in a haystack, following a literal idiom but your luck doesn't seem to shine true with this task. Your luck hasn't seemed to find you yet as your search goes unwell and your hair is covered in bit os straw.

The next bridge greets you with a different challenge, so simple in a simple guess as the clansmen holds his hands behind his back. You find yourself fortunate to chose the right one as he opens his palm revealing the bell. (Yes, that was it). But you actually find yourself pessimistic after the next challenge upon a new island; your search through small panes of thin paper goes terribly unwell and the box that held it melts before your eyes.

You move on with your two failures, the odds not in your favor. There are two clansmen to meet you and a large board with pegs. After a demonstration, you know what to do; hold a disk at the top and simply let it fall into a spot at the bottom. So, you try your luck at the peg game, once, twice and three times you play this game while the old crone watching simply smiles.

"Well done," she tells you softly, "you have passed and may move to the end of the course. You are done."

You blink, "I have one more though…"

"For your success at this game, you are able to finish a little early."

"Oh..." You blink again, eyes brightening from the idea. Who are you to argue with that? "Th-thank you..." You add in with a stiff bow and make your way to the end.

Your fingers find their way into your pocket where you had placed the charm, letting your fingers graze against the sides of it. Would you be allowed to keep it? You wonder. It had actually brought you luck. Not in the beginning but at least in the end. It had found you at last.

Your thumb still slides against it and at last you find yourself amongst the collection of odds and ends, putting the coin back in its spot (will you even replace the cover?) you know what you must do.

OOC: your quest if you choose to accept

Somewhere in this room of endless clutter is an item that has brought you luck, both great and small. It matters not the lengths of the deeds it has helped you with but as you find it, as you hold it you remember a time when you found your luck turn for the better. When this item earned its place to be by your side forever. Write a memory of what this item means to you.

Perhaps the Goddess would like this, even though it pains you that there is a possibility you might have to part with it; you have with so much already before. But you know at least, you could earn something greater from your sacrifice.

A silver clip

The barrette is simple. A silver metal for the bands that held it in place, and a single pure white string fell from one end holding a single rounded bell that matched the clip. As well, winding around the string were thing chains of silver which ended at the end with the bell. You shake it a little, letting it chime once.

You hear it again, only to realize that it did not come from this little clip. And as you look up, it came from another, attached to a man you have been conversing for a short while. Idly chatting about mundane things like wares, the weather and the state of your Kingdom - which you supplied nothing but gossip for. Nothing remarkable, and perhaps even less words that most of the others around you.

But you are quiet by nature after all, mousey in your little booth of handcrafted attire and accessories. Which have been digging through, hoping to make a sale with this man, whom you don't even know the name of. He plans to travel to Edric, the kingdom of Pride. A land of ornate, gold and richness. And not simply anything will do. You can understand, you are all ambassadors of the Silver Kingdom and must do you best to impress; something you can hope to do as well, if only you can get to the board to make your selection.

"Oh." You state suddenly, your arms dart to the side of the table as if something catches your attention. You dig for a moment, carefully peeling away lays of cloth of various means until you find what you were looking for. It is a simple strip of cloth, probably more unconventional as a sash given its weight - as it had apparently been an old curtain. But it is a soft gold with orange accents embroidered in what looks like flower petals and soft hints of blue bears throughout. But it is what you have in mind.

"Would this work?" You ask, holding it up.

He raises a brow, "Perhaps," and reaches out to lightly lift a bit of the fabric a moment. He's questioning it, you can tell as he continued to look it over, examining the stitching to ensure everything seems to be in place, looking for potential weaknesses. "Certainly the closest to what I've been looking for today," he adds.

This inspection wasn't unusual, but at least you have gotten some positive feedback; thankfully as most of the work was not your own doing, but hopefully it has passed enough to make a deal. "Close," you repair with a nod, brushing your hand against the fabric. That was at least a good response.

"It has a good length on it, so it can be worn in a variety of ways." Options were good, especially in a new kingdom.

"To adapt to their current style of course," he replied, his look is knowing. Perhaps he has used similar words to seal a deal before. Hopefully he doesn't resent her for it. He then lifts it, considers it further now knowing the weight of it. "It's suitable enough… do you have a price in mind?"

You kind of know what you could get for it, those curtains had been rather expensive when you took them in. But, this had been in her inventory for a time now and well, it wasn't like it was the whole curtain anymore. But still. "Not too high," you simply tell him. "What would you want to offer for it?"

come to think of it, you have no idea what he even sold or made. His appearance doesn't really scream out his profession. Robes? Jewels, Bells? Did he just barter everything?

He looks to consider for a moment, "Do people overlook you due to your small voice? Perhaps something to draw slight attention?" He sakes, reaching into a pocket to retrieve a small item. He unwraps it from a smooth gray cloth to reveal a small barrette. (You're leaning now, no way to hide that) A silver metal for the bands that held it in place, and a single pure white string fell from one end holding a single rounded bell that matched the clip. As well, winding around the string were thing chains of silver which ended at the end with the bell. You shake it a little, letting it chime once.

"Suck colors would compliment your eyes well, and still shine bright with the brilliance of our fair land?"

You try to hide the awe over the item, its far superior than anything you could even dream to make; not with your humble selection of clothing. "I'm unsure if this is a fair trade," you find yourself whispering. You want to kick yourself for the rookie mindset but you don't feel worthy of such a beautiful item. But you want it, you really want it.

