Tayyib was back in the arena, facing another swordsman. This one wielded two swords to his one. Double the weapons, double the trouble for him? He hoped not. Readying himself for the fight ahead, he took up his stance with a grin for his new opponent. "Up for going all out?"

"You bet I am!" Tahigwa exclaimed, grinning. This boy had nice hair, but it was already braided, she would have loved to braid it for him! She mentally shrugged, sometimes these things were for the best.
Then, rather suddenly, she raced towards him and flung her blades towards his sides, not wanting to look slow out on the field.

Tayyib dodges and retaliates.
Dodge: 19 + 3 = 22 --> takes no damage

Retaliate: (19 + 7) / 5 --> 5.2 damage dealt
"Glad to hear it," Tayyib replied, his smile deepening for a second before her dual swords sped towards him. Not again! Why did he always end up with opponents who were so fast on the draw?
He dodged the blow, momentum drawing him closer to Tahigwa. Given their proximity, he swung his own sword toward the Alkidike in a retaliatory strike.

Tahigwa tried her best to dodge his swung, but was not as quick as she had hoped she would be. Still, she took the attack with a grain of salt and swung back for a counter, only to sigh when she realized she had missed. Ugh! Okay, no worries, she just needed to focus harder!

As the dual swords whistled through the air next to him, Tayyib decided to stand his ground and attack. The sensation was unfamiliar to him, and uncertainty stayed his hand, leading to a weaker swing than the last. Before, he had mostly relied on momentum to add force to his sword swings. Suddenly he envied his last opponent's powerful strikes. Envy wouldn't help him here, though.

Again, Tahigwa moved to evade her opponent's swing, only to be far slower than she wanted to be. Come on, Tahi! FOCUS! Her mental screaming wasn't enough prompting, though, as she missed her counter attack, again. While she took her fighting stance again, she wondered how her brother was doing, probably much better than she was.

Tayyib tensed to dodge as Tahigwa raised her swords again. Even after they missed him, he stayed alert, watching for an opening.
There.
Even with an earlier match behind him, actually setting out to hit someone ran counter to all his instincts as a dancer and performer. Still, he stepped close, took aim, and swung.

Hit: 20 + 7 = 27 -> critical hit for rolling a 20 on the hit roll
Dmg: 1.5[(20 + 7)/4] = 10.125 dmg dealt
Perhaps Tayyib's recent injury was goading him forth, or perhaps he finally stopped letting his dance instincts interfere with his combat instincts.Whatever the reason, he found the strength to make a powerful slash at his opponent.
