Oooh myyy Gooosh!
I can't take it any longer!
I've been experiencing my worst enemy for days now! I often sat down at my table with my book in hand trying to jot something down. I even took to direct typing in but i made no progress.
So i decided to take three days off and freshmen my mind and all that but i still had nothing.
I've had The Block before but not this bad and i have no idea how to deal with it...
Please advice me...pretty please with strawberries and sprinkle on it???

The only things that help me are

Video games
Anime

Music Videos.

Maybe one of those could help?

When confronting a writer's block, I find it is often helpful to take a walk around the park or sit out in nature for a while to soothe the mind.
Once you are no longer frustrated, I then recommend listening to music. Either some that you love, or some that reminds you of your story and/or characters.

If your problem isn't so much a writer's block as it is you need ideas, you might consider reading or watching something in which you could place your characters, but I find that music usually works the best for me.
If you're an artist you may consider sketching your character(s) and then brainstorming scenarios about that drawing. It often helps to come up with ideas if one has a visual reference.

I despise writing blocks, so please let me know whether or not anything works for you. I have a big long list of things that help me personally, but that doesn't necessarily mean they'll work for you, but then, they might. I'd like to do everything in my power to help.
Good luck!

Ooooh, writer's block, that nasty thing.

Well one of the best things to do from what I've heard is to force yourself to write. Maybe look at writing prompts and write whatever comes to mind in regards to that. Thing is, that has potential to only make you MORE frustrated than you already are...

So despite everything anyone else would probably tell you the best thing to do when faces with a block is to take a break and not try to push yourself to do somethign that's obviously not happening. Sure it might take a bit longer to get thigns done that way, but it saves you quite a bit of frustration in the end doesn't it! (This is also what I typically do, though I end up writing in bursts of anywhere from 350 words to 1000 words at a time at random intervals anyway.) Something to keep in mind though that while I believe writer's block DOES technically go away on its own after some time, it could be a long time coming before it finally does.

While you're not writing, though, read as much as you can or can stand to! Reading is a wonderful exercise in writing, and can be helpful in getting you to think of some out of the box situations. So if you typically read action/adventure books for example, try picking up something more easy-going, like a simple romance novel, for instance (though this isn't to say you should read something you're not going to enjoy of course).

Writers block is a nasty thing to experience. Personally, I just listen to music, previous songs that frequently get me thinking. I try not to touch video games as they tend to completely monopolize my time and I won't get anything done if I'm trying to break through a block. But I also look for prompts to use for my characters or what not to try and write about them. It doesn't have to be serious but it helps me keep my writing from stagnating. I also like to go back over what I've previously written for anything. Sometimes I find little nuggets of inspiration left behind. :3