He looks concerned. "Well, it is certainly one of a king, and the metal is truly silver. So a precious thing. Though, if such is not to your taste…" he trails off. "Though… before you decide a mirror perhaps if you have one? I think it would suit you. Shall we see?" He looks to be putting it away but your hand shoots out, resting on top of his.

"I meant yours to mind." You correct yourself, "I'd feel bad, for just my one item. So, maybe you could choose another as well?"

"If something pleases me, but if nothing else, there is little need," he tells her.

The sale could have been done, then and there. But you feel the ground vibrate beneath your feet, the bell chiming loudly. Miasma escapes from various points, shrouding everything. Chaos. But through it, along with the clip in hand you feel a large protective one grab hold, dragging you along. Trying to keep you safe.

"Run," he says….

The crowd gathers around you, the miasma spreading around. It fills your vision and then it parts. You are back in the room, and now you know what you must find.

OOC: your quest if you choose to accept

Somewhere in this room of endless clutter is an item that reminds you of a start of a friendship, or any relationship really. Just one that is dear to your heart. Was there an item involved in the actual first encounter? Or maybe you find an item that simply reminds you of them and the start of this endless bond. Write a memory as to why the item was important to you and how it came to be.

Either way, perhaps the Goddess would like this, even though it pains you that there is a possibility you might have to part with it; you have with so much already before. But you know at least, you could earn something greater from your sacrifice.

A colorful feather boa.

Certainty not the most… profound item of the three. But the colors of the boa catch your attention along with the novelty of it. The condition of it is good, as it doesn't seem have been haphazardly thrown into a corner like most people would have. You take it in your hands, letting your fingers brush across the feathers until you hold it up and wrap it around your neck.

Your vision spins and soon your ears are filled with jamming' beats and several conversations going on at once. You are simply watching it all onto of a few pillows that have been situated throughout the room. Everyone is in pajamas, looking to be having fun with one another - and you are apparently trying to gather more as you look at the phone in your hands.

"HALLO WHO WANTS TEH PLAYS DRESS UP-" someone shouts, sort of like a battle cry and suddenly you are hit with a flourish of limbs and accessories, toppling you over and crashing into the ground. Your first instinct it to pull into yourself (and protect your phone, you are still waiting for replies!) and just brace for impact (there are pillows, right? Or maybe just the feather boas will do).

Down you go, with the smallest of 'eels.' Didn't even have much time or even room to flail with all that was attached to the other ghoul. Somehow you manage to acquire one of those hats though.

Another ghoul asks if you're okay, she seems to be flailing. "I'm fine," you still reply, muffled by the pillows and odds and ends of the one on top of her. (Your phone also went off, you can't even get to it. Your replies!)

"ACH! I AM SO SORREEEEEEE!" The girl seems to scream, detangling herself from you. She picks you up and hugs you with violent force, bouncing you. You don't protest, as you're swung like a ragdoll in her arms. "It's alright."

"Are yeh okays? Look atchyeh so cute and small, I am so sorry I smacks inteh yeh! My name is Freya. I will makes it up teh yeh when I cans, okays? Here!" She unwraps one of her feather boas, only to place it around your neck. Your fingers brush against it as you slightly sway from your suddenly release - another has caught her attention.

You didn't mind any of it. It was a hug after all, it was nice even if very.. forceful. And you got a feather boa out of it too as you finally give her your name --

Looking down at your new accessory, you feel the warmth of the party start to fade along with the sounds all around you. Silence comes back to you and you are once again in the room. And now you know what kind of item you must find.

OOC: your quest if you choose to accept

Somewhere in this room of endless clutter is an item of complete randomness, that you were given through random happenstance or found by accident. Maybe even a joke, or a random gift for no occasion at all. It might not even hold any meaning, simply that you thought it was interesting and decided to keep it for yourself. Write a memory in reflection to the importance the item holds and why you were given it.

Perhaps the Goddess would even like this, even though it pains you that there is a possibility you might have to part with it; you have with so much already before. But you know at least, you could earn something greater from your sacrifice.

--

All attention is upon you once more as you enter back into the room, the Goddess is waiting and she looks a little more eager, trying to pull back restraint. Her glow seems happy, her eyes wide and hopeful but she waits for you to draw near and yet she doesn't say anything at first. Just like last time.

You hold the item out to her and oddly its not snatched out of your hand as you might have thought, instead her two darkened hands wrap around yours, looking at the item as you continue to present it to her. As if she's feeling it out through you, trying to see how much it means to you from your touch. "I love it," she seems to whisper, gently releasing it from your grip along with the memory that had been found along with it.

She cradles it to her chest, against her glowing yellow heart. You can tell she cherishes it. Whatever it was.

You seem happy at least for what you have done and know there was something you once treasured deeply.

Despite herself, Xiu found that she was rather nervous in the Goddess', though she managed a small, polite smile. She replied to the greeting with a soft one of her own, only to perk up curiously at the beginnings of a request. What was it that the Goddess wanted from her? ...Something that was special to her?

The baku jumped a little when her hand suddenly shot forward, flinching as if she expected to be hit. However, upon realizing that she was, in fact, pointing, the ghoul slowly relaxed. Turning to eye the door, she nodded to show that she understood and proceeded through it.

