Not just your average B-Rated horror flick, it's a poor B-Rated horror flick that is supposedly what Silent Hill should have been. Part psychological thriller & part ghost story, it features the cliche abandoned hospital, government project involving troubled children, and a vengeful spirit. Even has the experienced doctor that can put the pieces of the puzzle together.

Its not much of a spoiler to say these children were supposedly autistic or savant; incapable of feeling guilt at some level at any rate, and a very small minority of the population if only 48 children were involved. Even by older government standards, you need more then 48 for an adequate study. ANYWAY, vengeful spirit goes on a manhunt for the 6 friends who never managed to help her escape the facility/ didn't find her on time/ left her behind, 20 years prior.

The moral here is that the behavioral testing might have worked overall (Although, I doubt it. One of the jerks is still guilt-free), or perhaps that the final results may not be seen for some time (the ending brings the story full circle; Guilt through redemption/though compassion). It does what the Silent Hill movie did not; I blame Lionsgate on that problem personally. There can be no sequel if the first has a definitive ending.

At 80 minutes long, I've seen about 3/4ths; It went from decent to corny in about a half hour. A rent movie? Yeah. I wouldn't purchase it unless it came in a bundle. On the chance you've seen it, perhaps you have a more optimistic opinion?
