Liira rolled her shoulders as she strolled into the stadium. Her first battle had gone well enough and a little too fast for her liking. She felt like she was just getting warmed up and she was most definitely antsy the whole time she had to wait at her stall again before the second round. She had found out that that pile of garbage ice boy was still in the rounds and she was hoping that she would get to face him when this was all through. All she wanted was to pound his face into the dirt.
Her opponent was standing across from her and she wasn't very impressed. She had yet to see a trident in action, but she wasn't all that worried about it. A stick was a stick, no matter how many points it had at one end.

Rayolun was looking forward to this upcoming fight. The last one had been quite fun, though he had some bruises that definitely hurt. Perhaps this one would be just as entertaining; though he wouldn't mind if it wasn't as long.
Looking across he saw his opponent was female and wielded a bow. A very different opponent from last time. At least she won't be pounding on me with her fists, he thought with a smile.

Rayolun twirled his trident and then grounded it as he waited for the signal to start to sound. When it did, he rushed forward, trident held in both hands and ready to slash. As he got close he slashed at her legs: wound those so she couldn't flee and keep out of range as well.

Liira was surprised at the pure speed that this boy with a trident had. It was actually better than Liira's own, even with her light weight bow. She attempted to jump back from the attack, but her jump wasn't nearly enough to get out of range of her opponent's long trident. The trident ripped through her pants and struck her legs with a force that had her tumbling backward.
She came out of her miserable roll, and with a new found anger, launched an arrow at her opponent's arms. If she could just stop his arms, she could stop him from launching attacks like the last one.

Rayolun smiled as his attack hit and she tumbled back, he tried to dodge without throwing his balance off too much, but since he was so close, it was too difficult to get fully out of the arrows path. He shrugged off the stinging pain and slammed his trident butt down onto the girl's shoulder to try and throw hurt the muscles she needed to use her bow. He didn't use the three prongs because he didn't want to hurt her too much, this was a sparring match, not a death match.

Liira watched as her arrow skimmed his arms. But he didn't seem to be too deterred and came at her with a forceful slam to her shoulders. The pain seared through her arm hitting some nerve in there. It was painful and she tried to shake it off and attack her opponent again, but her arm wasn't back to its normal capacity.
s**t. She launched the arrow, but it flew clear passed where she was aiming and didn't even phase her opponent. s**t s**t s**t. This could be a really quick fight if her shoulder was going to keep giving her problems.

Rayolun saw the girl look angry and flustered. Maybe I'm being too overbearing? He thought as he shifted slightly to dodge the wild arrow she launched. Well, better she learn now in a safe environment to keep her cool then in the wild.. at least she can't die here...
With this thought he tried to pin one her arm down with his trident's three pronged end. If he could immobilize her then he'd win. Hopefully he'd be able to do this without hurting her too much. To do so he kicked out to distract her from the trident as he quickly slashed it downwards at her forearm.

Liira's eyes narrowed as she got over her failure of an arm. She would pull through this with or without perfectly working limbs. She managed to dodge out of the way of Rayolun's swing of his legs, and used her bow as a deflection from the shield before propelling herself backward and launching another weak arrow at her opponent.
Her arm might be weak, and it would take a lot longer to turn the tides on this match, but she at least got back her ability to shoot fairly straight. She grumbled at the current situation she was in. She would need fierce concentration and a lot of dumb luck if she was going to pull this off, and she hated relying on luck. Damn.

Ray tsked when his pinning attempt failed. Oh well, time to fight till the bitter end instead of a fast easy win, he thought to himself. He stumbled as he tried to follow the ice girl as she tumbled back and came up shooting. The arrow impacted on his shoulder and he grunted with pain. His eyes narrowed; take this seriously Ray, he thought; girl or no, she is an opponent, an enemy for a small bit of time....

Liira was lucky enough that her opponent hadn't managed to attack her. She could feel her arm slowly returning to normal, but it would take some time yet and she grumbled and moaned the whole way through. She rubbed her arm quickly before smacking it to regenerate some more feeling before picking her bow back up.
She pulled back solidly and aimed for Rayolun. Again, the attack was weak, thanks to her bum arm, but it might just hit yet. She kept having to tell herself that little by little was the way to go right now.

Rayolun saw the arrow coming at him and dodge out of the way as he ran forward. Swinging his trident with ease, he slashed out at the feisty ice girl. His favorite tactic of spearing the prey couldn't be used here, too high a chance of dealing fatal wounds so he stuck to slashes which could be healed easier then puncture wounds.

Liira should have been paying more attention. She was so preoccupied with her bum arm she didn't even see another attack coming her way. The damned guy just wouldn't go down. He dodged her attack with what seemed like ease and fluid movements and Liira could only hate him a little more for it, since she was bogged down with her wounds. Her arm didn't hurt anymore, but she could still feel how nerved up it was.
His trident struck her again in a sweeping motion and she knew she was done. She clutched the area and scowled. "Fine. You win. Whatever." She was a little upset that she wasn't continuing on, but her defeat only bubbled up to the surface and petty anger and overall grumpiness. Damned guy. He only won because he was larger than her. Hmph.
