Roll a six: Electric Field: The field is completely flat. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field are five electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These release static discharge across the field at random; electric attacks may be able to amplify themselves by using these stray charges to their advantage. The discharges also programmed to encourage pokemon to avoid standing in one location for too long This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to ELECTRIC type attacks.

Willa stumbled into the stadium out of pure curiosity. The sight of electrical towers and static being discharged made her grimaced a bit. The Plasma trainee's hand grabbed a pokeball and tossed it out to the field to call out Baratro. She crossed her arms as she watched the light take form of the sharpedo, "Good-luck," she muttered, "You're going to need it."
Baratro took a look around his surroundings. Whoa, this place looked weird... He floated towards a tower a touched it with his fin and immediately recoiled from the tiny shock he received.

Lex strolled into the arena and looked about, giving a grimace at the field choice. Electric, not the best for the flying and water types. Yet, their opponent was also a water type. They should be good.
He smiled at the trainer and tossed out Ran, the Gyarados rising out of the pokeball with vengeance and roared, shaking out her scales and reared to her impressive height, glaring at her puny opponent.
"Not yet, Ran!" Lex called. He looked over the Sharpedo in interest and raised the pokedex, one of the remaining things he carried on from his first day as a trainer. 'Brutal Pokemon. Water/ Dark type. Rough skin ability.' This could be interesting.

Willa's eyes grew at the sight of the gyarados; what a beauty-- No! This is a battle. The Plasma member's eyes snapped back to her sharpedo, "Alright Bara, ice fang!"
Baratro took a few seconds to register what is happening before ridding himself of his friendly aura and shilling his jaws. Once satisfied, he rushed up to the gyarados and attempted to sink his teeth into her.

Lex focused on the sharpedo, taking in the speed and jaws, the icy attack. The rather strange patterns crawling up it fins and the notch in the top. It was in all a rather pretty Sharpedo. Who was trying to nom on his lovely, if monstrous lady.
"Ran, use Thunder." He called, smirking slightly as he used the field against the other, and well... he wanted to see their best. See the glory, even if he had to stir them up a bit.
She roared, moving quickly to throw the sharpedo away from her frame and bellowed out, attempting to shock the shark pokemon toasty.

Baratro released his hold on the gyarados due to the thunder. He shuddered a but but snapped his attention back to the battle at the sound of Willa's voice.
"Ancient power, Bara, make it quick!"
The sharpedo grunted in reply and his yellow eye glowed. A plethora of rock materialized around him and he sent them all at the gyarados.

"Rocks?" Ran hissed, red clouding her eyes as the thrashed against the barraged of pebbles. "You shower me in rocks?" She flared out, barbells stiff and jaws gapping.
"Dragon Rage!" Lex called, keeping the Gyarados attention focused and listening to him. "Show him what you can do luv."
Ran cried and raged at the Sharpedo.
Ancient power was a rock attack, the glow of the eyes had been note worthy. Did all pokemon's eyes glow when they used that attack? Did sharpedo have more then one layer of teeth? How would the skin feel to touch... like sandpaper? He couldn't tell by looking over the sharpedo how rough the skin was. It looked sleek and rubbery.

The shock wave of rage washed over Baratro, making him shudder slightly.
"Again, Bara!" Willa commanded, her eyebrows furrowing in concentration.
The sharpedo's eyes glowed again to summon more rocks. With a swish of his tail, all the rocks were sent flying in the gyarados' direction.

It was easy to see the predatory nature of the pokemon. The focus and the strength and the camouflage of it coloration. The pale body would hide it when looking up from below and the dark upper hide it if one was looking at it from the surface. Not a commonly found pokemon with a trainer. Like Ran. Hard to get to listen. Speaking of Ran... she seemed rather testy.
More rocks! Ran hissed, tail sweeping forward as she tried to bat them away. The pinged her hide and they hurt.
"Thunder!" They would play this quick and use the field... Lex didn't want to loose control of Ran, but the Gyarados was new. He needed to work with her.
Ran growled and roared, shooting out a burst of hot thunder at the Sharpedo.

The thunder struck Baratro and he started to float around a bit aimlessly. He floated around the towers a few times before finally gaining control again.
Willa watched the sharpedo while impatiently tapping her foot. She watched the gyarados carefully before giving her attention back to Baratro. This gyarados really needed to... chill out. "Bara, ice fang again!"
The sharpedo promptly obeyed her command and started to chill his fangs before attempting to bite into his opponent once more.

They are attempting to freeze us in place. Dangerous. Gorgeous but dangerous and if that is how they wanted to play. "Ran! Attract!"
The Gyarados snorted, moving out of the way of the shark pokemon and tossed her head, eyes narrowed. Attract! On him? She huffed and grudgingly followed directions, sending a wave of throaty song at Baratro.

Baratro stared blankly at the gyarados. Singing? Oh, okay. The polite thing to do would be just to float there and listen but...
"Bara, try again!" Willa called out again, arms crossed over her chest and she continued to tap her foot impatiently.
Baratro nodded (would that even be considered a nod?) and rushed up to his opponent.

She was frozen! Ran struggled, roaring in anger as she attempted to freeze herself. How dare heee! She screeched and thrashed.
"Scald!" Lex called, making a note to see how Sharpedo actually reacted to singing.
Ran puffed her self up, scales nearly glowing and spat a torrent of hot water at the Sharpedo.
