The Vicinitatem of Bliss Hollow Bliss Hollow
This is where the children live and spend most of their time. Rows of houses with trees and green lawns line up along the two streets of Bliss Hollow (Bliss Hollow Drive and Bliss Hollow Crescent). Many acts of childish mischief happen amongst these streets where the children of the magical tale once played.

Tri puffed out a quiet breath of air as he quietly closed the door to his house, free hand shoved in the pocket of his overalls. He took a moment to shuffle through his huge pockets, making sure he had everything -- a tiny set of bows he was determined to get on somebody's head, a granola bar, a comb and...

The boy furrowed his eyebrows before his face brightened up into a smile, pulling out his trusty handmirror. It was an incredibly ornate and decorated thing, something that shouldn't belong to a child -- not that Tri flashed it around often. As usual it was wrapped carefully in purple cloth, padded well enough that if he might drop it (he wouldn't, of course) it would be safe. Not that it wasn't sturdy enough anyways.

Aaaalright! Off we gooooo! With a hum Tri hopped off the porch, both hands now shoved into his pockets as he walked across his lawn and onto the sidewalk. He didn't have a particular destination in mind -- he figured he'd just walk around the neighborhood until he ran into somebody. If that didn't work, he'd just drag one of them out of their houses. It wasn't too hard to charm parents with his looks, after all.

Tri hummed a cheerful tune under his breath.

Raelene was perched in a tree outside of her house. She had taken to climbing it recently, as her parents couldn't see her inside of it. The best plan for tree-climbing was to conceal yourself, but to keep visibility in case anyone came knocking. This wasn't as good as the treehouse as the kids had built earlier that year, but it would suffice for now. Stretching a bit, she leaned back against the trunk. She glanced around the neighbourhood aimlessly... but then...

Catching notice of Tri, she waved quickly. He likely couldn't see her through the leaves, and that realization made her frown. She sighed, and slid off the tree, her landing on the softer side. She wasn't sure why, but dropping down from places never hurt her. All of her landings were soft. She readjusted her glasses on her head, and broke out into a run to go over to the boy wandering up the road.

"Tri! Hey, Tri!" She waved again, shouting at him impatiently, trying to catch up to him.

Max dug through the pantry. Where was the silly cocoa powder? She wanted to add a little extra chocolate to her super special awesome brownies. Her plan was to mix a few tablespoons of the powder with the granulated sugar, then adding a little bit of melted chocolate. That would make them really chocolatey, but that was okay. Max had a sweet tooth, and brownies were fun to make and easy to share.

Ooh, I should share some with Tri and Rae and everyone else once they're done! Max thought excitedly. It'd be fun! She hummed to the radio as it played a really catchy dance tune, doing a little jig as she found the cocoa powder and started dishing some out into the bowl with the sugar. It was quick and simple to mix, and as she reached for the melted chocolate, it occured to her she should throw in the eggs first.

Max skipped over to the fridge and opened it. Egg carton, egg carton, where was the egg - there it was! Oh, but when Max opened up the carton, she was disappointed. There was only one egg left, and she needed two.

No matter. The store wasn't too far. Or maybe one of her friends could lend her an egg instead. She hurried upstairs and (after extorting a few dollars from her mother) grabbed her jacket before running downstairs and out the door.

Hey! Raelene and Tri were already out and about. Maybe she could ask them for eggs now.
"Raelene! Tri! Heeeey, wait up! Do you guys have any eggs?" Max yelled as she ran, trying to catch up to them. Physical work was not her strong suit.

Nusuyi wandered around the streets, kicking her shoes along the ground through some piles of leaves. It was autumn now, and the piles of leaves made a pleasant rustling sound as she shuffled along, not thinking of anything in particular.
Actually, maybe I was. Was I out to do something? Why did I head out? She blinked in slight confusion, missing a step, tripping on a slightly misaligned piece of sidewalk and catching herself just before she fell by kicking her feet out quickly, sending a huge pile of leaves flying.
She stood rather blankly staring as the leaves settled.
"Oh."
She said this, as if she had realized something. She hadn't, actually, she just thought that she probably should have said 'oh'. As if, pretending to remember what she was doing might actually make the real memory pop up.
Nothing happened, her mind stayed a perfectly white impenetrable mass.

