With not much else to do, Palem oddly went looking for a fight. Usually she found others to fight with, but this time the fight came to her. "eeeh...."

He had found that the more people that were involved in a fight, the easier they tended to be. Marati never thought to ask to join in another's battle. It was something she had almost always heard others do, but was never really something she adopted. Instead, when she heard the sounds of battle she followed it, and after assessing who was a greyling and who was the monster, she lifted Despair's Razor and charged, swinging the large sword down on the enemy's hunched form in a heavy arc.

It attacked him, and Ri saw no reason why he should hold back. He brought his spear down on the top of the creature, hard, causing damage. Heh. Palem had every intention of responding to the boy's question, because she really didn't mind. This seemed like a strong foe, something she couldn't take down by herself. But she wasn't able to really when a rush of others suddenly arrived, leaving her a little stunned. So many.
She took transfixed for a moment, unsure of what to do. Two of them she felt an odd connection, but nothing outright... something more underneath and underneath. More than a lifetime ago. She couldn't explain why.

Marati noticed them noticing her, and tensed up herself. The one she could understand, since she had shot him (BY ACCIDENT, of course), but the other one had been nice. WHAT WAS GOING ON?
"What?" She challenged, trying to save face. Her gaze flickered to the other girl here, who thankfully didn't have the same look at the two boys. To Palem she managed a small, relieved smile, but it was quickly lost by nerves.

On the other hand, with a larger group, it was also harder to concentrate, and his swing missed. Stabbing was slightly more efficient, and he grinned as his spear made contact with the enemy. He kind of enjoyed fighting, especially when he wasn't missing.