What was found was...not what she had been expecting. There were objects strewn everywhere, and it seemed impossible for her to even enter without having to kick things out of the way lest she step on them. Lips twisting into a grimace, she tried to tread as lightly as possible, cringing and the sounds of things cracking and squeaking beneath her feet. Hopefully she wasn't walking over anything particularly important...

She eyed the shelves with interest, but there was one thing in particular that caught her attention. Moving forward to pick up the silver clip, she picked it up, turning it over in her hands. It seemed simple enough, but--...wait, was that soft chiming noise just now not from this clip? Xiu glanced up in time to see that it was a different one, one that was in the possession of a man who she had been chatting with for a little while now.

She was trying to find something that would suit his tastes, offering up a colorful strip of cloth which he seemed to like, albeit hesitantly. However, it seemed to be going well, and she was about to make a sale when the man seemed to abruptly switch the topic, retrieving a silver clip--the silver clip--from his pocket and offering it to her.

And just as she accepted it, things suddenly began to shift. Before long, Xiu found herself back in the room with a good idea of what she was supposed to seek out. It didn't take long until she found it: an old, dusty camera. It wasn't anything special, but it was near and dear to her heart.

She had always been a rather skittish ghoul, and upon enrolling in Amityville just before the first annual prom, Xiu had been about ten times more jumpy than usual. Just how was she supposed to deal with a crowd of students when she could hardly stand having a conversation with three people at a time?

She wasn't sure what it was that had possessed her to bring the camera to prom--she had just had a passing thought that it would be nice to take pictures of the few friends she had managed to make--but upon arriving, she found that having the item with her made her feel more...confident, somehow. Maybe it was because it felt like she had a security blanket to hide behind in case she needed it, but she found that she was more willing than usual to approach people and greet them, if only so that she could snap a few memories of her first prom.

And although she had only really had two friends before the dance, she had managed to acquaint herself with a number of others during the event, many of whom soon became very dear to her. Mitsu, Shun, Levi...she couldn't help but wonder if she would have been quite as eager or forward that night has she not had the camera to use as an excuse to approach people.

But as much as she loved this camera for helping her start up some of the most important friendships in her years at Amity, the Goddess had requested it from her. After a moment of hesitation, the ghoul sighed, clutching it to her chest and wading out of the mess so that she could deliver it as asked.

Her reaction to the offering surprised the ghoul, and Xiu found her eyes widening slightly as she looked up at her. Suddenly embarrassed, she averted her gaze and gave a little bob of her head. "I...I'm glad. Please take good care of it."

And then she handed it over, and the memory along with it.

Rep paused and stared at the goddess as she stared back at him, until the awkwardness was broken with a greeting. He raised a brow at her request, hesitant to trust her, but at the same time, what harm could it do? He'd simply go and get her something important, show her it and leave. He could hardly remember what objects were important to him any longer, he'd lost so much in this strange world already.

He wandered into the room carefully, picking his way through the innumerable objects - somehow he felt at home here - even the junk seemed to play a part in the grand accumulation of things, sweeping chaos underfoot. He paused before the shelves and display boxes, peering at them thoughtfully.

He stooped to pick up the barrette and eyed it, shaking it to chime the tiny bell.

And the world altered.

He found himself in a memory that surely was not his own. Gifted and saved from chaos. And when he returned he remembered something, remembered something important to him.

He made his way through the room looking, carefully picking through the scattered objects for that splash of colour. He found it under some stuffed toys and picked it up. It was a t-shirt, rainbow tie dyed and on the smaller range of size, not quite too small for him but certainly not loose. He held it up and eyed it before burying his nose against it and inhaling deeply. It still smelled like them. Like him. Clean and safe and wonderful. It was important and to hold it in his hands again made him ache with unfathomable longing.

In a single lithe movement he sat up enough to reach down and tug the shirt up all the way and off, holding it in his fingertips and draping his hand over the side of the bunk before it was idly dropped to the floor.

He held it to his chest. He didn't know if he wanted to give her it. It was important.

But with goddesses, you had no choice. He returned, pained and worn

And he forgot it.

Someone was staring at him; he turned to face the Goddess. Wilson’s eyes widened briefly before returning to normal, and while he said nothing, he half-nodded to acknowledge her presence. Unlike some of the other Goddesses, she seemed genuinely happen to see him, and unlike his own Goddess, held calm joy.

Lips stretched into a dimpled grin. “I have,” he admitted, and he had made a variety of weapons with his items, too. What was he going to do with them all? Wilson still didn’t know. Hesitation dotted her expression, and he tilted his head curiously, waiting for her to keep speaking. Finally, she admitted that she wanted him to bring her something. Something? Anything at all? He found the request simple and odd, but certainly doable. “Sure.”

She pointed, and he followed her finger to a door that led to a room filled with a myriad of gadgets and gizmos. At least, it looked like a room to him. Every single inch was covered in objects, even when he looked down Wilson failed to see a floor. Frowning, he tried his best to be careful while he walked. Multiple trinkets covered the shelves and ground. Some were typical—like toys or books—others were obscure—like ribbons or scraps of paper—some were even bizarre. But still he kept looking because nothing he saw appealed to him. Until he saw a colored feather boa. Baffled, he picked it up and found himself in the owner’s memory.

Wilson winced when an accented female voice shouted loudly. Suddenly he was pelted with limbs and accessories. He fell. The same voice screamed an apology, causing him to wince once more as she enveloped him in a hug. He dropped the boa.

