And then she decided to try again, just because she could (which was as valid of a reason as any...right? Right).
Xiu wasn't sure if it was getting any easier watching a companion get shot down though. She had obviously been expecting it this time around, but there was nothing that she could do to get to him in time before chaos broke loose.
And of course, she started with this thing. She would bring it down to avenge her friend and for great justice!
A dramatic breeze blew past, her magical girl uniform fluttering in the wind as she charged forward to attack.

However, despite her troubles, Xiu somehow...managed to make it through the next room with barely any trouble at all. A few of the tiles that she stepped on actually succeeded in making her feel better, and though she was knocked on the head and promptly forgot one of the many memories she had gathered, thanks to the final two tiles, she made it through feeling better than ever.

The tile you step on gives way under your feet... and nothing happens. As you step on this tile, something wet sprinkles on you from above. Whatever it was, you feel better. Recover 15 HP. A tower of flame shoots up from the tile, badly burning you. Take 10 damage. CLANG! Something hard and heavy falls from the ceiling. You forget something. You activate a trap. Take 5 damage. You activate a trap. Take 3 damage. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety! Nothing happens. As you step onto the tile, you are filled with a feeling of... elation...? Recover all HP. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety, taking your place! Except... they're gone. Lose a companion. CRUNCH. You can still hear your companion's screams of pain as they suffer heavy damage. Take 50% HP loss (ie if you are 30/40, take 15 damage).

This time, with all six of her companions alive, they gave her the information that she sought about each of the goblets and their properties. After a bit of deliberation, she picked up the first goblet, examining it carefully. A part of her--the magical girl part--wanted to remain as she was, but the greater part of Xiu wished to regain as much of her old self as she could.
Offering her companions a grateful smile, she inclined her head in their direction, lifted the grail in a toast, and tipped the contents back into her mouth.
