It was warm. Lex lounged in the soft grass in the woods, taking a moment to relax. He was also taking the moment to get to know his ekans. The galactic trainee tracked the graceful snakes movement by the occasional glint of golden scales in the branches. Asha was normal coloration but gorgeous and either shy or a loner in personality. She certainly wasn't as outgoing as Hollin or angry like Ran, or chatty like Merda.
She was strong, the muscles of her flexible body contracting as she slithered about the tree giving a quite hiss ever so often. A hint of the strong and capable warrior she would be when she got older and evolved into an Arbok.

Rao weaved back and forth in the grass, occasionally dropping to the ground before springing back up, never repeating the same motion twice. A short distance away, Sidley was curled up on his Team Magma uniform, watching with calm disinterest. Her ears pricked at the sound of moving grass a fair ways away, and she launched to her feet, immediately aware.
Rao stopped his shadow fighting and looked at the pachirisu, catching his breath. "Are the feminists here?" The pachirisu simply pointed in the direction of the noise. Rao stepped over to Sidley and picked up his uniform, sliding it on. "Alright, let's go check it out."
Sidley hopped up onto his shoulder as he began to head off in the direction she had pointed.

Asha hung down from the branch, split tongue flickering out and in. The ekans gave a slow "Kaaan" and dropped down in the grass. She flickered her rattle, rising up and narrowed her eyes, giving a low "Kannn" again.
She was scenting something. Maybe something predatory? Possibly prey? Lex stood and reached down, lifting her up firmly around her middle, feeling the surprising weight and strength of his new addition as she curled about his arm. "Hello?" He called out, shifting slightly to a better stance, the trunk of the tree behind him comforting.

Rao stepped out into the open, his magma uniform in clear view. "Oh, good, you're a guy. Unless you're a feminist spy. Are you a feminist spy?" Rao narrowed his eyes at the other man. "Can never be too sure. The feminists, man, they're crafty. But I have to be craftier to beat them. You're not a spy, right?"

Whaattt? Lex blinked, taking in the magma uniform then the man, then the pachirisu... pointing direction and back. Okay? Feminist spy? "No?" He asked attempting to keep the confusion out of his voice.
Asha twitched, her blue eyes narrow and hissed, focusing on the small rodent pokemon. "Ekaaans."

Rao smiled. "Ah, okay, cool, man! So what're you doing out here? I don't think there's any feminists around, so it should be safe to talk." Without waiting for an answer, he continued. "Yeah, the feminists, man. I think they have a secret base in the ocean, but it's too hard to check, y'know? Like, if you were to watch television, you'd see. I don't watch television, I can't risk being exposed to feminist mind controls rays. I don't know if they have those, but I don't know if they don't. Another dude I met recently brought up the possibility. He was a pretty cool guy, like those guys that dress in snappy uniforms in those animes with the swords and the ZOOM. You know what I'm talking about, right, man?"
Atop his shoulder, Sidley cast a cold glance at the ekans.

Suree... Lex was really starting to wonder if he should start backing up slowly incase insanity, sickness, what ever was catching. "Mind control rays... in television. I thought it was solely subliminal messaging." Mind control rays... where was team Magma recruiting from? Not to mention the chauvinism. Of all times not to be crossdressing. Actually, he might have spared himself a large headache.
The pachirisu at least seemed well collected. Poor thing was likely the only thing keeping his strange guest from ending up dead somewhere. "What your pokemon's name?" Lets derail this conversation to something more simple, and much more intelligent and understandable. "No, not food," he scolded Asha, watching her tongue flick out once more, then slowly closed her jaw.

Rao's eyes went wide and he roared. "SUBLIMINAL MESSAGING!?" He started nervously chewing at his fingers. "This isn't good. This isn't good! I hadn't thought of that. They could be controlling your mind right now, and you'd never even know!" He gasped. "They could be controlling my mind! Oh no, oh no, what do I do they could be watching me right now, I could have told them everything and not even remember!"
As Rao began to hyperventilate, Sidley sighed and slapped him across the back of the head. "Thanks, Sid, I needed that." The pachirisu gave a short chatter as she nodded.
Rao remembered that he had been asked a question. "Oh, this is Sidley. She's my best friend and greatest ally against the feminists." At the last word, the pachirisu rolled her eyes.

Whipped... by a pokemon. A female pokemon at that. Lex shook his head and took a moment to pull out his batter worn pokedex and scanned the small electric type. A other in the Fairy breeding group, with Hollin.
Normal coloration, though more blue, maybe? The female rodent had a rather large display of markings. Almost a snowflake on her shoulder, and possibly a sun on her back, breaking up the blue stripe otherwise going from hair tuff to tail. "It is a pleasure, Sidley." He said and place the dex back in his pocket. "And you?" He asked, hoping to get a name so he could add it to the list of people to avoid like the plague.
Asha started at the pachirisu and then back at the spazzing human. "... is your male always like this?" She questioned, voice warm and clipped as if she was focused on the pronunciation.

Sidley barely responded to Lex at all.
Obviously still perturbed from earlier, Rao narrowed his eyes. "I'm not sure I can trust you, man. You might be one of them and not even know it. For now, you can call me Mega Badass the Third."
The pachirisu gave the ekans a hard look.
"What do you mean, 'my male'? Are you insinuating him to be my mate? He simply happens to be male, and I simply happen to be female. Why does gender need to come into this? But to answer your question, more or less."

"MBT then," no way was he going to call the grunt Mega Badass the Third and it was sort of sad that the man in front of him was of higher rank in his organization. "Perhaps, though I'm not sure how one would go about figuring out if they are part of the feminist party."
The pachirisu was much more interesting. Yet, it was odd how many rodent shape pokemon were electric types. It certainly deserved some though of why, but perhaps it was because most predators were flying types? "What is Sidley favorite type of berry?" Change subject, change subject. Drop the feminist party bit.
Asha snorted, amusement radiating off her in waves as the smaller rodent pokemon chattered. "I rather not of had the image of you two mating cross my mind. It involves limbs," she muttered, nose wrinkling at the idea of flailing appendages and ugh, how did they coordinate such things.

Rao shook his head. "No, I said 'Mega Badass the Third'. Your hearing isn't very good. MBT doesn't sound anything like that. And that's the point, man. If you could figure out if you were being controlled by feminist mind control, it wouldn't be very controlling. And I dunno that Sidley likes anything."
Atop his shoulder, Sidley nodded her agreement.

"Yeah, I'm not calling you Mega Badass the Third. Or Mega, Badass, or the Third. At most I might call you Megs," Lex said dryly. "You can call me Lex, and this is Asha." He motioned to the ekans around his arm.
"So, what brings you here into the woods anyhow?" He shifted, loosing the ekans from his arm and onto the grass. She wouldn't eat Sidley. "Some sort of secret Magna mission? Hidden base? Randomness?"

"Eh, whatever, man." Rao shook his head, sighing. "As the days go by, I realize more and more that you are not ballin'."
"Actually, I'm the only magma member here, to my knowledge. So we don't actually have a base yet. I should get one, though. A pimp a** one, with gold and big a** emblems. And hamburgers." He nodded to himself. "Yeah. That'd be badass."

The only thing that Lex agree about that statement was hamburgers. Team magma was now on the bottom of the list of things to watch for. Scary and imposing they were not. "Hamburgers are good." Actually, he could use some food.
He sat down, comfortable enough to ignore the magma member and started to look through the bag, pulling out a small bag of pokefood for his ekans and a sandwich for himself. "You want a sandwich? Turkey and cheddar on eight grain bread."