Somewhere in the corner of his vision he could see it. A Rubik’s cube. He still couldn’t understand why he had taken it with him before he left for the island. It had been lying innocently on the top shelf of his closet. The colored patches had caught his attention and on a whim he had swiped it and deposited it into his back for safekeeping. He hadn’t known how important it was now.

He lay curled up in bed, bones breaking and heart aching. She was gone. She was gone. He had failed. Pain. Agony. Sadness. Grief. Hands clutched his head tightly, nails digging into his skull while he fought the urge to scream and sob. But as he opened his eyes, he noticed the Rubik’s cube. A trembling hand reached for it and at first he held it close to his chest. His eyes were closed again, but his hands were already shifting the squares into place. He had already memorized the layout and calculated the appropriate formula. The click-click of the cubes shifting were calming.

When he walked out, he found the Goddess looking quite eager. Wilson smiled softly. He held the cube out to her and she took it slowly, with both hands. She took her precious time, examining with care. As the weight disappeared from his hands, his smile wavered slightly. “I’m glad.”

Someone was staring, and it was a Goddess. Taiki turned his head at first, but once he realized who the person was he smiled politely and fully faced her. “Hello,” he greeted with a nod. “Indeed I have.” He folded his hands together, standing straight as he waited patiently for the young woman to jump to the point. The corners of his mouth tugged into a smile. “I will see what I can do, but I am sure that this is possible,” he answered with a tiny bow. She gestured with one arm toward a door. There wasn’t much else that needed to be said. Taiki nodded and entered what appeared to be a room covered head to toe with objects. The clutter startled him, but the sheer variety and uniqueness of the contents instantly pulled his attention in.

He could have immersed himself in examining the items, but there were simply too much for him to take in. What Taiki needed to focus on right now was finding an item he could present to the Goddess. Curiosity and confusion caused the skeleton boil to pick up a coin, and suddenly he found himself in a memory.

He observed the details carved into it, but after a while took to simply flipping it around while he passed over bridges. He remembered trading something for this item, on the off chance that something would happen. Just looking at the coin brought an unusual smile to face, as if it would somehow bring him some luck today. Each bridge he took brought him something different, ranging from finding needles to playing a game. He cocked his head, but picked the hand with the bell. A victorious grin. The search for the box, however, hadn’t gone so well.

Sour, he crossed the next bridge and found a game waiting for him. He played it once, twice, three times and the clanswoman smiled. He grinned, taking out the coin from his pocket.

Taiki put the coin back, a clear object now in his mind. He searched through a bookshelf to pull out a worn copy of Hakkenden. It was an old tale crafted by humans, but interesting nonetheless.

A smile melted off his face as soon as he entered his bedroom. He held a hand to his puffed up cheek, but winced when he ran pressure over a dark bruise. Taiki sucked in his breath as he sat down on his bed and flopped backwards. Looking toward the side, he spotted a book and reached for it. Hakkenden. He flipped to the first page and began to read. A smile appeared as he read. Calmly he turned to the next page, the pain easing away with each flip. Things would be okay.

The skeleton held the book out toward the Goddess and she took it carefully, looking it over before she decided she loved it. He smiled, and still smiled when she took it from his hands.

Alecto stared up at the Goddess as the Goddess stared down at her. One ear flicked curiously as she noticed the Goddess’ rather happy expression. “Yesyes?” Upon hearing the inquiry, she nodded her head vigorously. “Yesyes! I have! I made a shiny with them,” she replied. More nodding from the puppy. “I wouldwould be happy to. Moremore things are always goodgood!” Excited and practically bouncing in place, the Goddess directed her toward a door and she skipped through it, entering a room cluttered with items and trinkets.

So cluttered in fact, that she tripped over rope and fell down head first. Alecto yelped and then whined, claws delicately rubbing her head and face with care as she sat up. Her tail wrapped around her leg slightly before she moved to stand back on her feet. The dog pouted, her face now tinted a light shade of red, but continued her search through the room. Claws lightly ran over the display cases, creating a squeaky hum that continued until she fell upon a silver clip. Intrigued, she took it.

She found herself decked in gold and in a land completely foreign to her. Wide, blinking eyes stared at the man in front of her before slowly jumping back into the conversation. Carefully, she drew out a length of cloth and offered it to him, who seemed rather pleased with it and offered her a clip in return.

“Run.”

Everything turned black until she found herself back in the room. The memory confused her, but at least now she knew what she had to search for, which didn’t take her long actually. She could even smell Percy’s scent on the necklace as she delicately picked it off the floor with two claws.

The glimmer of the charm caught her attention. Any light caught her attention when the ashy clouds constantly covered the area. Mouth open, she reached for it, but whined when it was suddenly pulled out of her reach.

Percy snickered, feline tail flicking as he eyed the hellhound. “What’s this I see?” he wondered aloud, grinning as he continually pulled the necklace out of Alecto’s reach.

“I wantwant to see it! Pleaseplease!” Her lower lip jutted out, golden eyes trained on the flame charm that changed colors just so in the dim light.

“Tell you what.” A grin. “If you tell me your name, ghoulie, I’ll /give/ it to you.”

Stars lit up her eyes. “Alecto!”

