Riyo was slightly bewildered when she finally reached the little shack. It made sense, really. Greatness from small beginnings.
"I am the Voice and this is my story. This is my story of the Great King, the Greatest King, and this is my duty to withhold his sworn promise.
That from the ordinary can emerge something even greater."
"In front of you is the beginning of your journey, as as the Great King once began theirs. Even the most magnificent sword must be tempered from simple steel. Using the most basic of what you are going, go, show me how Great a King you can become. Only the Greatest can succeed."
Oh.
Okay.
Wait, what was that big fluffy thing?
Riyo smooshed her cheeks together as she ran over to greet the Alpaca, patting it's gentle fur. "You and me, buddy. I'm gonna call you..."
s**t, why not? "Felix!" Why did she like that name so much? The feline supposed only time would tell. "C'mon. Lets get you set up."
Once all the necessary preparations were made, and Felix was loaded up with supplies, Riyo took to his back and... Huh. She couldn't remember ever riding an animal like this before... So she hugged his neck. "Uh. Go?"
So soft~
The duo journeyed through the village, not caring about the emptiness because they had each other. When the plains were reached, Riyo halted Felix in whatever way she could. "Here we go. The first step."

As Felix and Riyo were traveling along, and she was regaling stories of her past to the alpaca (who didn't understand anyways), the two of them learned the importance of silence. This was bandit country, after all.
"Hey there pretty lady." One of the bandits grunted as two were quick to follow behind. <******** off." Was her simple reply, patting Felix to keep him calm. She wanted to move forward, but it seemed as though her path was blocked. Oh, and they had... Knives. Goodie.
"Now is that any way to treat someone?" The second bandit asked, as the third started digging through her supply sack. "Felix! Tactical maneuver 3!"
Of course the alpaca had no idea what she meant, but it rammed through the first guy as if it did. Riyo thought they got out lucky... But it looked like they'd managed to steal five bandages from her.
Riyo dismounted briefly after they were certain they'd gotten away from the bandits, to assess Felix for any damages. "You okay buddy? Any of your legs hurt?"
As if it was some kind of good idea, the demoness yanked one of his back legs to get a closer look at it.
And the journey continues. Riyo was miffed about being kicked so hard (her clothes had a defined hoofprint in them now), but she didn't say anything. After all, Felix was the one carrying her.

After a good rest, Riyo was back on the path. Felix seemed more chipper after eating. At least, she sure as s**t hoped so after getting a hoof to the gut.
The mountains were coming up. "Careful now.." She didn't want to die before she remembered more of her friends... If she had more.
