Quote: Thane picked his way through the trees, feeling the summer air cool as the sky turned first pink then purple. He enjoyed listening to the trees come alive with night approaching, the breeze kicking up his his mane and tail, rusting his feathers with it. It was going to be a lovely evening. Quote: Aylen ventured through the trees, but keeping tabs of where her family was resting. She hoped to find a small clearing where she could glance up to the stars. The glimmering lights were always her favorite thing about the night and would always make her feel safe, no matter how dark it was. She tossed her bangs out of her face as she smiled softly, pressing forward through the trees. Quote: Thane caught a quick hint of a beautiful smell with the breeze wooshing past his snout. Curious, Thane attempted to regain the scent. Soon, he was tracking a trail to the source, finding the scent sweet and alluring like a fruit and flower in one. Quote: Aylen stopped for a moment when she heard a sound coming from behind her. She didn't think too much of it though, having soon convinced herself that it was her father being his protective self and following after her at a safe distance. With that thought, she giggled softly and kept walking, but slowing her pace so whoever was behind her, if there was anyone, could catch up if they wished. Quote: Thane peered a light mare up a ways of ahead. She was very pretty in the light that shone her pelt, and Thane heard a slight giggle. Was that her? He perked his ears, more the curious. He hadn't made a point to be quiet, and as to not scare her, decided to continue as was. She seemed to slow, allowing him to gain closer. The longer he followed, the more creepy he felt. He was unsure to turn and head his own way, but he really wanted to find out more about this mare. Quote: Aylen's ears flicked back, still hearing the rustling behind her, quite surprised that who she thought was following her wasn't at her side already. Perhaps it wasn't him. She paused, looking behind her now, wondering if she would be able to spot who it was. If it was family, besides her children and grandchildren, she should be able to spot their light pelts. It didn't seem like it was family, but she could make out a fainter blue than the sky. "Hello?" Quote: Thane stopped when the mare seemed to finally suspect him, or at least became more curious. He stood still, a small, friendly smile on his snout. He noticed her peering at him, as if he couldn't see him all to clearly. He continued into the bright light of the moon, where the tree's leaves were absent. With him out in the open, he felt propelled to introduce himself formally. "Ma'am." He said clearly, bowing his head to his hoof and back up again, his smile still in place.