The flame charm spun in the air slowly. Her eyelids lowered as she stared at the necklace a while more before finally presenting it to the Goddess with a wagging tail. “Herehere!” The Goddess examined it at first, then gingerly took it from Alecto. The eagerness flickered, her expression switching between happiness and confusion before finally setting on happiness. “Nono problem!”

The Goddess was staring at her. She looked away, scowling. “What?” Alaska supposed it was nice to see her happy, but she didn’t exactly crave for the girl’s attention. She just wanted to be on her happy way, thank you very much. “Yeah I do, so what about it?” She narrowed her eyes at the Goddess, and when she finally got to the point she sighed. “Fine.” She didn’t think she had much of a choice, so with slumped shoulders she followed her pointed finger to the door and opened it. “…” It was absolutely filthy, with items littered around the floor. At the very least the items on the shelves were neatly placed in display cases. Alaska could thank her lucky stars for at least that.

Without a care, she stepped into the room and roughly kicked away a pile of plush toys. An absolutely mess. It was horrible, and the Goddess expected her to find a suitable item here? At least Alaska could completely ignore the floor and focus on the shelves. There was no way she would sift through the fallen junk. She didn’t put a lot of thought into it when she plucked out the silver clip.

And suddenly she found herself in a kingdom draped in silver. She narrowed her eyes at the man that spoke of a gold kingdom. Kingdoms? Alaska forced herself through the memory, taking out the sheet of cloth to present to the stranger, who seemed to be rather fond of the design and versatile length. He took out a clip that she admired. Funny how people were so willing to trade away things despite the difference in value. Reluctantly, she seemed to take the clip just as he warned her to run. She looked up at the approaching miasma, and everything turned black.

But now she had a better idea of what item she wanted to pick out. How she had gotten the idea, she didn’t know. Alaska just did.

It was surprisingly easy to find. The sketch was stuck to one of the display cases. Carefully, Alaska peeled it off the glass and admired it—such a perfect imitation of her first love. Her harsh gaze softened into bittersweet nostalgia.

Silence in the library. While Kira was still finishing up his side of the project, Alaska opted to take out her sketchbook and practice. She couldn’t understand why she did it, but as she drew the outline for a head, she found herself adding features that looked more and more like the boy in front of her. Upon realization, her face flushed red and she slammed the book closed with startling ferocity.

The blond looked up at her with wide eyes. “Is something wrong?”

She scowled and looked away, one hand covering have her warm face. “N-Nothing.”

When she came to, Alaska noticed that the Goddess was restraining herself. She sighed and quickly held out the drawing to her. “Here.” Her touch was surprisingly delicate, lingering on the object to take in its full beauty before finally pulling it out of her hands.

Alaska paused.

Ah, it was the goddess again! Poke felt a little weird as the other stared down at her happily, not forgetting how this very same goddess had asked her to sacrifice her heart. Now she just looked on with happiness, leaving the dragon to feel rather awkward.

"H-hey..." She scratched the back of her head, nodding when she was asked a question. She had found plenty of wondrous things. Things that she cherished greatly. (like her bow. Her bow was bad a** yo). The goddess then asked her to find her something she liked. Poke blinked at the question, noticing how the goddess leaned in further. "Ah...sure..." She could do that.

When indicated, she walked towards a door and opened it up, startled to see a room filled with items of varying kinds. She nearly crooned at the things she saw; some seemed extremely rare, while others she could tell had a sentimental value. It was like looking at a hoard of treasure gathered by many different types of dragons; she knew that some dragons could covert the most weirdest things (hell, she went through a bottle cap phase when she was a hatchling)

She ended up spying a few items that were not in display cases, and she felt drawn towards the small coin that was there. It's shiny surface and intricate carvings were amazing to see.

And then she wasn't in the cluttered room. She was on a bridge instead, overlooking a small pond filled with fish swimming lazily about. She recalled having traded for this coin, in the hopes of finding something even more rare.

Poke was then called to find something else, and she stared for a while at the request. A needle in a haystack. Seriously? Grumbling to herself she had searched through the hole thing and came back empty handed. Her next trail had her lucky, guessing the right hand for which the bell hid, but the one after that was a dismal failure. Eventually she found the two clansman, and playing a odd peg game a few times.

Evidently, this was enough to please the crone, for she let her off early. It was a stroke of luck on her part, and it reminded her of something-

It was a simple pebble. Everyone else thought it wasn't worth anything, but Poke knew it was lucky! It had only been for a while, but she had carried the pebble with her everywhere as she searched the shorelines for more treasure she could claim as her own. Most of the time she found nothing, only crabs and driftwood and other useless items. But just when she thought she wouldn't find anything, something shiny caught her eye. She ran over to it, and found it was a silver pumpkin seed.

She then kept that pebble in her lair, hoping it would bring her more luck when she ventured out to come the beach once more

Poke then found herself back in the cluttered room, and went back to the goddess to hand the coin over. Instead of taking it she held her hands, and like before she was unable to recall her memory, but at least the goddess seemed to treasure it greatly.

From an unfamiliar beach to the Goddess of Paranoia. Great job, feet.

He can feel her eyes was staring down at him, wide and open with wonder and happiness. He can also tell she's happy to see him, simply because...well, I am me?

She says nothing at first, and in turn neither did Rei and a long silence stretches out...

"Ah. Good day, Goddess of Paranoia. What are you doing here? Did you get...lost? No, it's impossible-"

She finally greets back with a happy and soft, "hello," and she continues to stare with fondness. "You have been finding many things, yes?" The short Goddess questions, seeming to get right to the point of why he felt her calling.