Nusuyi shrugged a little and glanced around, trying to take inspiration from her surroundings. There were a few younger kids running around, and one of them burst out of the front gate just a few steps down the path and ran accross to them, shouting about eggs.
Eggs...was that what I was out to get? She wondered as well, then shook her head. Her mother wasn't a fan of eggs. No, not eggs...I sure would like some apple turnover though... She tilted her head, fiddling in her pocket for any coins, then counting them in her hand.
Nope, not enough.
She altered her wandering path to intersect with the kids, planning to ask the well dressed little boy from down the road to loan her some money. Well, it looked like he had SOMETHING in his pockets, she could tell that from this far away. Continuing to shuffle along the sidewalk and kick leaves, she kept her green eyes trained on the little kids as she went towards them, actively trying not to forget what she was doing.

Tri paused at the sound of his name being called, pausing his walking at the sound of a mildly irritated voice. The boy blinked, tugging out one of his hands to wave at Rae. Well, that had been much easier than he had expected. He eyed her hair, intent darkening his orange eyes as the other hand tucked into his pocket tapped the bow kit.

"Yoo! Good morning, Rae!" Tri offered, giving a bright grin as the older girl ran towards him. He was about to ask her what she had been up to when there was another yell, making the boy's eye twitch slightly. The first thing his eyes had gone to was the hair -- mussed up just slightly -- which could only mean it was Max. Tri's face lit into a more friendly expression, and he gave a little confused tilt of his head. "Do people usually carry eggs around?" He questioned Rae, fishing through his pockets even though he was sure he didn't have an egg in them. He wasn't really allowed to touch any of the kitchen ingredients since the last incident.

Tri's eyes dragged over to the other person coming there way -- a familiar older girl, from the looks of it. The look in her eyes was mildly scary, and Tri couldn't help but take a step back even as his own eyes went to her hair. Something inside of Tri clicked, his eyes widening a bit as he stared at the girl's locks. He had found it. He had found the hair. Tri took a moment to sniff his clothing in case he had put on some weird girl-attracting perfume, hoping that if he did it would continue working. The boy flashed his brightest smile, waving Nusiyi over with another shout of 'good morning!'. He was sure Rae and Max would sort out their egg business -- Tri just had to get to that hair.

Raelene finally caught up to where Tri was on the sidewalk, a few houses down from her own. Turning around when she got there, she heard another familiar voice coming from up the road. She assumed it was Max, based on the question that followed. Eggs... I bet Mom has some in the fridge. She probably won't mind if Max borrows some... or if I steal them for her. A grin grew on her face, one that typically meant trouble. Rae had hated the move, and often spent her time trying to stir up trouble. This would be a start, and she would get some of Max's baking for it. Win-win. "People don't carry eggs around... but there are some in my mom's fridge! We can go get them, Tri, Max."

She had said, with an authoritative nod. Putting her sunglasses down, she caught notice of Nusiyi and grinned. Being the two older girls on the street, they had a bit of power over the others. Or at least, she thought so. Tri obviously noticed her too - his eyes were glued to her. "Nusiyi! C'mere! We have some eggs to get! Wanna come?"

I wonder what the others are up to or if their even up yet...Let's find out! After retrieving a bagel from her toaster and spreaded a generous amount of butter on it, Arlana exited her house only to run back into her room and grab her beautiful piece of a phone that she whined at her mother to buy for her. After exiting her house again, Arlana ran into the street to find the others. She heard Max yell across the street to Rae and Tri about eggs and smiled.

Arlana caught up to all of them and beamed at them.
"Hey! I heard Max yell about some eggs. What are you making Max?" Arlana had a piece of bagel in her mouth as she spoke that she chewed and swallowed eagerly in hopes to finish the bagel quickly.

She finished the last bite as Rae declared they were going to get some eggs from her house.

She glanced in the direction Rae and Tri were looking and spotted Nusiyi, the older girl, heading their way. This was turning out like a party! Hey, maybe Max could get some extra eggs and make a double batch and they could have a fun party at her house! Her mom was fairly open about that sort of thing, so Max was sure she wouldn't mind. "Nusiyiiiii! Hi!"

