Patrol, patrol, patrol. Eternal Chibi Lenka had to admit, that summertime was clearly the best time to Patrol ever. She just had so much time to do so. She could sleep late into the day, and that made it nice and easy to stay out late at night. Sometimes she didn’t get home until past midnight!

She had done a lot this summer so far too, met a lot of new people, and really felt like senshi life was good again…even if she had to visit her asteroid with Remarque…maybe even he wasn’t so bad…He was still bad. Just not so bad.

The senshi was sitting on a bench, just enjoying the slightly cool breeze of the night as it whipped across her face, though paused, feeling the familiar sensation of another senshi nearby. Another chibi at that rate! Maybe it was Goretti, out and about! Oh maybe they could play or something fun!

The girl jumped up, all but running to go and find him, a huge smile on her face. When she saw who it was, she paused for just a moment, then her grin broadened. Oh! This wasn’t Goretti at all…it was someone else! Someone new! “Hiya! I haven’t met you before! My name’s Lenka!”

Summer was supposed to be fun but for Euphrosyne it wasn’t as much. Since he was cooped up in the house most of the time he wasn’t able to do a lot of the things he wanted to do. Ever since he was attack by the Lt. of his nightmares it had been all down hill for him. His mother didn’t trust him going out by himself, like she did before. She did sometime but it very rarely. She told him it was for his own safety and she didn’t want him to get into more trouble because he was still “recovering” from what happen months ago.

The only real time he was out without her by his side was when he was patrolling and he didn’t enjoy that too much either. He was always worried that he was going to get attack or worst meet the LT. that had caused him this horrible problem. Fact, he was getting better but he was still looking over his shoulder and taking very careful steps every time he was out. He couldn’t be too sure anymore.

And when the other chibi came out of nowhere it scare him half to death and he almost jumped out of his outfit. He was so focus on looking over his shoulder he had all but forgotten to see if there was any power signal out. He had to get better at that. If this were a negaverse then he would have been in grave danger. But it was a princess, a very princess that look just a little older then him and gave a bright smile. “Hiya Lenka! I’m Euphrosyne! Chibi Senshi of Joy! I’m sorry that I jumped! I’ve just been a little more nervous patrolling by myself! But I still tell ya that I’m a knight! And I’m here to portect!” he said with a small giggle.

Lenka jumped a little too when the boy jumped, and then let out a nervous laugh. “I’m sorry I scared you, I seriously didn’t mean to!” She grinned. “Euphrosyne? That’s a mouthful and a half, I think! I’m so glad my name was short like Lenka! Or I might have forgotten just what my senshi name was!” She tilted her head. “Senshi of joy, hm? I’m the senshi of watermelons, if you couldn’t tell by my outfit…most people can, I think.”

She tried to smooth down her skirt just a bit, then smiled. “How come you’re nervous about patrolling by yourself? And how come if you’re nervous you don’t have anyone patrolling with you? Don’t you have any senshi friends to come out here with you so you guys can help to protect one another? That’s what I did for a while. Or at least I tried to…now I’m trying to be the one to help protect others!”

She had her buttwings, so clearly, that was what she was supposed to do. There was really no question.

He shook his head and let out a small giggle. “No it’s fine. I’m alright! I promise!” he stopped to giggle, “Yeah! But it super easy once you get use to it! Though this one girl messed it up horribly and it wasn’t very nice, plus she even bite me! And I like your name! It’s pretty and it’s nice that it’s short because I also have trouble saying other people names. Some are just hard to say!” he said giggling once more. “Watermelon! That neat I didn’t know you could have senshi of food? Is that common? Can you eat your watermelon?” he said giggling again.

He looked around and let out a sigh. “well it’s because this lady came out of no where and attacked me! She almost killed me and I did nothing to her, Lenka! NOTHING! I’m not sure what I did do get hurt so badly. And I don’t patrol with other because I don’t know a lot of other senshi! Plus my mommy would get upset if she saw me hanging with older people! I just don’t know what to do! I don’t patrol as much anymore because I’m nervous she will come back and finish her…” he paused to sallow, “ you know her job” he said in a small whisper.