"If you can say so...then the answer is yes?" Replied Rei in uncertainty.

She seems to hesitate for a moment, he can tell it in her eyes, "I don't normally ask this," she pauses, considering her next words carefully, "-but can you bring me something? Something you like? I'd like to see what you think is special to you. I like…. things…" She brightens a little at the prospect, even leaning towards him a little more.

Rei's nonexist heart jumped a little at that gesture. He can feel sparks forming on his face---an equal act to blushing in normal human.

And then her hands shoots out, not another word from her is uttered as Rei followed to where she is pointing. There is a door and without words he knows that what he should find lies there.

It was a room. A messy storeroom.
There's many kind of junk as well as goods piled together. Pieces of old tires was resting against an ivory pedestal. A gold chalice was placed upon some kind of rusted can.

It's a hodgepodge of everything.

In the midst of all that, Rei founds a small, silver clip. Its color somehow familiar to him...no. the other 'him'. The other 'Rei' from the Silver Kingdom.

Then he realized. All of this things are familiar to him.
This was Black Kindgom's dumps? Where items brought by the shadow holes was collected?

The items which traveled through the hole was items forgotten by its owner.

So in that case, would 'that' be here also?

He dug into the dumps, searching for something...

Yes.
Here it is.
His necklace. 'Rei the Information Broker's' necklace.
Given to him by his childhood friend Elli, it was bought with her first profit upon opening a new shop.

Showed to Arnyek the Jewel-crafter when they first met, which made her wanted to travel to the Red Kingdom of Dreams.

The only thing that never leave 'his' side all times, until 'his' death.

Would the Goddess like this?
A slight pain pierces his heart. If she did...must he part with it?

---

"I have returned, my Goddess." He said as he exited the dimensional tear.

All of her attention is upon him once more, the Goddess is waiting and she looks a little more eager, trying to pull back restraint. Her glow seems happy, her eyes wide and hopeful but she waits for you to draw near and yet she doesn't say anything at first.

Just like last time, Rei smiled inwardly. She's just like a puppy---wait, it was very rude, wasn't it?

"Here is the thing you asked me to retrieve. Does it suit your tastes?" He presented the necklace on his palm and oddly it was not snatched as he have thought.

She placed her hands around Rei's palm, looking at the item as he froze in place. As if she's feeling it out through him, trying to see how much it means to him from his reluctanty to let it go---

"I love it," she seems to whisper, gently taking the necklace from his grip along with the memory that had been found along with it.

"Hmm? What are I'm doing here...? Goddess of Paranoia? What are you doing..."

She cradles something to her chest, against her glowing yellow heart. He can tell how she cherishes it. Whatever it was.

"Oh, then I'll excuse myself. I didn't want to disturb you-" "-wait."

She called him back, putting her hand on her chest and took out a small orb of light.

"...for me?" He asked. The Goddess nodded.
"Because you are willing to part. To move to another. To let go. This is for you." She said, putting the small Blessing unto my hand and closed it.

I can feel a new 'something' awoke in my body. This is a rather...how to put it? Nostalgic, yes.

"Did you resent us? For making you sacrifice your own 'heart'?" Asked the Goddess again when Rei turned to leave.

"No."
After pondering for a bit, he answered with a smile. "You three has protected us. Gave us chance that we have passed. And..."

He stopped for a bit, choosing his words. "-this is only me, but...for me, living in a reality where I'm a beggar was better than living in illusion of paradise."

He walked away, leaving the Goddess and her pendant alone.

At the very goddamn least, this Goddess seemed like a nicer one.

She had been filled with such hatred from her last meeting with a Goddess that Marzena wanted to punch something, wanted to beat something up, wanted to even kill something, to let all her vengeance out. It took a few moments of deep breathing and meditation before she had calmed down, and this time, she actually offered this Goddess a small smile.

Bring her something? Sure, why not?

As long as it wasn't a let me kill you and fill you with such horrible emotion s**t of a task.

"I don't mind." She murmured softly, and the Goddess brightened, pointing her towards a door.

It was always with a door, wasn't it?

And a strange room it was. It sounded as though it belonged to a kids' toybox. Actually, it was sort of like a playroom, wasn't it? She couldn't quite recall the one back home, but she certainly had a lot of siblings, and therefore it probably was this messy as well.

Her finger brushed over the silver clip, and shook it, letting the bell chime.

No wait, it wasn't...

She was overwhelmed with a memory of a Silver Kingdom. Being ambassadors, and being content with a little booth with handicrafts, and the man whom the chime came from asked for something. She gives the man what he is looking for, and he gives her the clip in return.

Then suddenly, it fell apart, and Marzena was startled out of the vision.

It didn't take her very long to find what she needed.

A shell bracelet, a simple one that wasn't even made out of real shells like the one she remembered. It was strangely light in her hands and gaudily colorful, but--

"Before you go," He breathes, and then swallows back a lump in his throat. He shuffles about awkwardly, eyes cast downwards into the sand. The boy before her takes a huge breath, raising his blue eyes up to hers and forces a smile upon his face. "I want you to have this."

He rummages in his pockets and then a scarlet blush spreads slowly across his cheeks. "Oh. It's not in this one... where did I put it?"

