Once he'd left the cave where the horned two-legs had been staying the Merkein Tallulah was more careful about looking up. It seemed that the trio that had been trying to make a meal of him had moved on, a nice thing indeed since it meant that he would be able to continue hunting in hopes of finding a smaller group of the Ayrala to deal with. Three it would seem was a terribly unlucky number Tallulah felt as he continued to sneak along, looking out for a better number. One, one would be nice he thought to himself, though he doubted he would be so lucky as to find a single Ayrala. He had a feeling that best that he could really hope for would be, "Two!" He squeaked out when he spotted two of the silver colored dragons. Not only were there two of them but they were on the ground! This was likely the best that he could hope for when it came to these rather dangerous beasts he thought to himself as he scurried forward to an out cropping of jagged rocks, ducking behind them. He wanted a bit of cover after all so that he could formulate a plan.
Alright, think, think he told himself, peeking around the rocks so that he could look at the pair. He went over what they had that he didn't have, how he should go about fighting them, and how to make his escape if things didn't go the way that he wanted them to go. Alright, first things first... the fact that they could fly. The plan was simple enough then, he would charge forward as quickly as he could, dive onto one of their backs, and he would take out the wings! If they were unable to fly then at least he and his quarry would be on equal footing, right? Equal footing that had to remain on the ground at that. After grounding his prey he would need to finish one of them off quickly, then he could face off against the second one! His plan was set he thought to himself as he pressed close to the ground, took a couple of creeping steps forward before he broke into a charge. The moment he felt he was close enough he threw himself into the air, landing hard on the Ayrala's back, and snapped his jaws shut on one of the silver dragon's wings. There was an awful 'crack' sound as he broke the bone, and then he attacking with his sharp claws, aiming for the places he felt were vital and vulnerable.
The Ayrala gave a roar before it set to whirling around in circles, throwing Tallulah from it's back before charging toward the Merkein who was quick to snap at the dragon, teeth sinking into it's throat before he was once more slashing forward with his claws. The battle with the maimed, flightless Ayrala ended quicker then he had thought it would, with him coming out on top much to his delight. The dragon crumbled away into nothing and Tallulah turned quickly, preparing himself for his battle against the other one... when he realized that the other one was no longer around. He blinked a couple times, grumbled, then trotted over to where his orb was sitting. Leaning in he set to inspecting it, purring over the beauty of the silver orb, before he scooped it up in his jaws, "Come on, Orb, let's get you back to Eyphah's cave." He really wanted to show this one off, it was so pretty! Not to mention that this one was the first of his silver Ayrala orbs! It was a wonderful way to show that he had defeated one of those airborne monsters all by himself! Eyphah had to be proud of that!
Tallulah wasn't too sure why he wanted the big, scarred up Diabi to be proud of him, but he did. He attributed it to the fact that the Drakein thought him to be weak and at a huge disadvantage against the dragons he needed to hunt. While that might be true it wasn't something that Tallulah cared for even in the least, as such he meant to do his best to prove otherwise and force Eyphah to admit that he was proud of Tallulah's growing skills!
