 He decided to help out a little, though he was slightly concerned about the sheer size of the beast that swayed its heads above them. Still, Sparrow stepped forward, holding his weapon carefully.

Whatever this hydra was, it wasn't something Elium had seen before.
It went without saying that it made perfect sense to him to kill it before inspecting it. After all, if it was the only one of its kind, it would be better to put it down anyway.

She heard it, and it made her jump.
What was that sound? Nkosazana's eyes darted around, clutching tighter onto her Grief. She needed to get there, whatever it was. There was bound to be others like her in danger, and she couldn't have that when she had the ability to help defend.
She ran towards the call.
There were ... many heads. It was a daunting figure, and it nearly froze Nkosazana were she stood. This was ... a bigger enemy than she had seen before, and she had seen some interesting enemies in her time here already.
She gulped.

Goodness, she had amassed a rather large group to help her with this creature. Giving them all a little smile and wave, she went forward to hack away at this large creature a bit more, blanking a bit.

"Nasty" was certainly a word she could agree with. It was big, it looked dangerous, and it certainly was not going down as easily as some of the other things she had fought recently.
"It is definitely the biggest creature I've seen so far..."
She held her weapon a bit closer to her body, attempting to find a good place where she could strike the thing. It was ... huge. There was no real discernable spot where it might be more damagable than any other spot, so perhaps she needed to ... swing blindly, as much as she did not like the sound of that. What other choice did Nkosazana have with an enemy so daunting?
Standing her ground in an attempt to avoid the swings it kept throwing in their direction, Nkosazana didn't swing her weapon forward until she felt she was safe to move.
Unfortunately, the defensive maneuver did not work well for her.

Much to his not-very-well-internalized frustration, Elium only managed a glancing blow again, though the bite he earned in retaliation was a good bit more than that.
He really needed to get used to this new weapon faster if he was to be of any use in this battle.OOC Name of character: Elium.