He is starting to look sheepish, and she would laugh, like she always does, but she waits. She waits patiently, sack slung over her shoulder, watching him as he searches for whatever it is he wants to give her. He pats his pants all about with a concerted look upon his face, and suddenly lifts his head. "Ah!" He quirks an eyebrow mischievously. "I know where it is."

Before she can even say anything, his fingers dart behind her ear, and he waves a clenched fist in front of her very eyes. His fingers slowly uncurl, revealing a handmade bracelet, made out of shells. "Taa-dah!" The blond boy, Radek, her twin brother beams at her, and she laughs.

"How did you do that?"

"Shh." He presses the bracelet into her palm and then places a finger on his lips, accompanied by a roguish wink. "A magician never reveals his secrets."

Did... she have to...?

Marzena found her footsteps getting heavier as she trudged back to the Goddess. "Take care of this one. Please." Maybe it wasn't even the real thing, but it was definitely something she had cherished with all her heart.

The awkward silence was perhaps a little too much for Falair to handle. The Goddess stared at her. She stared back. Waiting for her to say something. Anything. Why had she been called here?

Did the Goddess want to have a staring match?

"Hello..........?" It was a tentative greeting but was met with a smile and a very happy greeting in return. The Goddess seemed to be perhaps a bit too happy to see her. Kind of creepy.

Oh. Well, it seemed she wanted something. Something that Falair liked? Well, Falair liked a lot of things. She was not surprised that the Goddess wanted something from her. They all wanted something or other. Her attention was soon pointed to the door and without hesitation she moved to it and stepped on through.

It was an odd room she entered. Was it a room at all? She couldn't tell. There was stuff everywhere, Falair was unsure if this room even had a floor or walls. A room within stuff how strange. She walked across, various sounds coming from each step. The mare really hoped that wasn't something breaking.

But what was strange is that she couldn't actually feel the objects, but an emotion that surrounded the objects. Love.

On the walls, or what she could assume were walls now, there were shelves. As she approached, Falair looked inside the clear display cases. Strange objects and not so strange objects were displayed here with loving care. Some of the objects made sense to display others nnnnneeeeeeeee not so much.

She noted that there were a few that weren't in display cases. Perhaps they were left out for cleaning at a late date. The silver clip drew her attention the most. Taking it, she let the strings attached to it dangle, a bell tinkling lightly. Falair gave it a shake to hear the noise again.

The memory that came was vivid, ending in panic and fear. When she found herself back in the room Falair knew what she needed to find now to please the Goddess.

Falair knelt among all the objects and began to dig. She knew what it was, it was here. Somewhere. She sat back on her heels, staring down at the ground in front of her. A simple clay pot lay in front of her. Her hands shook as she reached out for it, slender fingers brushing against it's cool, smooth surface. A tiny chip in it's lip but besides that it was whole.

She had left her lessons for the day. Falair ran through the streets, clutching a small clay pot in her hands. Ducking and dodging around the older clansmen who just stared at her oddly. Wondering why the little filly was in such a hurry.

Turning to give a quick greeting to someone she recognized, she turned around too late and ran straight into something hard and firm. Falling backwards from the impact, her pot went tumbling to the ground and shattered into pieces. "Oh no!" She cried, scrambling to her knees to stare hopelessly at the shattered pot. Mentor would be mad at her, the old mare seemed to treat Falair more harshly than all the other young fillies and colts. And now, now she had failed to keep even this simple little pot from breaking. She could just seem the old leather face now and her scowl.

"IAre you ok?" Falair looked up, her eyebrows furrowed at the voice of the older colt standing over her.

"You broke my pot and now I'm going to get in trouble!" She clenched her fists in the dirt, picking up a piece of the shattered pot and throwing it at his head.

He ducked, it wasn't a very good throw. "Oh, well, you can have this one if it would make you feel better?" The colt held out another clay pot, it was very plain and smooth. A small chip was on the lip but other than that it was still complete. "Look I gotta go, just take it ok?" He shoved it into her hands and took off running down the street, turning to wave as he called out. "Sorry for breaking your pot but you should really watch where you are going!" They ne was gone.

She sat there in the dirt, clutching the clay pot he had given her. What a strange boy....even still. Mentor would probably scold her for bringing a different pot back to class tomorrow. Falair sighed and began to pick up the shattered piece of her previous pot and placed them in the new one.

Falair grabbed the clay pot off the ground, holding it close to her chest. It was much smaller than she remembered it. She turned and walked back out the door. Perhaps this would appease the Goddess but it made her sad to give it up. It was something that started a bond between her and the colt.

She could feel the Goddesses attention on her now. Eyes lifting to look up at her Falair held it out for the Goddess to take. Dark hands wrapping around her's, she was a bit surprised that it wasn't taken from her immediately. The Goddess seemed to be gauging how much it meant to her, how much she cared for this object. But soon the clay pot was taken from her and the Goddess smiled happily while cradling it to her chest.

Falair wondered why the Goddess seemed so happy over that simple item she was holding. She wished she had something like that to treasure.

He felt a chill run up his spine, as if someone was... watching him. He turned, staring at one of the goddesses, feeling unnerved she was staring at him in such a way. What did she want? This lasted for some time, with the two just staring at each other, until he finally snapped.