It was true. He was nervous of her, he couldn’t not be. She was what haunted him at night and he was nervous that she was only going to come back stronger and really kill him.

Lenka grinned. “I don’t know about eating the watermelons that I throw at people, but sometimes I think about it! I’ve seen youma eat them, at the very least…”

The senshi grew quiet when the younger boy went on about the crazy lady who tried to kill him, and by the time he had finished, it was all Lenka could do to stop herself from hugging the boy. “That’s terrible…seriously…that’s just awful…”

Finally the urge to comfort the boy was far too much to deal with and Lenka flung her arms around him, hugging him tightly. “I’ll make sure you stay safe, okay? We can patrol together, and we can be friends and everything will be okay. I won’t let anyone hurt you again, I promise! I have a guardian cat, her name’s Julienne and I’ll make sure she watches out for you too…we’ll do our best for you…okay? You won’t have to be afraid anymore!”

“Youma’s eat watermelon? I didn’t know that. I just thought they only ate starseeds instead of real food? That funny!” he said giggling.

His eyes got big as she pulled him into a hug and all he could do was curl his arms around the girl and hug her too, as tears stream down his face. He couldn’t take it anymore. He cried a lot at night but he never cried in front of his sister or to anyone else other then his mother. He was scared and he knew that only other superhero like him would understand the terror that he was going through and as the other chibi took him in her embrace all he could do was cry and just let all the terror run through his body.

He looked at her through his tear filled eyes and smiled. “R-really? You would do that for me, Lenka? That would be the best thing ever. I am so very afraid but to have knowledge that someone would keep protected would make me feel so much better. And may I meet Miss Julienne sometime she seem nice.” He said sniffling a bit, he stopped to wipe his eyes a bit and looked at her, “And I’m not. I know that you’re here and so is Miss Julienne which makes me feel a lot better.” He said tears still running down his eyes.

“Well…when I was first awakened as a senshi the youma ran off with my watermelon rind…so I guess sometimes they can eat it? Or maybe it just didn’t want me to attack it again…” She snuggled a little closer against him, looking at him and watching him crying. Her own lip trembled a little and Lenka sighed. “Yeah. I totally promise. We’re going to be friends, and friends help protect one another.”

Pulling away Lenka turned around, pointing at her buttwings. “You see these? These mean that I’m going to kick all the bad guys’ butts and protect all of my friends from them forever. I’ve worked really hard to get them, so I’m going to prove to the world that I deserve them…and I think I’ve been doing a pretty good job at that so far.” The girl gave a little grin then reached out, wiping away the other chibi’s tears. “There’s no need to cry anymore. Everything’s going to be okay now. Now and forever.”

She was going to have to have some serious talks with Julienne about this. This kid needed some friends, and stronger ones at that. Maybe she could convince the cat to come stay with him for a while…just until he felt safer outside again.

He gave a small giggle at the youma, imagining a youma eating a watermelon rid or running away from it. It did lighten up his mood but his eyes were still watering. He couldn’t help it, he had been sad for a long time now and it was nice to finally be able to release it. He looked up to the older chibi and smiled. “Thank you so much Lenka, that means the world to me.” He said through sniffles.

He smiled and let out a small giggle. “Yeah I think you’re doing a great job! I mean hey you made me feel 100 percent times better and I’ve been pretty afraid for a while now! Plus they are so super cool! Can you fly Lenka?” he said bouncing a bit. If Butt wings meant you could fly then he wanted them as soon as possible! They he could fly with superman. He gave one last sniffle and then looked to his friend with a big smile. “Right, no more crying because now I know I have people who care and will look after me!”

She shook her head. "No, sadly. Buttwings are just a sign of how powerful that you are...but they can't let you fly....but...but you know that you can get to space! You can get to your planet or asteroid or star or whatever it is! Did you know that? I just went to mine not too long ago...and it was really super cool, and it was kind of like flying to get there? Or teleporting or soemthing. I don't even know. I thought I was going to get stuck there forever! And, and I was so mad at Julienne then....she tricked me into taking my biggest enemy with me! But..."

