It was him and Penelope the 'paca against the world. They could do it, he knew they could. Shiloh checked over the saddle and supplies before he hoisted himself up, and set off on his journey with his trusted steed.

Their journey got off to bit of a slow start with Penelope taking only a couple strides before she came up lame. Hopping off, Shiloh lifted her foot concernedly, and carefully picked out a small rock that had lodged itself there. Setting it down gently, he gave her a pat, and a bit off food.
"Off we go now, Penny."

Penny found her stride and the two ambled along contentedly. Strangely, Shiloh felt quite at home in the saddle.

Shiloh finally relented and turned her in a different direction. As he did, one of the rope supports of the bridge snapped, and the whole thing collapsed into the swirling waters beneath it.
Shiloh gulped, he'd be listening to Penny from now on.