Max then spotted Arlana coming up to greet them. Max liked Arlana; she was really nice and sweet. "Hi Arlana! I'm gonna make some brownies- you know, the super super chocolatey ones? Except I'm missing an egg, so Rae said she could get one, but if I got more eggs I could make it a double batch!" Max explained pretty quickly. The neighborhood was pretty tight-knit, so most people on the block knew she was a really good cook and baker... most of the time, anyway. Her super chocolate brownies were one of her experiments that had turned out very well. Other experiments had not.

"Come with us, Arlana! You can try my brownies!" Max said cheerily. "Oh, and Nusiyi should come too! That might mean I'll have to make a double batch though. Hmmm."

Nusuyi seemed to lock eyes with the blonde kid for a second as he stared at her hair, and she opened her eyes wider at him. If one could give a wide-eyed glare, she did it just then. Most people missed those sorts of things, and mistook them for surprise or shock.
Finding it fruitless to try to be intimidating in order to get money because of her utter lack of conviction, her face lapsed back into blankness and she waved back at him, wandering over, still kicking leaves and taking her time.
"Morn..'..." She just decided to stop talking halfway through the word, but it ended up sounding like a slang word, and she was too lazy to finish it, so she left the syllable out there in the air to roam like a lonely cow, meandering along and eating grass unenthusiastically.

She blinked over at the girl with the scruffy hair who lived on the same street and called her name. But whats her name again? I can't remember....Oh well. I can avoid using names, I guess. She thought to herself with a flash of mild anxiety that quickly resolved itself.
Another young girl arrived at the group and she began to find herself more interested in the way the wind moved through the trees than the group- it was harder to get money out of people when they were together.
And effort was not something Nusuyi was very good at.
"You're getting eggs? Oh." She blinked as Max mentioned she might have to make a double batch. Cooking was annoying to do, and she wouldn't want to force anyone to do that- she wasn't even hungry either. Except maybe for pastry.
"Er. Nah. You don't have to cook a double batch, Maaaa...x..." She silently congratulated her brain for remembering the younger girls name before the sentence ended, and a smile snuck onto her lips for half a second.
"Do any of you have spare change?" She wondered aloud, not looking at anyone in particular, posture slumped and not intimidating at all.

Well now they had practically gathered a party. Tri lost sight of the purple haired girl -- now knowing her name to be Nusiyi, why on earth hadn't he met hai-her before?

Tri's eyes flashed over at Arlana for a second, and he flashed a sweet smile on her before his focus turned back to Nusiyi. Well more particularly her hair. He was only half paying attention to the sound of the other girls chattering, not really minding the prospect of going to the market. Tri usually went along with whatever the girls planned if he was by himself -- he didn't really care, as long as he got to play with one of the girl's hair by the end of it.

"Imighthavechange!" The ten year old eagerly jumped in almost as soon as the last word had fell from Nusiyi's mouth, eyes bright with what was either childish innocence or the thrill of the hunt.

"If you let me braid and put bows in your hair, I might have change." Tri clarified after a moment, punctuating the statement as he whipped out the shiny new kit of bows. Almost thoughtfully the boy pinned another warm smile after it, fluttering long blond eyelashes in the hope that it might make Nusiyi more willing to agree.

There was an obvious lack of logic in the two statements, but hopefully none of the other girls would point it out. Tri's eyes were already flicking from Nusiyi's lovely, beautiful hair to the bow kit, trying to find out which one would suit her best.

Arlana clapped loudly when Max mentioned her brownies and whispered so the rest of the neighborhood couldn't hear her. However her whisper was more like a normal talking voice to everyone else. "You're making your Super Super Chocolatey Brownies of Delicousness? Rae give her more eggs for a double batch!! I really, really want to try some!" Arlana grabbed Rae's hand and jumped up and down begging her with a please every time she jumped up.

When Nusiyi asked if anyone had change, Arlana stopped jumping and began to search her pockets for change. She frowned as she came across numerous gum wrappers and pieces of paper. Arlana hardly ever cleaned out the pockets of the black coat she was currently wearing because she usually wore her blue one which was currently in the washer or dryer at home due to her clumsily falling out of the tree she was climbing in the wet field after hearing a cat meow. Saying gibberish loudly Arlana's face lit up as she pulled out a silver coin:
                                            "I GOT A NICKEL."
Arlana realized Tri had whipped out his bows and was trying to get his little hands on Nusiyi's hair and she smiled slyly.
"Tri definitely has more money though! He's pretty rich!!"