Lenka paused, thinking about Remarque and making a face. "At least maybe we're not enemies anymore? Or maybe we're not? I really don't know. He's a strange guy...one of the Dark Mirror Senshi, his name's Remarque...he most likely won't hurt you if you ever meet him....but if he tries anything. Tell him Lenka's gonna get him and stuff him into a big ol' watermelon...okay?" She grinned taking a step away from the boy and laughing.

He frowned a bit but quickly shook it off as it was no big deal. It was still pretty neat and he knew how hard others had to work for it to have them but that all stop as she mention space. His jaw dropped, Ms. ********* had told him nothing about space. Just what he had to do on earth. He knew it, he was just like superman. He was from space and now so was he. “Oh Lenka. I wanna go! I wanna go! No one has ever told me that I could go to space. That would be so neat and I could be like superman and be in space like star wars or star trek! Omg omg! How come no one has told me that I could go to space! That’s not far! I would have gone a long long time ago!!” he whined out in excitement.

He looked at her. The name was not familiar to him but he did know one Dark Mirror Senshi and she was a princess and very nice. He like them very much even if they were the bad guys, maybe that was the same with this guy. “Alright! I’ll keep that in mind. I meet one before, she is a princess….well almost! It’s my quest to make her a princess on the right side. I just got to figure out how to make her clean again. Do you think Remarque knows how to make her good again? She won’t to be good. She told me and promise me if I find out that she would give it a try for she could become a real princess! I promise Lenka! Would taking her to space do that! I have to find out for her! She means the world to me!” he said shouting. He knew he had to do something Princess Aurora was counting on him, so he had to find out and quick before she succumbed to the bad ways.

Lenka's eyes widened. "I know that feeling! I mean, I guess I knew I could go to space, a little, but when Julienne told me how to go, oh it was just amazing! I felt like a real Jedi and my asteriod is just so cool! So very cool!" The girl gave a little noise of delight and tiwrled around, laughing. When Winston began speaking of a Dark Mirror Senshi who was nice she looked at him, raising a brow. She wasn't quite sure that any of them could really be nice...but if the girl wanted to try to be good...? Maybe there was something that they could do. Maybe. "I don't know, WInston. I don't think Remarque would want to ever tell us how to make one of the Dark Mirror Senshi un dark...and I really don't think you should bring it up to him either...he might get mad...But! But you and me can figure something out, I'm sure! There has to be some way to save them. I might even try to save Remarque too! He seems like he'd be a pretty good...you know. Good guy!"

She grinned, then took out her senshi phone, snapping a picture of the other chibi. "I'll talk to Julienne about taking you up to Space...and maybe we can meet up for patroling soon, okay? I'm sure she'll want to talk t you and to make sure to set you up with some senshi patroling buddies so you don't get hurt again! I know I'd love to come out with you again, I like you, you're super nice!"

Wait! He didn’t know you could actually go to your home asteroid! That was amazing and he wanted to go right now! “Oh my! That sounds amazing! I hope my asteroid is as cool as yours! I bet it is! Oh I know it is! It ahs to be! Oh Lenka I want to go right now! Do you know when Julienne is going to be free next? Do you think she will let me do go” he said bouncing up and down from excitement.

He nodded as she talked. “Alright! If I ever meet him I’ll make sure not to mention it around him! She want to be a real princess and I’m her knight and she wants me to protect her! And I want to, really I do Lenka! She wants to be good! I just know it! “ he said being as truth as possible. He knew that there was some good in everyone and more in her. He was going to save her even if it meant death.

He giggled and took her into a hug. “Aww lenka I like you too and I would love to patrol with you again! You’re such a nice friend and has made me feel so much better about patrolling again! I’m not scare anymore and not I have something to look forward too! Thank you so so much!” he said bowing to her and letting out a small giggle.
