Vaneda didn't have to wait to pull her sword, the creature calling to her first. She dodged its claws, swing her sword up at it, leaving a large gash in its paw.
"Nothing to a G." She gave a lazy smile, dropping the sword tip to the ground. OOC  Name of character: Vaneda Damage done: 10 CURRENT HP OF BOSS: 140 Current HP: 50/50 (using first negated damage.) Shaw was significantly less effective, batting it's teeth away from his face with his staff. "How come everybody got like, swords n' s**t 'cept me?" He complained. When Remye faced the beast, fear gripped at her core. It was massive, and it looked like it could swallow her up in one gulp. Two others in her party struck first, but she shrunk back, holding her spear defensely and waiting for her opening to strike. As soon as fear let her move her legs. The beast was large and cumbersome, clearly not a fog-being, and certainly not grey (or black) like everything else he'd fought. Nevertheless, Sarviur's instincts screamed danger, and he paid no mind to the people already in the cave as he leapt forward with his sword and swung. He got a shallow cut in, but a shallow cut was better than no cut. As a group joins her, her weapons sings with attack. The blade digging even deeper with flesh. At this point she thinks of it as a dance. She pirouettes, the monster dips in...she evades.

Remye was momentarily inspired by the bravery of the others, and the girl leapt forward, striking at the beast. Of course she only managed a glazing amount of damage, and was quickly thrown aside for her trouble. She braced herself on the spear as she got up off the ground, grimacing but shaking it off. She'd be fine. They'd bring this thing down one way or another.

He was a better swordsman, Sarviur thought, when his opponent was fighting with one, too. The sword was fortunately one that could handle a two-handed grip, but it was rather difficult to position himself at the correct distance from the monster. He stepped back, wary, and managed only to nick it in the shoulder. Some help he was! The second blow was as weak as the first; her fear still gripped her tightly, and she didn't want to get too close to the beast for fear of being swallowed whole. Still, she had to shake it off, and not entirely for her sake. Her party was depending on her to do her part. They could bring this beast down but only if everyone tried.
Get a grip, Rem. Kill or be killed.