It was that kind of morning. Riley had had her breakfast long ago and there wasn't much house work that she could do. Her father finished it all before he left for work earlier. The only think left to do was vacuum her brothers room, and the older boy was in it currently doing... whatever teenagers do. Riley really didn't want to disturb him. So Riley was nestled on the couch, watching a TV show which she wasn't quite interested in. She was actually beginning to drift off to sleep and would have continued if she hadn't heard the mumbled voices of the other children on the street. Well, most of them were mumbled except for Arlana's voice, which rang down the street like a bell.

Riley turned the TV off, stifled a yawn and went to one of the front rooms of her room to peer out a window. Sure enough, she could see the ragtag group of friends gathered down the road. Deciding that joining them would be much more pleasurable than staying inside, Riley went and collected some things (a bit of money from her own savings, a few band-aids just in case and a bag to put them in), slipped on some shoes and went through the front door.

Riley reached the group in no time at all.
"Hi, everyone," she said cheerily. "I'm not interrupting anything, am I?" She took notice of how some members of the group were searching their pockets for something. "What are you looking for? Should I be worried?"

Nusuyi was quite amused and a little sheepish when people began to look in their pockets for change. She'd only been wondering out loud, but now gave Arlana a soft smile. She was trying to avoid being targeted by the girls loud voice, or causing a fuss, but was pleased that at least something had been produced "It would be nice if you donated it to me." She sighed passively, looking at the coin with a slightly dreamy, vacant expression.
She didn't bother explaining what they were doing to Riley.
That was too much effort.
Upon the ....extremely loud exclamation from Arlana, Nusuyi quailed and took a little step backwards, turning her head towards the blonde kid.
His hair is so bright... She blinked to herself, finding it pleasing to look at, then she drifted out of her own mind, focusing on the bows and what he was trying to say.
"Oh. You?" She hesitated a little, which could have been skepticism, except that it was much more likely that she'd simply lost her train of thought. She looked back down at the bows, slowly, then back up at his smiling, grinning, eyelash fluttering face.
"How much... do you have?"
Her eyes glazed over just like the pastry she had in mind as she tried to calculate how much it was worth.

"Why would I wanna be anybody else but me
                                                    I'm never gonna fake it
Why would I ever be anybody else but me
I know I'm gonna make it"

Raelene sighed, a little overdramatically at Arlana's sudden appearance. The girl couldn't ever calm down. She always made a willing companion and sidekick, though. "Do you even have to ask, Arlana? I mean duh! Of course you can come!" She announced, loud enough for the group to hear. Upon hearing a compliment directed at her mom, Rae faked a smile. Her mother wasn't going to be asked, and she assumed that the group knew that by now. Flipping her glasses off of her head and onto her face, she nodded. "It's no problem, Max."

Nusiyi's question if anyone had change made her raise her eyebrow. From what she guessed, was that Nusiyi was so broke and her parents didn't give her an allowance. Biting her lip, she shook her head. Raelene rarely shared her money, as she always wanted to get new glasses, shirts, or assorted gadgets for the group to use. Typically used on glasses though. She wanted to start a collection. However, upon Tri's outburst, she broke out into a laugh and grinned. Just like Tri to be attracted to someone's hair... and pay them for wanting to play with it.

Looking at Arlana, she pulled her hand back nonchalantly. She hated when she did that.
"Uh, yeah, sure. How many do you need then, Max?" She asked, secretly wondering how many she could fit into her pockets. If I'm nabbing from the fridge when Mom is home... I'm gonna need help. Luckily I snuck out this morning. Arlana and Max might be able to knock on the door and I can sneak in around the back? That could work.

She was pulled out of her thoughts by Riley's arrival. Giving her a wave, she decided to let the others explain what was going on. She just wanted the eggs. Turning to Max and Arlana, she grinned. "I need your guys' help. That okay?"

"Without a doubt, I know what I'm about
I'm everything I'll ever want to be
A girl like me"
