It was her first time sneaking out of the house after dark since becoming a senshi, and Lepus had to admit- she was pretty excited! Now she could finally see for herself the 'monsters' that were talked about on the news, as well as explore places she had never been allowed to before, too! While it might have been scary for any other kid her age to be walking around alone at night, Lepus wasn't afraid at all, and was instead perhaps purposely trying to seek out youma to fight. So far, she hadn't had any luck, and Lepus eventually sighed in disappointment. She wanted to test out her powers on them! Hopefully she'd find something scary before she had to high-tail it back home, before her mother woke up to find her missing.

Planetary duty, you make me so tired. If you're my friend, then why do you make me choose between you and school? Where is the break? Where is the nap? Medea dragged herself down the avenue when she heard the pitter-pattering of tiny footsteps. She closed her eyes and reached to the surrounding area. These feelings grew clearer, maybe a Senshi? She hoped so, but just in case, she turned in what she believed was the direction of the sound, and unable to see past the flickering streetlight, with tired eyes proclaimed, "Whoever's there, in the name of truth, beauty, freedom and blah blah blah...show yourself to Medea, Senshi of Enchantment."
She propped her hand on her hip and waited.
Maybe she just heard the wind?
Yeah.
She sighed and closed her eyes with exhaustion. So tired...
Until she walked into a mound of fluff and cloth.
YOUMA?! WAS IT A TINY YOUMA?
"EEEEEEEEE." She shrieked in the face of the little girl. "BWAAAAAAH."

Lepus heard someone in the distance, something about them being a senshi as well, but it wasn't really what she was looking for, so she ignored it- -Until 'it', being 'Sailor Medea', walked right into her. And started shrieking at her. Oh, oh! Wait, was Medea scared of her? Unable to control the bout of giggles that came forth, Lepus put on her best scary face as she tried to look as menacing as a chibi senshi of something not so scary could be. "Boo! I'm gonna eat youuuuu!" elza magica 'the most foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on! '

Oh! It wasn't a scary demon-monster about to eat her face! It was an adorable child!
"Oh nooo!" She covered her face with her hands. "Don't eat meee!"
She peeked from between her fingers and laughed.
"My friend, why are you out here by yourself?" She smiled and kneeled to her level. "Are you a Senshi too?"Merurulince Oooh the terror! Negaverse beware!

Lepus nodded, still giggling. "Yep!" she said, "I'm Sailor Chibi Lepus, senshi of rabbits! Or that's what Pippin said, anyway." Not that she doubted Pippin or anything- Lepus liked the bunny tophat, too! "I'm looking for monsters," Lepus told Medea, "I wanna test something!"

"Oh Pippin?" Medea cupped her chin. "Is he a cat?"
She wondered if only cats like Julienne and Thetis could awaken Senshi. Why cats? How did they summon wands?
It seemed so mysterious...
But now was not the time! The little Senshi wanted to test something!
"What would you like to test, cheerful human?"

"Yeah! He's the cat that gave me my pen and stuff. It's too bad my mom would never let me have a talking cat in the house if she found out, though... He could join me for tea parties!" Lepus said, nodding. Technically, she tried to declare herself too old for collecting plush rabbits and held tea parties with them in secret, but in the excitement of being a new senshi, she had forgotten about that. And it wasn't like she or Medea knew each other, right? "Um, well, I wanted to see, like, what kind of powers I had. And stuff." Lepus explained, "So I wanted to find a monster for that! Since we're supposed to be fighting them, right?"

"Oh sweetie!" Medea stood. "Even though we're supposed to fight monsters, we don't need them to test your powers! We can test them right here. Watch! Alluring Enchantment!" Medea's hands glowed pink and she grasped the streetlight and pointed at Lepus. The streetlamp glowed with a faint pink. "Now, try to look away!"
Though they patrolled to find monsters, Medea didn't want to endanger the child. Perhaps the enchantment would take her mind off it?
She wondered about the Senshi's sphere. The bunny-eared hat seemed to scream "Rabbit". Maybe she could summon carrots or jump extremely high? What if she could conjure an army of zombie bunnies?
That would be quite frightening, actually.
"Also, tea parties are the best! You'll have to invite me sometime."

Okay, that was really weird, and Lepus found it nearly impossible to focus on anything but the streetlamp. When the enchantment ended, she blinked, and turned her focus back to Medea. "So... I can test it here, then?" she asked, wanting clarification. She didn't say anything more about the tea parties, at least not for now. If Medea wanted to be invited, Lepus would have to know who she was outside of senshi-dom, and Lepus wasn't sure how much she wanted someone to know about her secret love of collecting plush rabbits.

Yes! The distraction worked--Medea could work with the Chibi without worrying about protecting her from a youma (as much--who knew where they prowled during the evening?). Thank goodness. She would protect the little one, but she feared that she would incur some scrapes or bruises during the battle, and for that, she would feel guilt.
"Of course you can test it here!" Medea smiled. "Just make sure not to kill me or anything. That would be pretty lame!"
She mentally prepared herself for pain--just in case.

"Nah, I wouldn't kill you," Lepus said, "That'd be lame, like you said, and I don't think I can do that, anyway, but if I can use my magic on you, then.... awesome! Then... look over there!" Lepus exclaimed, pointing to a general direction behind Medea, calling out the words that came to her. She waited... And waited some more... But in the end, nothing happened. Confused, and also maybe a little embarrassed, Lepus lowered her arm, and, wanting to save face, quickly made up an excuse. "Uhh, that was just a warmup for the real deal!" she lied, slowly backing away, "I gotta go now, so... see ya!" And with that, Lepus took off running into the night. The tea parties and awesome magic show would have to come another time... after she figured out why her magic didn't work. Quote: wrapping things up to meet reqss
