After his first run in with a dragon, that being a rather pissy Kiandri from the sandy continent of Eowyn, Tallulah decided that he should probably deal with a dragon that was a little on the weaker side. Not to mention he'd found himself getting chewed out by Eyphah, a Diabi Drakein, about where it was he should be fighting, what he should be fighting, and how if he wasn't careful he was going to be eaten by the powerful dragons of Eowyn. The scarred up Drakein even went on to tell him all about how there were even more dangerous dragons in the desert as well, ones bigger and badder then the Kiandri, and that he was most certainly in the wrong place. If nothing else at least the guy was nice enough to offer him help in finding dragons that were more suitable for a 'newbie' as he had dubbed Tallulah. It wasn't the nicest of nicknames but he supposed that it was one that was more fitting for him. So with that the two of the had traveled from Eowyn to a place called Serenia, one that seemed a whole lot more hospitable and was filled with 'birds' Eyphah had said.
So here he was now, prowling the forests of Serenia, while Eyphah was off screwing around somewhere. He'd said that the Ysali of this place weren't a match for him, that just looking at them caused the beasts to keel over dead, and as such that would be a waste as far as he was concerned. Not to mention that they were here for Tallulah's benefit. If he didn't fight the dragons on his own he would never get any stronger. He had to agree really. How else was he supposed to prove himself if he left all of the hunting up to Eyphah? No, he had to learn to fight, learn to pull his own weight, and he was going to start with the dragons known as Ysali... Of course the problem was finding them. He had a feeling that they likely blended in well with the surroundings, making it all that much more difficult to find one of them, "Mmm... come on out Ysali, I just want to try to battle with you." He said in a quiet voice, not quite sure if he was actually ready to take them on all on his own even if he knew that he had to fight them to get strong. If they were anything like the Kiandri it would be an intimidating challenge but if he were wanting to become as strong as the Diabi was then he'd have defeat many of them, "I just want one... little... ack!" A sound a bit like a squawk escaped from Tallulah as he came face to face with not one, but two Ysali.
He went stock still, starring up at them, eyes going rather wide... and as one of them opened his maw to roar at him the Merkein instantly whirled around on his heel and was running in the opposite direction. He knew that it wasn't all that brave of him, he knew he was supposed to be fighting them and getting their orbs, but he was terrified! He didn't stop running until he crashed headlong into Eyphah, who starred at him in a manner that said he was quite disappointed in the way that he'd fled, and Tallulah could only duck his head in embarrassment, "Ahh... s-sorry... Eyphah... I will do better next time, they just startled me is all!" He explained, and would have been blushing if it were possible for a Merkein to do so.