"WHAT?"
Still staring.
He arched an eyebrow at her question. Finding... things? He frowned at her request, shifting back slightly as she leaned forward. It hadn't bothered him before, especially with the Goddess of Paranoia, but this time... this time, with more memories returning, he remembered that he himself wasn't fond of others invading his personal space. But... the desire to fulfill their request still lingered, and so he didn't utter another word, only flinching slightly as her hand shot out, pointing to where she'd like him to go. If anything, he'd be glad she wouldn't be staring at him anymore as he headed towards the door.

Among the debris (as he probably broke a thing or two... accidentally), he found a silver clip. Memories flooded him, not his own, but it brought some sense of familiarity. The Silver Kingdom? Kingdom of Pride? Why did these things sound so familiar? And then there was that trinket, and he knew it to be of immense value to the holder. They were about to reach out for it, but then...

There was a sharp gasp as the memory faded, and he sat, panting. He knew what he had to find. But would he even find something so specific in this debris? Still he tried, and then, he finally found it, catching a glimmer from the corner of his eye. A necklace. The string was simple, but the trinket at the end... was of great value. Whether it was pure gold or not, he didn't care.

Lowering her hand, she rested it on the gold cross around his neck.

"I'm glad to see it suits you... Jake Cross."

A shaky breath, as he remembered. It was not a gift from their first encounter, but a gift to signify their last. Yet even then, he never took it off. It was a reminder of everything, of their first encounter, their time together and even then, her very last breath. He dared not forget, never dared to take it off.

... but if that was so, why was it on the ground?
He reached around his neck, but some force repelled him, and he looked down. Around his neck wasn't the cross, but a lock. And even though he tried to take it off, he couldn't, let alone touch it. He still had a promise to fulfill. Only then would it come off. But then... did it mean that this necklace wasn't important anymore? Was this other promise already forgotten?

He returned, slightly dejected, and though he was hesitant in giving it up, a goddess' request was absolute.
Deny not the goddess.
Holding out the item, he looked away, not being able to bear seeing it take away, but then when it wasn't snatch up, and he felt her hands over his, he turned back to look at her, confused. Her smile was warm, and he barely noticed her taking it, cradling it to her chest.

He felt himself smile also, not noticing he had given up something precious.
He couldn't even remember what it was anymore.

Bix ran his fingers over the boa. When it came to the Goddesses now, he just let himself be led. He didn't have a chance to be surprised when he was pulled into a memory not his own. He felt it, heard it all. The warmth of the party. Inclusion. And then again he was taken away. This time into his own memory.

It was his first time in a golem. He was a petite yeti ghoul in a kimono. What did they call this? Florescetival. It was fun. He got to act like a girl and put on a fake voice. He got to walk around with monsters and demons and they didn't even know it was him!

There were games! And students running for school government. It was almost like real school but... well.. monsters.

"My name's Amrita." She was like a backwards zombie with an exposed eye socket. She was running for something, it was all hazy, but she gave him a lantern. It was white paper with blue fins and looked like a fish. It would look really good in his dorm back at the island. He had almost no decorations!

"Thank you.." he replied in a shyly put on falsetto. He'd kept that lantern always. It was still in his dorm. Delicate and decorative and... there..

He was back in the room. The lantern. Such a simple item. Would the Goddess even want such a thing? It was an ever present item of his life but nothing emotionally taxing.

He brought it to her none the less and she actually seemed happy.

"I love it."

The short goddess was her favorite so far, right next to the blue goddess. She liked the shortness, the warm welcome. That was how Ying thought a goddess ought to be. Kind and warm, welcoming to all people. Not mysterious and authoritative. Just ... kindness. The worlds needed more kindness.

"You have been finding many things, yes?"

"Oh yes ... Many things!" She smiled with the idea of sharing such tales with the goddess.

"I don't normally ask this, but can you bring me something? Something you like? I'd like to see what you think is special to you. I like…. things…"

"Things? What kind of things?"

The goddess didn't answer, merely pointed to a door. Was that where she was headed? By the goddesses' silence, Ying assumed she didn't have a choice in the matter. It seemed many things in this world were not her choice. She nodded. "I will do my best!" That was the most she could offer the goddess after all. Her best.

The room opened up before her and Ying gasped. It was filled with so many ... well... things! She never imagined there could even be that many things in this world. There were some on display, some thrown haphazardly (most thrown haphazardly). Where was she supposed to start? This place was huge!

Ying wandered through, seeing many objects like ribbons, shows, boas. If she had more time she would've waded through all of it, exploring every inch. But no, she had a task! A duty from the goddess herself.

Her eyes fell on a coin and a statue. Those were beautiful, beautiful objects.

When she looked up, she found herself in a strange land. There were courses she was going through ... some were hard, but others were easy. Some were difficult- ones she even failed, but others she passed without the blink of an eye.

An older lady was watching her. "Well done," she tells you softly, "you have passed and may move to the end of the course. You are done." Ying stared up in admiration. She had passed? Passed?

"I have one more though…" Where had the words come from?

"For your success at this game, you are able to finish a little early."

She left, thanking the woman and bowing slightly. The coin pulsed in her pocket. She was to keep it? It was hers?

Ying looked down at the coin, then back up. She was back at the room. Her eyes now caught onto a small comb.

"Little one, this is for you," the voice said.

"But Lifen! This is your comb, I couldn't possibly-"

"This is an important occasion. One must look perfect for a first date!"

Ying's cheeks turned bright red as she remembered the promise. "Oh ... yes ..."
